Why Does God Punish The Wicked Forever?

2nd Thessalonians 1:7-10, "And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day."

This passage of Scripture teaches that the punishment for not obeying the Gospel is "everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord." In our human thinking, we associate a particular crime with a certain predetermined punishment, decided by legislators. Likewise, God has already predetermined that the punishment for rejecting God's free gift of eternal life by faith alone in Christ, is eternal damnation. That is the penalty!

I used to wonder why even after one trillion years of burning in Hell, shouldn't Hitler and other evil madmen of history be given some relief and cessation of punishment? But that is according to our human understanding of justice. The Lord's ways and thoughts are above man's ways and thoughts. God has decided that the just penalty for rejecting His only begotten Son as Savior, is to be punished in the Lake of Fire forever, absent from the Lord's presence. I feel that is unfair. I think the punishment is too great.

I humbly protest against such a cruel God! Yet, I am told in Isaiah 55:8-9 that God thinks higher than I do. God is more righteous and holier than any human being could ever comprehend. So despite my respectful protest, I choose to trust my God's judgment and wisdom, knowing that God is faithful. 1st Corinthians 1:9, "God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord." What saith the Scripture? 2nd Timothy 2:13, "If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself." If we refuse to receive God's free gift of eternal life, by faith alone in His only begotten Son, then we have no one to blame except our self for going to Hell.

The magnitude of eternal damnation as punishment, is only fitting for the magnitude of such an injurious insult to God, as to wilfully reject His sacrificed only begotten Son on the cross for one's crimes against God and humanity.

I Made Bob Jones University Change 'Statement Of Faith'

Matthew 4:4, “But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.” Proverbs 30:5-6, “Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.”

Bob Jones University (BJU) define religious hypocrisy. I say that in love (Ephesians 4:15). Please read the following hypocritical BJU Statement of Faith from 2017 regarding the Bible:

“Although Bob Jones University does not hold to a King James Only position, we continue to hold the widely-used King James Version (KJV) as the campus standard in the classroom and in the chapel pulpit. The position of the University on the translation issue has not changed since the founding of the school in 1927.
We believe in the verbal, plenary inspiration of the Bible in the original manuscripts, and we believe that God has supernaturally preserved every one of His inspired words for us today. However, from the founder to the present administration, we have never taken the position that there can be only one good translation in the English language.” [emphasis added]

What a blatant contradiction! BJU are claiming that God has kept His solemn promise in Psalms 12:6-7 to supernaturally PRESERVE “EVERY ONE” OF HIS INSPIRED WORDS FOREVER. And I fully agree with that statement—that God has preserved “EVERY ONE” of His inspired Words for today. But BJU horribly and utterly contradict themselves when they bid Godspeed to having MULTIPLE Bible versions! In fact, BJU uses, sells, sanctions and promotes multiple different Bible revisions, which contradict each other in thousands of places. Take a look at how corrupt the English Standard Version (ESV) is that BJU relentlessly uses, sells and promotes. How can we have “EVERY ONE” of God's preserved inspired Words today, if we have multiple Bible versions in any particular language?

For this obvious reason, I caused Bob Jones University to change their Statement of Faith on the Bible, which in 2020 now instead reads:

“Bob Jones University holds to the verbal, plenary inspiration of the Bible in the original manuscripts and that God has supernaturally preserved His inspired words in the totality of extant manuscript evidence.

The position of the University on biblical translations has not changed since the founding of the school in 1927. Although Bob Jones University does not hold to a King James Only position, and from the founder to the present administration, we have never taken the position that there can be only one good translation in the English language, we continue to use the King James Version (KJV) as the campus standard in the undergraduate classroom and chapel pulpit. [emphasis added]

SOURCE: BJU Position Statements

Do you see what BJU changed? They remove the phrase “EVERY ONE.” Gotcha! By changing their Statement of Faith, BJU clearly evidences that THEY KNOW they're in error on the Holy Bible. How can we have “EVERY ONE of God's inspired Words preserved for us today, unless we have an EVERY WORD Bible? BJU just told on themselves!

What saith the Scripture? Matthew 4:4, “But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.” Proverbs 30:5-6, “Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.” Do you see how hypocritical BJU are to deny that we have EVERY WORD of God today? They had to change their story, because saying that we have “EVERY WORD” inspired by God today means that we can only have ONE BIBLE!!! Since BJU sells, uses and supports multiple Bible versions, they had to correct an obvious problem in their Statement of Faith, which revealed their utter hypocrisy. I am not trying to be cute or mean, I am obeying God to “earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.” (Jude 1:3).

In case I wasn't clear enough, here is a comparison of BJU's doctrinal position on the Bible between 2017 and now in 2020. Please notice that they have removed the phrase “EVERY ONE” from their Statement of Faith:

2017 BJU Statement of Faith...

We believe in the verbal, plenary inspiration of the Bible in the original manuscripts, and we believe that God has supernaturally preserved every one of His inspired words for us today. However, from the founder to the present administration, we have never taken the position that there can be only one good translation in the English language.” [emphasis added]

2020 BJU Statement of Faith...

“Bob Jones University holds to the verbal, plenary inspiration of the Bible in the original manuscripts and that God has supernaturally preserved His inspired words in the totality of extant manuscript evidence. [emphasis added]

SOURCE: BJU Position Statements

They deceitfully removed the phrase “EVERY ONE.” Why did BJU remove those words from their Statement of Faith? The reason is obvious—because they are in error. The reason is because BJU in fact do not believe that we have EVERY WORD inspired by God today. It is gross theological incompetence and hypocrisy to claim that we have “EVERY ONE of God's preserved inspired Words today, while supporting umpteen different English Bible revisions (which all disagree with each other in thousands of places). That is why BJU changed their Statement of Faith (which I am humbly glad to say I made them change through my unapologetic Bible preaching, to God alone be the praise and glory).

Every police detective knows that if someone is lying, all you have to do to expose them is to keep asking questions. If someone is lying, at some point they will have to CHANGE THEIR STORY. But if someone is telling THE TRUTH, you can ask them questions for months and their story will NEVER CHANGE. BJU changed their story on the Bible, to cover their theological lies! My preaching has never changed. Why has BJU's Statement of Faith changed? It is because they had to change their story to cover-up their theological lies about the Bible.

