Biblical Proof That Dr. Steve Pettit Is Full Of Crap

Luke 10:20, “Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.”

Respectfully said toward Dr. Pettit (I mean no unkindness, truly), he preaches another gospel. Who is Steve Pettit? Mr. Pettit has been the president of Bob Jones University since 2014. I am writing this blog article because BJU has a tremendous impact upon thousands of churches today, particularly independent Baptist churches, through their thousands of graduates. Right doctrine matters folks! Galatians 1:6-7 warns that there is NOT another Gospel. Galatians 1:6-7, “I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.” Sadly, today's Bible colleges and churches are filled with heretics who pervert the Gospel, damning people's souls to Hell.

Read for yourself what Steve Pettit heretically preached on January 26, 2015 at BJU chapel to 2,700 students and faculty:

“You can't just speak about getting saved, and you accepted Christ, and then that's it! There is a justification; There is a sanctification; There's ultimately a glorification, and though there are three parts, they are all part of the whole, and you cannot separate them. In order for you to qualify for the award, you have to get into the race, you have to stay in the race, and you have to finish the race. If you want to win, you have to run to the end; and winning in the Christian life is everything, because if you lose—if you don't finish—you lose everything—you lose your SOUL. And so, the Christian race is the life of faith that begins, is run, and is finished when we cross over into Heaven!” —Dr. Steve Pettit (“What Does It Mean To Run 'The Race'?” - 11:34)

The “award” that Dr. Pettit teaches you must work hard to earn he says is “Heaven itself”:

“We run the race, we cross the finish line, and so what’s the prize? What is the award? Well, there are different viewpoints. Some would have the viewpoint that the awards are crowns in Heaven. But as I read the book of Hebrews and see the whole gist of the book and the flow of the book, I don’t believe its referring to crowns in Heaven. I think it is referring to Heaven itself.” [emphasis added] —Dr. Steve Pettit (“What Does It Mean To Run 'The Race'?” - 22:57)

Dear friend, eternal life is not an “award,” it is the “free gift” of God by grace alone (Romans 5:15-18, 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9). A gift is a take proposition, not a give proposition. You simply take it by faith. Luke 10:20 teaches us as believers to rejoice that our names are written in Heaven. That means KNOWING 100% that we are saved certain. But according to Dr. Pettit's rotten perverse teachings, you cannot KNOW that you are saved yet, not until life is over, and you have faithfully run the race to the finish line. How else could we KNOW that we are saved, since we cannot say someone has “faithfully run the race” until they actually cross the finish line?

Oh reader, do you see how dangerous and unbiblical Steve Pettit's teachings on salvation are? God knows that I have nothing personal against Mr. Pettit. I met him on Guam in 2014 when he preached at Harvest Baptist Church. Sadly, Pastor Marty Herron is as corrupt and perverse in his theology as Steve Pettit, and neither of these men ought to be allowed to speak behind any pulpit. I speak on the authority of God's Word from the inspired King James Bible:

Titus 1:10-13, “For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision: Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre's sake. One of themselves, even a prophet of their own, said, The Cretians are alway liars, evil beasts, slow bellies. This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith;”

Sean Quinlan (former pastor of Lighthouse Baptist Church on Guam) once scolded me, saying: “You're not an apostle.” What an ignorant and foolish thing to say. Dear reader, neither was Titus an apostle, but Paul instructed him to REBUKE THEM SHARPLY who pervert the Gospel. I am and will continue to sharply rebuke the Bob Jones University camp until they repent and stop teaching Lordship Salvation, and promoting the Devil's corruptible seed. ...

It Matters Which Bible You Use - God Only Authored One Book!

Kindly said, Steve Pettit was inspired by demons when he preached that awful heretical sermon, which he has never recanted. In case you don't know, Pettit is buddies with the biggest heretic of our generation, Dr. John F. MacArthur in California. MacArthur is an alumni of BJU, which has consequently crept more tares into the college over the decades. Dr. Bob Jones Sr. (1883-1968) would have run these infidels out of the college!!! Would to God BJU still had some biblical sense today and would fire Steve Pettit and renounce his false teachings. I say that with love, but on the authority of the Word of God.

