Every Christian Should Be A Soulwinner

Matthew 28:19-20, “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”

The preceding passage of Scripture from the intriguing book of Matthew is commonly refereed to as: “THE GREAT COMMISSION” in the Scripture. In this passage we see four commands:
  1. Go ye (the labor of soulwinning)
  2. Teach all nations (the Gospel)
  3. Baptize converts with water after the get saved (their public profession)
  4. Indoctrinate converts with the Word of God (so they'll perpetuate the Gospel)
May I say, kindly, if you are not obeying this passage of Scripture, you are not a good Christian. If you are attending a church that is not carrying out 'The Great Commission,' as our dear Lord commanded, then your church is dropping the ball for God. A church that does not go soulwinning is a mere social club. God did not save us to Sit On The Premises, but to Stand On The Promises. The great heart of God is to see souls saved. Luke 15:7, “I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.” Heaven rejoices every time a sinner repents to believe the Gospel.

We all have a responsibility to witness the Gospel to the lost around us. We are responsible to share the Gospel with our loved ones. We are responsible to share the Gospel with our friends. We are responsible to share the Gospel with the acquaintances in our life. I've witnessed to my doctor. I witnessed to my neighbour next door. I've witnessed to the attendant at the local gas station. I've witnessed to a family while walking. I've witnessed to people at the Harvest Baptist Church on Guam, some of whom (including staff members are not saved). That is because the church has been deceived by the Devil, replacing the Gospel of free grace with the lie of Lordship Salvation.

Every Christian should be a soulwinner. There is something wrong with a believer who is not soul-conscious. If you believe that the Bible is God's inspired Word, then you ought to be concerned about the eternal destination of others. One of my favorite sermons is by Pastor Bob Gray Sr. called: “Let's Go Soul Warning.” Our first responsibility as Christians is soulwinning. Nobody sends anybody to Hell. People are already going to Hell.

I saw a shameful T-shirt today that read: “If I go to Hell, at least I'll be with my friends.” If you do end up in Hell with your friends, you'll feel like the biggest fool who ever lived, for letting your friends go to Hell. What kind of “friend” wants to see their friends burn in Hell? I don't want you as my friend. No way! I want a friend who cares enough about me to warn me about Hell, so I won't go there when I die. I am the best friend you have right now! You can have eternal life for free dear friend.

We are all sinners (Romans 3:10-23). We have all broken God's Commandments. We've all broken all of the Ten Commandments. God never intended for us to keep the law to merit eternal life. God gave us the law to show humanity how sinful we are, so we would be silenced of any self-righteous boasting, and recognize our guilt as sinners. Romans 3:19, “Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.The law shows us that we are needy sinners, in need of the blessed Savior. Galatians 3:24-26, “Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. That is so beautiful. We are all deserving of God's punishment.

Romans 6:23, “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.We all deserve to go to Hell forever, to pay for our own sins. Something is wrong with a professed Christian who doesn't believe in Hell. What do you need a Savior for if there is no eternal damnation in Hell? You had better believe that there is a place called Hell, where Christ-rejecters spend eternity suffering in torments, because the Bible says so! Revelation 20:14-15, “And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” All Christ-rejecters will eventually be cast into the Lake of Fire for all eternity without end, tormented day and night without rest (Revelation 14:11). If you don't believe that, you are a stupid fool. I triple-dog dare you to disprove the Holy Bible! The King James Bible was here long before you were born, and it will be here long after you are gone. Matthew 24:35, “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.”

The “GOOD NEWS” (or GOSPEL”) is that God the Father has made a way of escape for you and me. Romans 5:9, “Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.” That way of escape is through God's only begotten Son, Jesus. Philippians 3:9, And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:You cannot save yourself! I cannot save myself! Satan's greatest weapon is to con people into living the Christian life without ever being born again! You don't have to do anything to get to Heaven, except BELIEVE ON THE LORD JESUS CHRIST (Acts 16:30-31). If you don't believe, you will go to Hell forever (John 8:24).

Jesus died on the cross to pay our debt of sin. He was buried. After three days Jesus bodily resurrected from the dead. This is the GOOD NEWS by which we are saved if we believe (1st Corinthians 15:1-4). Romans 1:15-16, “So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also. For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.” Faith is not based on a feeling, but a fact! We are not saved by looking AT Jesus, nor AWAY from Jesus, but UNTO Jesus! Simply receive Christ's sacrifice on the cross as payment for your sins, believing that He has bodily risen from the dead, and you will be saved immediately, irrevocably and eternally. You have the Lord's promise of it! John 11:25, “Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:I believe, do you?