BJU deceitfully claims that their position on the Bible has never changed since 1927, which is horribly untrue. Dr. Bob Jones Sr. (1883-1968) only used the inspired King James Bible!!! That is all he faithfully preached from—the inspired King James Bible. I dare you to show me otherwise! Good luck trying! BJU has sat sinfully idle, going along with the apostate Devil's crowd who keep changing the Holy Bible. There is no honor in going along with those who corrupt the Holy Bible. In other words, by not changing BJU has changed.

For example: If you are close friends with someone, but then one day they start committing a crime (let's say using and selling illegal drugs), you have to make a decision to either dissociate with them, or become complicit to their evil deeds. When the police come to arrest your friend for selling drugs, and you are sitting in their living room surrounded by piles of illegal drugs, you won't be able to say that you've never changed from being an honest person. You will be arrested as an accomplice! That may be a crude illustration, but it makes a good valid point. I think it is a good illustration. 2nd John 1:11, “For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.” A true Bible Fundamentalist has to continually change, by separating from those who change! So, by not separating from the deteriorating religious scene in America, BJU has changed big time!

“There is a spirit of discouragement in churches like I've never seen before!” —Pastor Danny Castle, a quote from the sermon titled: “The Lost Generation

Sin Is Crime Against God, Which Must Be Paid For!

Romans 6:23, For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

One of my faithful web visitors authored the following thoughts about repentance:

“Why Repentance of Sins Will Not Save You”

People today don’t seem to understand why repenting of sins will not save them, and why it is not a part of anything that will eternally save them.

It is good that you’re sorry for doing wrong, for sinning.

It is good that you stop sinning in one area.

But stopping sinning and being sorry that you sin could be compared to a criminal before a judge.

The fact that you’re sorry for doing your crime and the fact you stop doing your crime will not stop you from being punished for the crime you’ve already done.

~Only~ believing in the shed blood and death for sins of Jesus, that He died for your sins and rose again, will save you from eternal punishment for sin.

This is also why “committing your life to Christ” will not save you.

The man who commits himself to doing good things does not pay for his crime.

No good work such as water baptism, confession of sin, confession of faith, church membership, Lord’s Supper, discipleship, love, charity, or anything else, have anything to do with salvation from Hell.

Our good works are tainted by sin and selfishness and disconnection from God, pride and ego.

Salvation is entirely and only accomplished by Jesus.

His righteous life, His death on the cross for our sins, and His resurrection.

Believing in or adding anything to Jesus destroys the Gospel of God’s free grace.

Jesus forgives my sins and Jesus is my righteousness.

In Him, I have new life, a new self, indwelled by God’s Spirit.

Hallelujah.

Bravo my Brother in Christ! I fully agree. Many religious people today are foolishly trying to merit their way to Heaven—by doing many wonderful works, supporting their local church, living the Christian life, and preaching superficially about Jesus. However, the issue is that we are ALL guilty criminals in the sight of a holy God (Romans 3:19-20). Sin must be paid for! Your goodness, no matter how honorable and mentionable, cannot compensate for the crimes against God you've already committed.

When you sin against a fellow human being, you have also sinned against God. A person may forgive you for doing them wrong, but now you must also make things right with God! That is why the Ten Commandments can be divided in half. The first five deal with man's relationship to God; the last five deal with man's relationship to man. There is man's system of justice, and then there is God's system of justice. You can be sentenced to life in prison by man's justice system, yet be freely justified from all things in God's justice system by faith in the blood of Jesus (Acts 13:39; 1st Peter 1:18-19). So it is one thing to be right with man, and another thing entirely to be right with God.

Sin is crime in God's eyes. All humanity are guilty sinners (Romans 3:23)! The $64,000 question is: Have you received Christ's sacrifice on the cross as payment for your crimes?

Jesus Paid It All

1st Peter 1:18-19, “Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.”

I went walking along the ocean one morning at 5:30, and saw a window sticker on the pickup truck in front of me, that read, “JESUS PAID IT ALL!” What a beautiful thought—JESUS PAID IT ALL!

This one statement—JESUS PAID IT ALL—condemns the false teaching that a person must “turn away from sinful ways” as a requirement to receive the free gift of God, which is forgiveness of sins and eternal life.

This one statement—JESUS PAID IT ALL—condemns the false teaching that a person must be sorry for their sins and turn over a new leaf to receive the free gift of God.

This one statement—JESUS PAID IT ALL—condemns the false teaching that a person must receive Jesus as their “LORD” to receive the free gift of God.

This one statement—JESUS PAID IT ALL—condemns the false teaching that a person must commit their life to live for Jesus Christ to receive the free gift of God.

This one statement—JESUS PAID IT ALL—condemns the false teaching that a person must follow Jesus as His disciple to receive the free gift of God.

This one statement—JESUS PAID IT ALL—condemns the false teaching that a person must publicly confess the name of Jesus to receive the free gift of God.

To all you reprobate preachers I say—JESUS PAID IT ALL! To Pastor John MacArthur and his Calvinist doctrine of Lordship Salvation I say—JESUS PAID IT ALL! To Evangelist Ray Comfort and his heresy that a person must turn from sinful living to be saved I say—JESUS PAID IT ALL! To Harvest Baptist Church on Guam and their Lordship Salvation heresy I say—JESUS PAID IT ALL!

The price for sin has been paid. Thus, forgiveness of sins is a “free gift” (Romans 5:15b) that you simply receive by faith in the Gospel. Eternal life is a free gift, that you simply receive by faith in the Gospel. JESUS PAID IT ALL! JESUS PAID IT ALL! JESUS PAID IT ALL!