The fact that Jesus commanded every believer to rejoice that their name is written in Heaven, is biblical proof that Steve Pettit is full of crap! You CAN in fact accept Jesus as your personal Savior, by believing the GOOD NEWS (Gospel) of His death, burial and resurrection (1st Corinthians 15:1-4), and KNOW that you are immediately, irrevocably and permanently forever saved (John 6:47). Who are you going to believe, Steve Pettit or the King James Bible?

You're Either Redeemed By The Blood Or You're Toast

John 3:35-36, “The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand. He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.” James 2:10, “For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.”

I want to share a very important truth with you that burns my heart often, which is that the ONLY righteousness we have is GOD'S IMPUTED RIGHTEOUSNESS. We hear much heresy taught in the churches today about turning from sins to be saved. For example: Bob Jones University teaches their 2,600 students that you must “repent and turn away from your sin” to receive God's free gift of eternal life. This is a perversion of God's grace and a false gospel. BJU sends out graduates to work in thousands of churches. Consequently, here is a classic example of how just one corrupt Bible college can contaminate thousands of churches. I detest Bible colleges these days. 

I mentioned BJU as an introduction, to show that they are woefully ignorant of the Bible. Go figure, a Bible college ignorant of the BIBLE! I am so sick and tired of hearing heretics add to the Gospel. They say you cannot be saved unless you first “turn away from a lifestyle of sin.” I heard Pastor Marty Herron say those exact words at Harvest Baptist Church of Guam in 2014. It was a Sunday morning. Hundreds of people were present in church that day. I went home and literally cried after hearing that, asking God if I should go back or not. I decided to go back and befriend them with THE TRUTH. Perhaps they just didn't know any better. Perhaps Pastor Herron had never been told THE TRUTH. Well, Pastor Herron and his ungodly associate pastors, and some of the snobby rich people in the church, axed me like a turkey on Thanksgiving Day! Harvest Baptist Church in 2021 is still a cesspool of iniquity, a den of vipers, a nest of Bible-corrupters, full of doctrines of devils and a prisonhouse of religion!!!

I had hoped that Pastor Marty Herron would reflect upon the truths I had shared with him in 2014. In 2018, Herron resigned as senior pastor at HBC to go work as executive vice president of Faith Baptist Bible College And Theological Seminary in Ankeny, Iowa. In 2019 he was invited to preach at the Colonial Hills Baptist Church in Indianapolis, Indiana. Sadly, Marty still preaches the same damnable LIE that you must repent OF YOUR SIN to be saved. That is not the Gospel dear friend. I am not picking on Marty Herron, I am exposing a false prophet! Somebody needs to warn people about false teachers! Everyone has a right to their own opinion, but no one has a right to their own facts. The Gospel is a fact, not an opinion. You cannot show me even one Bible verse that teaches to turn away from committing sin to be saved. That is a fact! What Mr. Herron is preaching is his opinion, not what the Bible says. Let God be true but every man a liar (Romans 3:4).

Pastor Dennis Rokser of the Duluth Bible Church in Minnesota, preached this excellent sermon proclaiming what the Gospel is, and what the Gospel is not:

What The Gospel Is, And What The Gospel Is Not

Dear friend, this is the great truth I want you to take away: You are either washed in the blood of Jesus, or you are just as condemned as the vilest dinner in the world! James 2:10 warns that to violate even the least commandment of God makes us guilty of violating them all. Why? It is because committing even one sin makes us GUILTY. God is 100% perfect. God is 100% righteousness. God is 100% holy. No sinner can enter into Heaven. Dear friend, you don't have to turn away from living a sinful lifestyle to be saved, you MUST be absolutely perfect in every way. Unless you are perfect you cannot go to Heaven!

That is why Jesus told His disciples that salvation is IMPOSSIBLE with men:

Matthew 19:24-26, “And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved? But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.”

Salvation is of the Lord (Jonah 2:9). John 1:12-13, “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” Either God does the saving, all of it, or you are not saved. Salvation is not doing your best, it is having Christ's best put to your account through receiving Him by faith. God will not save anyone who is trying to be saved, He will only save those who are trusting to be saved.