Salvation is the free gift of God. You don't earn it. You don't merit it. You simply receive it by faith, by believing 'THE GOSPEL' ('THE GOOD NEWS') of Jesus Christ's death on the cross, burial and bodily resurrection the third day.
“But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies...” —2nd Peter 2:1

Faith Alone = Salvation; Faith + Works = Service

James 2:10-14, “For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law. So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty. For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment. What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him? James 1:25, But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

Carefully notice in James 2:14 the words “my brethren.” The Apostle James is speaking to born-again believers here. “The perfect law of liberty” is the inspired Word of God according to James 1:25. In this life we want the blessings of God, and in Heaven we want the rewards. Salvation is simply accepting God's gift of eternal life. But we're not there yet, and it's not over, so we have to serve Him faithfully until we get there, if we want God's blessings in this life and to receive rewards in Heaven. This has nothing to do with salvation, which is the gift of eternal life. It is so important dear reader that you understand the following truths from the Bible:

FAITH ALONE = SALVATION (ROMANS 4)

FAITH + WORKS = SERVICE (JAMES 2)

Romans chapter 4 is about salvation. James chapter 2 is about service. God doesn't make us serve Him. He may make you wish you had. You may be sick in prison or even die prematurely because of sin. As a child of God we cannot live as we please and get away with it. God is not an absent parent. Hebrews 12:6, “For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.” Unfaithfulness always costs. A lack of discipline in your life is always paying a price. It's costing you from something that you could have been rewarded for, but you'll lose out in eternity! James chapter 2 speaks of rewards that are earned by works. Romans chapter 4 speaks of salvation that is obtained solely by faith.

There's a God in Heaven Who sees everything, and you're not getting away with anything (Proverbs 24:12; Matthew 12:36). The way we live is seen by others (Matthew 5:16). Romans 4 speaks of God's righteousness received as a gift. James 2 speaks of rewards earned by works. Our attitude determines our altitude as a Christian in life. Your whole life revolves around profit and loss as a believer. Your faith cannot save you from loss of rewards at the Judgment Seat of Christ, but your faith alone can save you from Hell. Oh how most believers will suffer great loss in eternity for a wasted life on earth (1st Corinthians 3:11-15). As believers we are not settlers here on earth, we are pilgrims passing through.

Matthew 4:19, “And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” If you are not fishing for men, you are not following Christ! God is going to reward you for your faithfulness to Him. You alone decide how faithful you are going to be to Him, and He will reward you accordingly (1st Corinthians 3:5-9). Remember that you are saved by God's grace, and not by works. We are saved by what Jesus did through the cross to pay for our sins. PAID IN FULL! We don't serve Him to go to Heaven, we go to Heaven solely on the merit of WHAT JESUS DID to pay for our sins with His precious blood!

In James 2, the apostle speaks about Abraham being justified in the eyes of men by works, when he offered up his only son Isaac, whom God promised would be the heir of a great nation. Abraham believed if he obeyed God by killing Isaac, that God could and would raise him up from the dead, because God had made a solemn promise to Abraham concerning Isaac, that he would be heir of a great nation someday (Israel). We're not talking about salvation in James 2, we're talking about service. This is what Jesus meant in Mark 8:35, “For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it. Everyone has assets and liabilities. We all have something to offer God. We all have things about us that is no good. The more that you get to know people, the more you'll realize they're not so great after all. People may seem like angels at first, but there's about 9 inches between a halo and a noose!

James 2 is speaking to believers about what we say and do, now that we are saved. We are all going to be judge someday by God for everything that we have said and done in the body (2nd Corinthians 5:10-11; Romans 14:10-12). Most of these notes in my article were taken from a beautiful sermon, by one of my favorite preachers Pastor Ralph 'Yankee' Arnold, called: “Faith Without Works.” Just as the body without the spirit is dead, so also faith without works dead. A man is justified by his works for service, but by faith for salvation.

NIV: The Antichrist's Bible!

Psalms 12:6-7, “The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.” Psalms 119:140, “Thy word is very pure: therefore thy servant loveth it.” 2nd Corinthians 2:17, “For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.

The following needful excerpts are taken from Pastor Al Lacy's (1933-2016) excellent book called, “NIV: The Antichrist's Bible” (hard copies are available):

The NIV’s Attack on Jesus Christ

I have a New International Version bible. It is a paperback because I did not want to pay any more than I had to. I am going to show you what the NIV says compared to the King James Bible. You are going to see that the NIV is Antichrist’s bible. A lot of people are shocked to find this out because some of their favorite televangelists and radio ministers use the NIV.

Take your Bible now and turn to I John 2:18. Under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, John writes:

Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.

Now, check your dictionaries. The prefix anti means “against.” So, we could say that there are many antichrists in the fact that there are so many people against Jesus Christ. If John thought there were a NIV Antichrist Bible.

NIV The Antichrist’s Bible large number in his day, he should see the world today. There are many antichrists, people against Christ; but there is one man that we read of up there first, ....as ye have heard that antichrist shall come. One man is going to control this world during the Tribulation period. He is going to slaughter people who get saved through the King James Bible. He is going to kill them because they will not take the mark of the beast. He is a murderer. Antichrist shall come.

I personally believe that Antichrist is already an adult. He is already on this earth. He is already in political power in some country. God has him clouded so that we cannot know who he is. II Thessalonians 2 tells us that nobody will know who the Antichrist is until you and I are raptured out of here. Then, if you want to know who it is, you are going to have to look back over your shoulder while you are going up in the clouds. Antichrist shall come soon. I am just as sure that we are very close to the coming of our precious Lord Jesus Christ.

Look in I John 4:3,

And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist,...

Antichrist is against Christ. His NIV bible is against Christ. NIV Antichrist Bible. The NIV’s Attack on Jesus Christ

…whereof ye have heard that it should come; (that is the spirit of antichrist) and even now already is it in the world.

The spirit was in the world in John’s day. I am going to show you how closely related the spirit of Antichrist is to Satan.

The spirit of Antichrist, as you can see, was already there in John’s day.

In the book of Daniel, Antichrist is called the ten horned beast and he is called the king. In II Thessalonians, he is called the man of sin. In Revelation, many times Antichrist is called the beast.

II Thessalonians 2:3,4: Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day... (speaks of the day of Christ in the verses ahead of that. That is when He comes back and all these things happen.) ...for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin... (who is that? Antichrist) …be revealed, the son of perdition;

Do not forget that Antichrist is called the son of perdition. The next verse goes on to say,

Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

These are Devil's Bibles in the churches today. If you are using anything other than an inspired King James Bible, you are using the Devil's bible!

What Does Hebrews 10:26-27 Mean?

Hebrews 10:26-27, “For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.”

Can a Christian lose salvation? No! It is God's salvation (Philippians 3:9).

“For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.” —Hebrews 10:26-27

Admittedly, Hebrews 10:26-27 seems to teach losing one's salvation is possible at a glance, i.e., if we take just those two Scriptures by themselves.  However, consider verse 29:

Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

What genuine believer would consider the blood of Jesus an "unholy thing"?  Clearly, to me, the context of these Scriptures is speaking about an unsaved person who treads under foot the precious blood of Jesus.  Also, notice verse 26:

“For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins.”