Dear friend, you are either washed in the blood of the Lamb, and you unworthily possess God's imputed righteousness which is by faith alone in Jesus Christ (Romans 4:1-6); or else you are still wallowing and perishing in your own sin and self-righteousness, trying to turn away from your sin to qualify as being worthy to receive God's free gift of forgiveness and eternal life (Matthew 7:21-23). I have no goodness to offer God. I have no righteousness to offer God. Isaiah 64:6, “But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.” The only thing you contribute to your own salvation friend, is the sin that made it necessary. Jonathan Edwards (1703-1758) said that and he is 100% right!

Which is it friend? Have you been washed in the blood as a guilty sinner, wholly leaning on Jesus name? Or are you among those in Matthew 7:21-23, who are going about to establish your own righteousness by looking within yourselves to turn away from sinful lusts and desires to qualify for God's grace? If you think I am exaggerating, please read what Dr. Steve Pettit (president of Bob Jones University since 2014) heretically teaches their faculty and students. Mr. Pettit errantly teaches that you must “qualify” to receive the “award” of “Heaven itself” (those are all his own words). Pettit is wrong on all counts! Salvation is not an award, it is a free gift (Romans 5:15-18; 6:23). You cannot qualify to obtain Heaven, you must humbly receive it as a guilty sinner (Romans 3:19-20), wholly unworthy of God's grace. Mr. Pettit is not a born-again child of God, he is an infidel in the pulpit at BJU, who needs to be fired.

Faith is the only righteous thing I can do! This is a serious matter. Right doctrine matters! You're either redeemed by the precious blood of Jesus, or you're toast friend. Life is short, Hell is hot and eternity is a long time! Dear friend, any plan of salvation that does not offer you immediate, irrevocable and permanent assurance of eternal life is a false gospel. Any theology that does not give you the absolute assurance of salvation is WRONG! God does not give temporal or probationary life, He only gives eternal life. John 6:47, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.”

Thought Control Is As Important As Prayer

Philippians 4:6-8, “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”

This is a remarkable truth that I apply to my live daily. An important thing I learned years ago while studying the Bible is to always consider an entire passage, and not just lift a single verse out of the passage, which can easily be taken out of context. Nearly every false teacher who wrests (tortures) the Bible to support their heresy, lifts a small text out of the context, creating a new pretext. 

A classic example of this is Matthew 24:13, “But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.” Sadly, even one of my heroes of the Christian faith, Pastor Harry Ironside (1876-1951) gets this passage horrible wrong, applying it to salvation. By simply reading the entire passage we find the correct interpretation of verse 13. Matthew 24:22, “And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.” We plainly see that the subject is the saving of THE FLESH, and not ETERNAL LIFE. Those believers who survive until the end of the Tribulation period will be saved from physical death, and will enter into the 1,000 year Millennium, when Jesus Himself will reign as majestic King over the whole earth from the then restored city of Jerusalem. 

I want to teach you a beautiful and practical truth from Philippians 4:6-8. Nearly everyone separates verses 6 and 7 from verse 8, but they are all connected. Verse 6 tells us not to worry about anything, but instead to pray about everything. Verse 7 promises that if we commit our problems, needs and requests to the Lord, then we can claim the peace of God which passeth all understanding. Oftentimes we will not be able to understand why things are happening in our life. Why do we suffer when we are working so hard to please God? Why do our loved one's suddenly die, when we are serving Christ faithfully? We see wicked people enjoying their grandchildren, while godly saints bury their children as a consequence of being struck and murdered by an irresponsible drunk driver. Why do the saints sometimes suffer, when the wicked prosper? Bad things happen to everyone, both wicked and righteous alike. Ecclesiastes 9:11 teaches that time and chance happeneth to all.

One of the great truths I have learned in my Christian life is to stop worrying, and start praying. A person cannot worry and pray in faith to God at the same time. I am sick and tired of carnal people claiming that pray is a great therapy for depressed people, and is spiritually uplifting, and is beneficial to calm the mind, et cetera. No, prayer is asking God for something! Prayer is only powerful because there is a real God in Heaven Who is listening, and is omnipotent (all powerful), omnibenevolent (all loving), omnisapient (all wise), omniscient (all knowing), and omnipresent (all present). I would NEVER pray as a means of meditation, mental therapy or anything else other than communicating with my CREATOR. The heathen religious world has diminished prayer into a mere form of godliness without the power thereof (2nd Timothy 3:1-5).