The Bible speaks about “receiving the knowledge of the truth”; but this is not the same as receiving Jesus Christ as one's Savior.  Rocker, Ozzy Osbourne, has the knowledge of the truth; but he spits on it and deliberately rejects it...

http://www.jesus-is-savior.com/Basics/men_who_rejected_jesus_christ.htm

I think Hebrews 10:25 can best be interpreted by shedding the Light of 1st John 2:19 upon it:
Hebrews 10:25, “They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.
So, I think, clearly, these Scriptures are warning the unsaved, many whom attended church for a while, that their day of reckoning is coming. To evidence my teachings here as truth, please consider that these Scriptures MUST be reconciled with the rest of the Bible, with such Scriptures as:
Ephesians 2:8-9, “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”
Here we see the term “the gift of God.” If living in sin could cause a person to lose their salvation, then where does the term “gift” become meaningful? It could not. By every definition the word gift” means that there are no strings attached; you simply take God's gift of forgiveness of sins and eternal life by trusting Jesus Christ:
John 11:25, “Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live.
Salvation is a free gift (Romans 5:15, 17-18), which is obtained by simply receiving it...
John 1:12, “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.”
John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
There is nothing in John 3:16 about living a consecrated life to get to Heaven. I could go on and on with examples. I have written many articles on my “False Doctrines page exposing the ridiculous foolishness and self-righteous hypocrisy of the Lordship Salvation heresy.

The writer of Hebrews (which I think was the Apostle Paul) addresses Israel. The writer addresses his Jewish brethren, warning them to make sure of their salvation in chapter 10, as did Paul to the churchgoers at Corinth, which the following verse confirms:
2nd Corinthians 13:5, Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobate.”
The Jews are God's chosen people; but tragically, very few of them are God's children, i.e., saved and on their way to Heaven. As believers WE SHOUD live for Christ; not MUST (that is works); not WILL (that would be Calvinism). Titus 2:12, “Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;Do Christians always obey God's Word? No, we sure don't! That is because we are still trapped in the body of this death. That is why Paul said in Romans 7:24, “O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?” In the next verse Paul lifts himself up and proclaims:I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin” (Romans 7:25). So remember, WE SHOULD live a sanctified life for God, as we allow the indwelling Holy Spirit to live through us (Romans 8:9; Galatians 2:20; 5:22-25).

Also, carefully consider the word
adversaries (enemy) in Hebrews 10:27. Again, the context of this Scripture passage is speaking about the unsaved—those who tread under foot the blood of Jesus. The plainest teachings in the Bible proclaim that eternal life is a free gift (Romans 5:15; 6:23), which cannot be merited in any way (Romans 10:3-4). Salvation is obtained only by the IMPUTED righteousness of Jesus Christ, i.e., we need HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS to enter into God's Kingdom:
Romans 4:5, 22-25, But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him [Jesus] that justifieth the ungodly [you and me], his faith is counted for righteousness... And therefore it was imputed to him [Abraham] for righteousness. Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him; But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead; Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.
Conclusion

There is absolutely nothing in the Bible which teaches that a Christian can ever lose salvation. Eternal life is a free gift, which Jesus paid for, and is ours to keep simply by believing on Christ with a childlike faith. A person who claims that they “
used to believe on Christ, but no longer does, is a liar. That's the same lie as someone who says, “I used to love you.” No you didn't! Love never fails. The world's synthetic type of love may fail, but God's love never fails. One who genuinely believes on Jesus, as the Christ, will never stop believing on Christ. Oh sure, they may go through a time of depression like John the Baptist did (John had heard a rumor that Jesus wasn't the Christ, which made him doubt, Luke 7:17), or curse the name of Jesus like Peter, but their salvation will never be in jeopardy and cannot be lost. How can we lose by bad works what we didn't earn by good works? It is impossible.

Please don't misunderstand, I am not promoting Calvinism. I adamantly believe that all five tenets of Calvinism are of the Devil. Calvinism is another gospel. In fact, Lordship Salvation is nothing more than Calvinism repackaged. I believe what Pastor Harry A. Ironside (1876-1951) believed—in the perseverance of the Holy Spirit, not the perseverance of the saints. Calvinism teaches that if a person is saved, they WILL persevere in works, holiness and growth in grace until the race is finished. Professed believers who indulge in adultery and other horrible sins are accused of never having repented of their sins, and assumed lost. This Calvinist heresy of “The Perseverance Of The Saints” is absolute junk theology!

What saith the Scripture? Acts 13:39, “And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.” Romans 5:20, “Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:”

The spiritual birth is as irreversible as the physical birth. You don't just get “
unborn. People may turn away from the philosophy of Christ, or from religion or church membership, or even from living for God; but a truly born-again individual cannot lose the gift of God, which was given to them by faith alone, thus counting their faith for righteousness (Romans 4:5). Christ's righteousness was imputed to their record in Heaven the moment they were saved (2nd Corinthians 5:21), so that they don't need any self-righteousness to get into Heaven. No amount of personal sin can undo the righteousness of Jesus Christ which is imputed to every believer by faith at the time of salvation.

Does this give us a “
license to sin? Yes, in a sense, because we are saved permanently; but it doesn't give us God's permission to sin:
Romans 3:31, “Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.”
Every believer will be judged at the Judgment Seat of Christ for the good and bad done in the flesh (Romans 14:12; 2nd Corinthians 5:10). But a consecrated life of holy living has absolutely nothing to do with the gift of eternal life which is by faith alone in Christ Jesus. Salvation is by faith only; but service is by faith plus works. That is what James is teaching in James chapter 2, faith without works is dead. James is speaking about Christian service to the Lord. In Romans, the Apostle Paul is speaking about salvation, and makes it very clear that we are saved without works (Romans 4:5-6). This is salvation, by faith alone.

Evangelist Billy Sunday (1862-1935)

Hell Is Forever, Please Make Sure You're Saved

Matthew 7:21-23, “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” Luke 13:23-24, Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them, Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.

I shudder when I think of what Bob Jones University has become. Perhaps you wonder why I relentlessly preach against them. Dear reader, it is because I care. I really do! Nearly all of my teachers at Hyles-Anderson College were BJU graduates, including the beloved former longtime president of HAC, Dr. Wendell Evans (whom I admire tremendously still today). I still can still hear him singing in chapel, “It Is Well With My Soul” (his favorite song to sing in chapel). I have never once regretted attending eight years of HAC. It is the best decision I ever made! Sadly, since 2008 they no longer believe that the King James Bible is inspired, which is a very big problem, because it opens a Pandora's box to the corrupt modern revisions! In a generation or two, HAC (like BJU) will be selling corruptible seed in their bookstore (if not already). I had better not find out about it, or I'll make them enemy #1! I just checked HAC's bookstore and they are okay still. Amen for that! I wanted to order seven of their Classic Soulwinner's New Testaments, but they don't ship to Guam. But you can order them, and I recommend these. Brother Stancil was one of my teachers at HAC, of whom I am grateful.

Only the King James Bible upholds a free grace Gospel. If you are using the Devil's corruptible seed (i.e., the modern Bible versions), then you have a corrupt gospel. Anyway, I am writing this article because I fear most professed Christians today are not really born-again believers. I am talking about the messed-up Harvest Baptist Church on Guam, who promote Dr. Steve Pettit and Pastor John MacArthur. Harvest broadcasts 'The Daily Platform' (BJU's ungodly chapel messages), which teach Lordship Salvation and promote the Devil's Bible revisions. I know some people must think I am being unethical to be so harsh in my preaching, but you would understand and agree if you truly believed in a burning eternal Hell. Dr. Steve Pettit's own words condemn him! I guess I'm like Elijah, a troublemaker! 1st Kings 18:17, “And it came to pass, when Ahab saw Elijah, that Ahab said unto him, Art thou he that troubleth Israel? You bet I am!

One of the most disturbing passages of Scripture in the Holy Bible is Matthew 7:21-23. These people were religious. They served Jesus. They did not a few, but MANY wonderful works, and they did them in Jesus' name. They even cast out devils in Jesus' name. They preached (prophesied) in Jesus' name. Yet, the Lord Himself denied ever knowing them! John 10:27-28, “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. Calvinists (aka, Lordship Salvation) attempt to use this Scripture to justify their false doctrine.

Calvinists errantly say, if you are saved YOU WILL FOLLOW JESUS! But that is not what this passage means in John 10:27! What saith the Scripture? Romans 8:14, For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.John 10:27 simply means that every child of God has the indwelling Holy Spirit, and we are led by that Spirit. Some believers choose to walk in the flesh, disobeying the Spirit, but that doesn't mean they are not saved (1st Corinthians 5:5). It means they are carnally-minded, immature in the Lord (1st Corinthians 3:1; Luke 8:11-15). That is why we see a saved man with no rewards in 1st Corinthians 3:15b, saved; yet so as by fire.Salvation is by faith alone; serving Christ is by faith and works.

Please heed my warning dear friend. Dr. Steve Pettit is a spiritually dangerous man! He says, and I quote:

You can't just speak about getting saved, and you accepted Christ, and then that's it! There is a justification; There is a sanctification; There's ultimately a glorification, and though there are three parts, they are all part of the whole, and you cannot separate them. In order for you to qualify for the award, you have to get into the race, you have to stay in the race, and you have to finish the race. If you want to win, you have to run to the end; and winning in the Christian life is everything, because if you lose—if you don't finish—you lose everything—you lose your SOUL. And so, the Christian race is the life of faith that begins, is run, and is finished when we cross over into Heaven!” —Dr. Steve Pettit (“What Does It Mean To Run 'The Race'?” - 11:34)

Kindly said, Steve Pettit is NOT a born-again Christian! He is a devout follower of Dr. John MacArthur. No one is saved who thinks that more is required than simple childlike faith in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, in a moment of time. Steve Pettit makes the gross theological error of combining service with salvation. He is mixing discipleship with sonship! Here are some helpful accurate quotes by other preacher concerning the free grace Gospel:

"Eternal life is free. Discipleship is immeasurably hard. The former is attained by faith alone, the latter by a faith that works... the former brings with it the righteousness of God so that a man is 'justified freely by his grace' (Romans 3:24). The latter develops a personal righteousness, based on good deeds, so that a man was also 'justified by works' (James 2:24). The former constituted the believer God's workmanship, the latter fulfilled the wonderful purpose for which he had been created. The former cost man nothing, the latter could cost him everything, including life itself." Hodges, Zane C. The Hungry Inherit. Moody Press, Inc., 1972 (p. 114, 115).

"There is a vast difference between coming to Jesus for salvation and coming after Jesus for service. Coming to Christ makes one a believer, while coming after Christ makes one a disciple. All believers are not disciples. To become a believer one accepts the invitation of the Gospel, to be a disciple one obeys the challenge to a life of dedicated service and separation. Salvation comes through the sacrifice of Christ; discipleship comes only by sacrifice of self and surrender to His call for devoted service. Salvation is free, but discipleship involves paying the price of a separated walk. Salvation can't be lost because it depends upon God's faithfulness, but discipleship can be lost because it depends upon our faithfulness." DeHaan, M. R. Hebrews. Zondervan Publishing House, 1959 (p. 117).

"For the unregenerate man, repentance is the change of mind whereby he turns from unbelief to faith in the person and work of Jesus Christ." Post, Roger. "The Meanings of the Words Translated 'Repent' and 'Repentance' in the New Testament." Master's Thesis, Wheaton College, June 1972 (p. 80).

"There are those who, in their zeal to get people to turn from their sinful ways and receive the Lord, almost put repentance on a par with believing... Repentance, as it relates to Christ, means to change our minds about Him, who He is and what He's done to provide forgiveness and deliverance from our sins. When we place faith in Jesus as having taken our place personally on the cross and borne the penalty due our sins, then we're automatically repenting, because we couldn't accept Him in this way without having had to change our minds in some way concerning Him." —Hal Lindsey, 'The Liberation of Planet Earth,' Zondervan Publishing House, 1974 (p. 136, 137).

"Discipleship is frequently equated with salvation and often erroneously made a condition for becoming a Christian." —Pentecost, J. Dwight, 'Design for Discipleship'; Zondervan Publishing House, 1971 (p. 11).