I often think about this wonderful Bible passage, especially when I start to worry. If we pray about everything, then we can trust God and stop worrying. If things get worse, then we can rest in the perfect peace of soul knowing that we have cast our cares about the Lord as He commanded (1st Peter 5:7).

I receive thousands of emails each year. I cannot even begin to count how many people contact me because they are down, depressed, frustrated, tired, disillusioned and disgusted with life. One 62 year old Christian lady said she sometimes wishes that a stray bullet would come through her front window and end her life. Numerous people have said they have contemplated taking their own life. Many people are struggling with failing marriages, family problems and turmoil in their relationships. They write to me, some just to vent, others hoping I'll have a magic solution to fix all their problems. 

The one thing in common that these hurting people all share is that they don't go to church. The church is not a museum for spiritual relics, it is a hospital for sinners. I have heard some Baptist preachers criticize that idea of the church being a hospital for sinners, but they are wrong. All humans are dirty sinners. There are redeemed sinners and unsaved sinners, but we are all still dirty sinners. A believer is under God's grace, but the unbeliever is still under the curse and power of the law of God. But even the saint of God still commits sin. This whole insane idea today that if you are really saved, you have turned away from your sins, is demonic heresy. No one has ever turned away from their sins. You may try, but that is as far as you'll ever get, merely trying. That is why Jesus has to do the saving from sin, all of it!!!

Everyone needs a church family. The purpose of going to church is to receive comfort and encouragement from one another, and to organize to go soulwinning in the community. The purpose of the New Testament church is to:

• EXALT the SAVIOR
• EVANGELIZE the SINNER
• EDIFY the SAINT

The purpose of attending church is not to worship God. We are supposed to worship God all the time. We don't go to church to sing, we are supposed to do that all the time, or pray in our afflictions the Bible says (James 5:13).

Another thing these people all have in common, who write to me about their miserable lives, is that they are focusing on the wrong things in their life. THINK ON THESE THINGS the Bible commands in Philippians 4:8. What things? ...

Philippians 4:8, “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” 

You've often heard the expression: You are what you eat. Well, the same is true mentally. You are what you think. What saith the Scripture? Proverbs 23:7, “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.” Whatever you allow to enter into your life becomes a part of you. This is why we read in Proverbs 4:23, “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.” That is my favorite Bible verse. 

Dear friend, please be careful who you choose as friends. Be careful who you get into a car with. I am a fan of biographies of celebrities. I have an interest in the lives of the stars. I like to see where the heathen lifestyle they have chosen leads them. Ozzy Osbourne was bigger than life as a rock star when I was growing up in the 1970's and 1980's. He was the lead singer for a few years of the band, Black Sabbath. Ozzy has such a distinct singing voice. Ozzy has called himself: “The Prince Of Darkness.” In 1982 Ozzy's gifted guitar player, Randy Rhoads (1956-1982), made the fatal mistake of getting into the airplane of a cocaine addict, which cost him and everyone onboard their life. Rhoads was seen physically struggling with the insane plane pilot as he crashed the small plane into Ozzy's tour bus and adjacent home. 

Randy Rhoads died because he trusted someone whom he never should have trusted. You can never trust a substance abuser! I have declined free car rides from people, simply because I didn't know who they were. I don't trust anyone's driving except mine, with rare exceptions. Millions of people have ended up serving prison time (even life), for crimes they didn't commit, but they got into the car of someone who did commit a crime, making them an accomplice. So be careful who and what you let enter into your life, home, marriage, car, church, et cetera. 

All across America Baptist churches are being destroyed from within, because they innocently allowed a false teacher like Marty Herron, Steve Pettit, Sam Horn, John MacArthur or Kevin Bauder into their midst, who brought in the Devil's damnable heresy of Lordship Salvation. I love you dear friend, and I don't want you to burn in Hell forever. Lordship Salvation is a counterfeit gospel which cannot produce the new birth in Christ Jesus. Be careful what you let the cat (pastor) drag into your church, because it might infect your whole congregation. The Marty Herrons, John MacArthurs and Charles Phelps's of this world need to be run out of town, lest they corrupt your church too! BEWARE of Bob Jones University (BJU) today, which has gone total hardcore Lordship Salvation over the past decades. I digress.

Philippians 4:8 teaches us as believers to THINK ON THESE THINGS. What things? Things that are honest, pure, of good report, true, lovely, virtuous and bring praise to God. The reason why so many people are miserable is because they choose to focus on all the negative things in life. They watch the negative daily news. They listen to negative family and friends. They read gossiping magazines and critical websites. The media makes a living killing people's reputations, accusing others, destroying families. There ought to be laws prohibiting the media from profiting off ruining other people's lives. 

So much of what we hear from NBC, FOX, CNN and the entire mainstream newsmedia is FAKE NEWS! The Republicans are just as guilty as the Democrats, but not nearly as demented as the liberal left today. America is a house divided, which is destroying our nation. Republicans and Democrats are merely two separate legs both walking in the same direction of a New World Order. All across the United States carnal Christians support FOX news, while these wicked people fully endorse Caitlyn Jenner who is now running for governor of California. Bruce Jenner is a wicked sick-minded 71 year old man, who is not in his right mind. Brice Jenner is NOT a female, despite his desire to appear as one in public. Sadly, Jenner will likely win as governor of California, simply because of the rigged election process—the same one which removed Donald Trump and installed Joe Biden (a gigantic evil monstrosity). Shame on FOX news for not rebuking this sick filth and insanity!!! The country is not going to hell, it went to hell a long time ago, and is assuredly going to HELL!

I challenge you dear Christian, to take your mind off of this perverse and dark world. Colossians 3:1-3, “If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.” When people email me about their horrible lives, lack of desire to live anymore, and thoughts of ending it all, I KNOW that their mind is dwelling on everything negative. The Bible says you are what you think in Proverbs 23:7. That is why every believer should listen to the King James Bible every day. That is why we all need to get involved in a local Bible-believing church. There's nothing that will bless your life and boost your spirit than attending a soulwinning, people-loving, sin-hating, Jesus-loving, fundamentalist Baptist church!!!

What do you think about friend? Hebrews 12:2 tells us to LOOK TO JESUS, the Author and Finisher of our faith. God always finished what He starts. Our heavenly Father is not an absent parent. Hebrews 13:8 declares that Jesus is THE SAME yesterday, today and forever. Malachi 3:6 says that God NEVER changes. In theology this is called the immutability of God. It is impossible for God's nature to change. Our good, holy and perfect God is immutable!

If you are down in the dumps dear saint, I encourage you to get a hobby. There are thousands of wonderful hobbies, activities and things we can do to enjoy God's great creation. I love being in nature. I love musical instruments. I love watching animals, birds and all that God made. I love the stars, moon and sun. I enjoy God. If you watch TV al day, you are going to be warped and filled with all the negativity, perversion and fears of this ungodly insane world. We must all learn to make the best of what we DON'T have in life. 

Most of us have an abundance of blessings to praise God for, yet we all tend to focus on the shortcomings in our life, and what we don't have, and the people who hurt us instead of all the sweet and good people. I am guilty too, so I am not condemning anybody. But I have learned, at age 54, to let go and let God. I don't have much time left on earth. I don't intend on spending the remainder of my life fretting, worrying, becoming angry and bitter, hating, or letting this insane world get me down, confused and off course as a child of God.

Dear reader, THINK ON THESE THINGS. If your life is a pile of garbage, your thinking is all wrong. Once you get to the bottom of life, it is extremely hard to break free of the dark world you have allowed yourself to enter into. Where do you start? You get involved in a Bible-believing church. I don't mean some dead church that doesn't love people, like the ungodly Harvest Baptist Church on Guam (which literally has banned me from attending church there since 2014, because I befriended them with the truth that Lordship Salvation is a false gospel). They are a cult, not a Bible church. I don't mean a garbage hole like that! I mean a genuine people-loving, soulwinning, Christ-honoring, King James Bible only, free grace Gospel preaching, New Testament church!!! Amen and amen! Your life will grow from there.