"Certainly discipleship is a most important aspect of our relation to Christ, but it belongs to the sphere of Christian life rather than entrance upon that life... One does not become a disciple in order to become a Christian, but because he has become a Christian by faith in the Savior, it is fitting that he embark upon a life of discipleship." —Everett F. Harrison, 'Must Christ Be Lord To Be Savior? No!'; Eternity, September 1959 (p. 14).

"There is no more piously subtle abrogation of the Gospel than to tell a Sinner that he must not only believe in the Savior, but dedicate himself to do God's will, crown the Savior Lord of his life, etc., etc. Obviously, dedication and service are highly desirable, but they are the privilege and the duty of the saved, never a condition of salvation for the unsaved (cf. Romans 12:1-2)." —Dr. Merrill F. Unger, 'God is Waiting To Meet You';  Moody Press, 1975 (p. 117, 118).

"People are sometimes led to believe that there is saving value in some public confession of Christ, or profession of a decision. "With the heart man believeth unto righteousness." This is salvation. "With the mouth confession is made unto salvation." This is the voice of the newborn child speaking to and of its father. The only condition on which one may be saved is to believe." —Lewis Sperry Chafer, 'Salvation'; Dunham Publishing Company, 1917 (p. 46).

Lordship salvation is where someone teaches that there must be a total commitment to Christ as Lord” of one's life in order to be saved. Recently there has been a modification of this position, saying that a willingness to be controlled by the Lord at the time of salvation is all that is necessary, in addition to faith to be saved. That is a false gospel! The message of faith only, and the message of faith plus commitment of life, can't BOTH be the Gospel. One of these plans of salvation must be a counterfeit! One of them is a FALSE GOSPEL, and comes under the divine curse of perverting the Gospel...

Galatians 1:8-9, “But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you, than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that you have received, let him be accursed.”

If only committed people are saved people, then where is there room for carnal Christians? What kind of dedication must be preached to people, if in order to be saved, they have already dedicated their lives to the Lord? Where do you stop if you start adding something else to this which is the gospel revealed in the Bible? Look at what God says about adding to the revelation of Jesus Christ (gospel), For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book (Revelation 22:18). The Bible plainly declares that we are saved by faith, and not by works. Where does it say this? Ephesians 2:8-9, For by grace are ye saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God. Not of works, lest any man should boast.” What are you trusting in to get you to heaven?

Life is short, Hell is hot, and eternity is a long time! Please think about it friend. If you think Mormons, Roman Catholics, Calvinists, Seventh-Day Adventists, Church of Christ, and Jehovah's Witnesses are Christians, you need to get saved. These are eternally damned false religions. Dr. Steve Pettit's plan of salvation is anything but simple! He foolishly and heretically says: “You can't just speak about getting saved, and you accepted Christ, and then that's it!” No child of God would talk that way! What do you mean I cannot profess that I'm saved and that's it? Of course I can say that, because eternal life is a free gift (Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9). Beloved reader, this man is a religious fraud! The Harvest Baptist Church on Guam sinfully idolize this wicked false teacher! They sinfully promote him! They sinfully bid Godspeed to him! I am telling THE TRUTH, earnestly contending for the faith (Jude 1:3; Romans 3:4). Yet, Harvest won't even allow me to attend church services! To Hell with them and their cult! God will deal harshly with them, just as they have dealt harshly with me. I am telling THE TRUTH!

I am listening to the Old Testament book of 1st Kings today. The story I just heard was perfect timing for this article. A young preacher was commanded by God not to turn aside from his mission, lest he die. 1st Kings 13:18, “He said unto him, I am a prophet also as thou art; and an angel spake unto me by the word of the LORD, saying, Bring him back with thee into thine house, that he may eat bread and drink water.  But he lied unto him.” Here are some different Bible commentaries on this passage if you're curious. From this passage we learn that even if a preacher lies to us, we are still going to be held accountable by God. The road to Hell is paved with sincerity and good intentions. So what do we do? Jesus told us in John 5:39, Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.If you'll search the King James Bible, meditating therein day and night as David did (Psalms 1:1-3), then you'll never go astray! Psalms 119:140, “Thy word is very pure: therefore thy servant loveth it.

Dear friend, are you born-again? It is a one time new birth, not a lifestyle that you must live as Steve Pettit and John MacArthur falsely teach. The very moment that you believe, you are born anew by the seed of the Word of God (1st Peter 1:23), quickened (made alive) by the indwelling Holy Spirit of God (Ephesians 2:1-2; 1st John 3:24; Romans 8:9). You are a guilty sinner friend (Romans 3:19-20). Jesus is the Christ, the only begotten Son of God. He died on the cross to pay for your sins. He was buried. Three days later Jesus bodily resurrected miraculously and triumphantly by the power of God. This is the GOOD NEWS (Gospel - 1st Corinthians 15:1-4). If you will simply receive Christ's sacrifice on the cross as payment for your sins, believing that He has risen from the dead the third day, you will be instantly, irrevocably and forever saved. You have God's promise of it! John 6:47, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.

Your Greatest Mistake Will Be To Trust A Lying Preacher

1st Kings 13:1-10, “And, behold, there came a man of God out of Judah by the word of the LORD unto Bethel: and Jeroboam stood by the altar to burn incense. And he cried against the altar in the word of the LORD, and said, O altar, altar, thus saith the LORD; Behold, a child shall be born unto the house of David, Josiah by name; and upon thee shall he offer the priests of the high places that burn incense upon thee, and men's bones shall be burnt upon thee. And he gave a sign the same day, saying, This is the sign which the LORD hath spoken; Behold, the altar shall be rent, and the ashes that are upon it shall be poured out. And it came to pass, when king Jeroboam heard the saying of the man of God, which had cried against the altar in Bethel, that he put forth his hand from the altar, saying, Lay hold on him. And his hand, which he put forth against him, dried up, so that he could not pull it in again to him. The altar also was rent, and the ashes poured out from the altar, according to the sign which the man of God had given by the word of the LORD. And the king answered and said unto the man of God, Intreat now the face of the LORD thy God, and pray for me, that my hand may be restored me again. And the man of God besought the LORD, and the king's hand was restored him again, and became as it was before. And the king said unto the man of God, Come home with me, and refresh thyself, and I will give thee a reward. And the man of God said unto the king, If thou wilt give me half thine house, I will not go in with thee, neither will I eat bread nor drink water in this place: For so was it charged me by the word of the LORD, saying, Eat no bread, nor drink water, nor turn again by the same way that thou camest. So he went another way, and returned not by the way that he came to Bethel.”