Start listening to Bible preaching every day. If you have negative friends and family, all the more you need to make new friends at church. Invite your family. I get many emails from people who have failing marriages, wanting some miracle cure from me, but there is none. Husbands write to me and tell me how horrible their wives are, but those men refuse to go to church, and their wife is a mess spiritually, so she is not a good wife. Happy successful marriages don't just happen, you need to work at all. We all need guidance.

I get so frustrated giving biblical advice to people, because less than 5% listen to me. They just keep emailing, month after month, moaning about all their problems. I have had to start ignoring some people, writing back once a week, because they become pests. I am not being unkind, but I am not here for people to vent when they have issues. My ministry is to help people, not coddle and babysit them in their rebellion. People are so stubborn, set in their wrong ways. 

It's the same with weight loss. People will buy every pill, powder, gimmick and alleged shortcut available, but they never lose weight. The answer is and has always been to start eating properly, and the body will adjust to its proper weight over time. It may take a couple years if you are greatly obese, but you cannot remain obese eating beans, salads and fish. It's all the other junk food that people add (processed foods, dairy, sugar and fattening oils) that cause them to explode in weight. Likewise, if you're sad, miserable and unhappy, something needs to change in your thinking.

I have had countless men write to me to complain about their wife. I have been single and alone for 15 years. I tell those men that I would give anything to be married, and have the problems they think are so bad. Married couples often take each other for granted. You need to take a step back, look at the big picture, and count your blessings. My life is far from perfect. I am not happy every day. But I decide to focus on Jesus, the Author and Finisher of my faith. I always rejoice that my name is written in Heaven, and that never changes. God's promises as recorded in His inspired Word never change. The Holy Bible is a shining lamp unto our feet (Psalm 119:105). What we think about is just as important as going to the Lord in prayer, because if you think negative you won't be praying for long. Jesus said we would have TRIBULATION in this ugly world, but He said to BE OF GOOD CHEER, knowing that He is risen (John 16:33). What a wonderful Savior!!!

A True Witness Delivereth Souls

Proverbs 14:25, “A true witness delivereth souls: but a deceitful witness speaketh lies.” Daniel 12:3, “And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.” 1st Corinthians 9:16, “For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!”

The dearest thing to the heart of God is soulwinning. Soulwinning is simply sharing with someone how you were saved, and trying to lead them to the Lord. Proverbs 11:30, “The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.” It is so easy to glance over Scripture and miss the golden nuggets of truth therein. God has used this humble writer since 2002 to witness the Gospel to millions of people with the truth. I am just the clay and God is the Potter. There is only one true and living God, Who has revealed Himself to the world in the beautiful man Jesus Christ (1st Timothy 3:16).

Humbly, I prayed as a young man earnestly for God to use me in some capacity. I worked my way through Hyles-Anderson College (1985-1993) by working as a truck mechanic. My soul was starving in hunger for God's presence. My life was surrounded with Bible preaching, which God used to shape my caring heart as a fundamentalist Bible preacher. My heart literally ached to be used of God. I used to pray in my car after work, with the heater going in five below zero temperatures, in the wee hour of the morning after midnight, begging God to use a sinner like me. I cried as I listened to Pan Pipes cassettes by Ralph Carmichael. I did that hundreds of times throughout my Bible college years. I believe my website ministry is the answer to that prayer. I give God ALL the credit and praise. Thousands of people have come to Jesus Christ as personal Savior through this needful ministry. All of my ministry websites belong to the Lord. They are God's websites, not mine. The moment you and I got saved friend, we and everything that we own became God's (1st Corinthians 6:20). As a believer our life is hidden in Jesus Christ (Colossians 3:1-3). That is why Jesus said in Matthew 25:40 and 45 that whatever someone does (or doesn't do) to a believer, is equally as if done unto the Savior Himself. We are one with Christ (Galatians 3:26-29). Literally, Jesus says: “We're in this thing together!” 2nd Timothy 2:12, “If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:” (see also Revelation 20:6). What an awesome Savior!!!!!!!