The young man of God, without hesitation, rightly rejected king Jeroboam's offer for a reward and refreshments at his home. The Lord forbade the young preacher from turning aside from his mission. In the following disturbing passage, you will learn that an older preacher deliberately lied to the young man of God, claiming that God said to turn aside, which cost the young man his life when he did. ...

1st Kings 13:11-24, “Now there dwelt an old prophet in Bethel; and his sons came and told him all the works that the man of God had done that day in Bethel: the words which he had spoken unto the king, them they told also to their father. And their father said unto them, What way went he?  For his sons had seen what way the man of God went, which came from Judah. And he said unto his sons, Saddle me the ass. So they saddled him the ass: and he rode thereon, And went after the man of God, and found him sitting under an oak: and he said unto him, Art thou the man of God that camest from Judah? And he said, I am. Then he said unto him, Come home with me, and eat bread. And he said, I may not return with thee, nor go in with thee: neither will I eat bread nor drink water with thee in this place: For it was said to me by the word of the LORD, Thou shalt eat no bread nor drink water there, nor turn again to go by the way that thou camest. He said unto him, I am a prophet also as thou art; and an angel spake unto me by the word of the LORD, saying, Bring him back with thee into thine house, that he may eat bread and drink water.  But he lied unto himSo he went back with him, and did eat bread in his house, and drank water. And it came to pass, as they sat at the table, that the word of the LORD came unto the prophet that brought him back:  And he cried unto the man of God that came from Judah, saying, Thus saith the LORD, Forasmuch as thou hast disobeyed the mouth of the LORD, and hast not kept the commandment which the LORD thy God commanded thee, But camest back, and hast eaten bread and drunk water in the place, of the which the LORD did say to thee, Eat no bread, and drink no water; thy carcase shall not come unto the sepulchre of thy fathers. And it came to pass, after he had eaten bread, and after he had drunk, that he saddled for him the ass, to wit, for the prophet whom he had brought back. And when he was gone, a lion met him by the way, and slew him: and his carcase was cast in the way, and the ass stood by it, the lion also stood by the carcase.”

The Bible does not tell us why the elderly prophet intentionally lied to the young man of God. Verse 18 is the key verse in my humble opinion: “He said unto him, I am a prophet also as thou art; and an angel spake unto me by the word of the LORD, saying, Bring him back with thee into thine house, that he may eat bread and drink water.  But he lied unto him.” Here we see elements of deception. This elder prophet was a liar! He deceived the young man of God. I see three spiritual lessons here to remember:

  1. The young preacher trusted the older preacher.
  2. The older preacher falsely claimed that an angel spoke unto him.
  3. The older preacher falsely claimed to be speaking God's Word.
  4. The older preacher in fact was a false prophet.
  5. The older preacher was a bold-faced liar!

There is a very important lesson to be learned here. The young man of God didn't trust king Jeroboam, because he knew he was wicked; but he trusted another preacher who was older than him. Satan is a beautiful liar! Dear reader, all across the world today younger people are blindly trusting preachers, merely because they are pastors, older and allegedly wiser. Job 32:9, “Great men are not always wise: neither do the aged understand judgment.” Dr. Steve Pettit comes to mind (president of Bob Jones University since 2014). Thousands of students look up to him at BJU, trusting his flawed theology, while he indoctrinates them with the Devil's lie of Lordship Salvation, praising John MacArthur's demonic ministry.

By the way, here are some different Bible commentaries on this passage from 1st Kings 18:1-24The young preacher in our text passage of Scripture was a godly man. He was not a bad guy! He was very sincere. But he made the fatal mistake of trusting another preacher! God had directly told that young preacher exactly what to do. Yet, he listened to a man instead. Psalms 118:8, “It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.” Acts 5:29, “Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.Billions of human beings in this world are deceived today. They are foolishly following the teachings of some religious man! There are 1,200,000,000 Roman Catholics worldwide, who sinfully listen to the Pope ex-cathedra (i.e., as if God Himself is speaking). That is so wrong! What fools! Steve Pettit is as the Pope at Harvest Baptist Church on Guam. They idolize, follow and pattern their ministry after his reprobate teachings. Woe unto Harvest!

I encourage you dear reader to be as the Bereans in Acts 17:10-11, “And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews. These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.The Bob Jones' crowd don't SEARCH THE SCRIPTURES! They merely follow the flawed teachings of Dr. Steve Pettit and Pastor John MacArthur, taking their word for it, afraid to go against the herd mentality at BJU. I wouldn't give you a dime for the hen-pecked pastors at Harvest Baptist Church on Guam, who merely follow their Neo-evangelical masters at Bob Jones University in South Carolina.

I love you dear reader! I care! God cares! Right doctrine matters! It is not okay to preach another Gospel (Galatians 1:6-9). Read the Scriptures from cover to cover, and you won't be able to show me even one verse that teaches us to turn from your sins to be saved. The Gospel has been perverted in the corrupt modern Bible revisions! Is it nothing to you oh Christian? I am alarmed! I care enough to make a fuss and expose every false way! Psalms 119:104, “Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way.”

We Live In A Dirty World Of Liars!

Genesis 3:1, “Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made.” And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?” Proverbs 20:14, “It is naught, it is naught, saith the buyer: but when he is gone his way, then he boasteth.” Acts 15:1, “And certain men which came down from Judaea taught the brethren, and said, Except ye be circumcised after the manner of Moses, ye cannot be saved.”

In our text passages above I have given you three examples of liars in the Bible (and there are many more). The first example was the serpent, who lied to Eve. The serpent (Satan - Revelation 20:2) told Eve that God said she couldn't eat of any of the trees. But that is not what God said. In Genesis 2:16-17, “And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.The serpent told Eve the exact opposite of what God had said to Eve!

In the second example above, an unnamed buyer downplays the value of something he is bartering to buy. He knows it is actually worth much more, but he is lying to get a deal. When the seller sells the item to him at a lower price, the buyer later boasts of the great deal he got, knowing that the item is worth far more than he paid. That is dishonesty!

In the third example, a group of unsaved false teachers came down from the hilly high region of Judaea to Jerusalem teaching that unless you keep the law of Moses, and be circumcised if you're a man, you cannot be saved. I love the following passage of Scripture:

Acts 15:7-11, “And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe. And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us; And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith. Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear? But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they.

The Apostle Paul is giving the simple plan of salvation. When we hear the Gospel preached, and we BELIEVE IT, God sees our heart and saves us, sealing us with His Holy Spirit. To add anything more to the Gospel is to place an unbearable yoke upon people!

Now having said all that, let me mention a few of the liars in today's modern would that I see. One of the biggest lies I've seen are bank advertisements. They say if you open a new account they'll give you a gift. They just lied. If something is truly a gift, you could simply walk in the bank and take it with you. That is a gift! What the bank is actually advertising in a reward, because you have to open a new account to get it.

Another example of modern-day lying are software companies who advertise a “free download.” But after you go through the trouble of downloading their “free” program, and then install it on your computer, the company won't allow you to actually use the program unless you give them money. You have to buy it! The company lied. They dishonestly tricked you, thinking that after going through the hassle to download and install their  “free” program, that you would be compelled to buy their software. They knew if they were honest, telling you upfront that you'd have to pay money, there is a much higher likelihood that you never would have wanted it. So they lied to you to deceive you! God takes our words seriously (Matthew 12:36). Woe unto liars (Revelation 21:8).

One of the biggest examples of a liar are people who file for divorced. I thank God that I have never filed for divorce in my life. Hell will freeze over before I do! My former wife divorced me, but that was 100% her decision in 2006, which I made the lawyers put in writing, so she could never come back years later and blame me. She was the plaintiff; I was the defendant. I have it in writing with her signature on it, that she refused to reconcile with me. So be it! My consciousness is clear in the matter. When a person gets married, they repeat the marriage “vows.” Part of the marriage vows is: “for better, for worse, until death do us part.” When anyone files for divorce they are lying, breaking their vows to their spouse before God.

Lawyers are notorious liars. In fact, their very profession in the United States is based on lying. I won't get into it here, because I don't want to ruin your day with manure, but there's not a lower form of human being in existence than lawyers! That is why lawyers are buried 10 feet deep instead of 6 feet deep, because deep down under their really not that bad...lol. I admit that I detest lawyers! I love when the tyrannosaurus eats the lawyer in Jurassic Park! There's not a more rotten, corrupt, ungodly, insulting and shady group of people than attorneys.

That is why it is common to hear retired lawyers say things like: “I'm a recovering lawyer.” They fully know that they spent their career screwing people. Judgment day is coming (Hebrews 4:13; 9:27; Ecclesiastes 12:13-14). By the way, that includes the horrible lawyers at the Christian Law Association (CLA), who treated me like garbage when I asked for their help on two occasions. I responded to their abuse by giving them $1,000 out of the kindness of my heart. I did that because Pastor Jack Hyles taught me to take the high road, when the CLA took the low road. Shame on them! They lie at the Christian Law Association. They claim to help individual Christians with religious persecution, but when I needed their help in 2013 with my Jesus-is-Savior.com website under attack, they totally withdrew in Ohio and ignored me. God will woefully deal with them, as they have dealt with me. I say that kindly.

Another popular group of liars are the food companies. I bought a can of Bumblebee clam chowder the other day at the grocery store, because on the can's picture they show a full cup of clams in the creamy soup. But when I actually opened the can, it was watery and contained about one teaspoon of clams. They lie so that people will buy their inferior product. If they took a picture of what is actually in the can, no one would buy it. What rotten people! I'll never but their product again. We live in a world of liars, especially in the United States of America. Thieves are everywhere around us in society!

Sadly, one of the biggest group of liars today are the Bob Jones University (BJU) camp. I learned all about the apostate BJU crowd at the shameful Harvest Baptist Church on Guam. I attended the church for a year in 2014. The church preaches the Devil's lie of Lordship Salvation, bidding Godspeed to John MacArthur and Steve Pettit (president of BJU). While they deceitfully claim to believe in salvation by grace alone, they simultaneously teach that you must “turn from your sins to be saved. That is theological fraud! The pastors of Harvest are wicked and arrogant. The horrible staff are complicit to the evil. No one cares about truth there. The BJU crowd today are of the Devil. They are attacking the grace of God, but adding an unbearable yoke that neither our fathers, nor we, can bear. NO ONE can turn from their sins! All you can do is admit you are a guilty sinner and cast yourself at the foot of the cross, trusting upon the crucified and risen Lamb of God to be saved.

The former shameful pastor of Harvest Baptist Church is Marty Herron, a theological liar and deceiver, who goes around corrupting the Gospel. Marty tells people that if they want to receive God's free gift, they are first required to “repent of their sins.” These ungodly deceivers are all preaching Mormon theology! You cannot show me even one place in the Holy Bible (if you have an inspired King James Bible) that says to “repent of your sins” to be saved. Mary Herron is adding to the Gospel, placing an unbearable yoke on people. Who can turn from their sins? I sure can't. And neither can you. I have news for you, Mr. Herron still sins!

The very idea that a person must “turn from your sins” to be saved is wacky. What does it even mean to turn from your sins? I heard Pastor Herron with my own two ears, while listening to him give a sermonette on Guam in 2014. In the invitation at the end, on a Sunday morning, he sinfully said: “It's not enough to admit that you're a sinner, you must also turn away from a lifestyle of sin!” Kindly said, Marty Herron needs to get saved. Sadly, he has the blood of hundreds of church members on his hands as well.

Dr. Steve Pettit is another theological liar. It is tragic that 2,700 students at BJU are being subject to the heresy of infidels. Dr. Bob Jones Sr. (1883-1968) said publicly in 1944, that if he could, he'd come back from Heaven 50 years later and blow his college to smithereens, if infidels ever stepped foot behind the college pulpit! Amen and amen! You won't find a worse infidel than Steve Pettit. BJU ought to fire him! They need a man of God in their at the helm like Dr. Jack Hyles, someone who preaches a free grace Gospel, not the Satanic Lordship Salvation garbage of Dr. John MacArthur! Brother, I cannot wait until the Lord Jesus Christ returns and cleans house, and He's going to begin at cesspools of iniquity like Bob Jones University! That is where I'd start. These wicked people claim to be doing God service, while perverting grace, corrupting the Word of God, and bidding Godspeed to false prophets!