The Bible says that a TRUE WITNESS delivereth souls. Delivers from what? From sin and Hell. I am listening to Alexander Scourby read the book of Proverbs today. Proverbs 26:8, “As he that bindeth a stone in a sling, so is he that giveth honour to a fool.” Colossians 1:13, “Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:” A man can only be delivered (rescued) with the Gospel. A true witness preaches a free grace Gospel, unadulterated with false theology. Sadly, the Devil has crept many false teachings into the churches today.

One of the biggest and most damning of these heresies is the lie that a person must repent “OF YOUR SINS” to receive God's free gift of eternal life. That phrase “OF YOUR SINS” is nowhere found in the King James Bible. Some of the Devil's corrupt Bible revisions have added these words, but the original Greek meaning of “repent” (metanoia) concerning salvation simply means “a change of mind.” Acts 20:21b speaks of “repentance toward God.” 2nd Timothy 2:25b speaks of repentance to the “repentance to the acknowledging of THE TRUTH...” There is no mention of forsaking a sinful lifestyle.

Proverbs 22:11, “He that loveth pureness of heart, for the grace of his lips the king shall be his friend.” Matthew 5:8, “Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.” Dear friend, I cannot emphasis enough the importance of having a pure heart. Being pure of heart simply means that you are real, sincere, care and want THE TRUTH. John 3:20-21, “For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.” Carefully notice that the opposite of running away from God (because of sin) is NOT turning from one's sins. 

Please don't miss that. Thousands of corrupt preachers today are going around falsely saying that you must “turn away from your sin” to be saved, but that is not what the Bible says. We read in John 3:21 that the man who “DOETH TRUTH” cometh to the light. That is so precious and beautiful. Dear friend, you get saved by acknowledging THE TRUTH that you are a guilty sinner (Romans 3:19), believing THE TRUTH of the Gospel of Jesus Christ crucified on the cross, buried and risen the third day (1st Corinthians 15:1-6). Amen and amen!

Kindly said, when Evangelist Ray Comfort preaches Lordship Salvation, he never leads anyone to the Lord. How can he without the Gospel of free grace? Ray says you must live a lifestyle of turning away from sinful behavior to get to Heaven. Sadly, Dr. Steve Pettit (president of Bob Jones University since 2014) preaches the same damnable heresy!

Only a TRUE WITNESS can win a lost soul to Christ, because only the Gospel has the power to save. Proverbs 14:25, “A true witness delivereth souls: but a deceitful witness speaketh lies.” Oh how we need truth-telling preachers today!!! Proverbs 8:7a, “For my mouth shall speak truth.” Proverbs 16:19, “Better it is to be of an humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud.” I am nothing more than a clump of dirt that God loves and redeemed by the precious gift of His only begotten Son (John 3:16).

Romans 2 Refutes The Lie Of Lordship Salvation

Romans 2:1, “Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.”

I was listening to Alexander Scourby read the book of Romans today and this passage struck me. What a great verse to refute the heresy of Lordship Salvation (LS). What is LS? Lordship Salvation is the false teaching that faith in Jesus Christ is not enough to be saved, more is required. LS says you must surrender to Jesus as absolute “Lord” of your life, which means turning away from a lifestyle of sinning, and giving your heart to Jesus.

Lordship Salvation is rooted in the heresy of Calvinism. John Calvin (1509-1964) was a high profile false preacher, who advocated the theological heresy that you cannot merely put your faith in Jesus Christ to be saved. Expressed in simplest terms, John Calvin believed that God chooses (theologically called unconditional election) who gets saved or goes to Hell. If God chooses you, He forces you to get saved (irresistible grace). Calvin believed that Jesus only died for these select few who have been chosen (limited atonement). Calvin taught that the chosen (i.e., the elect) will persevere in holy lives (perseverance of the saints).

Pastor John MacArthur is a devout 5-point Calvinist. Dr. MacArthur is one of the most popular preachers in the world, and a heretical false teacher who denies that Jesus had God's blood flowing in His veins, denies that children can be saved, denies salvation by faith alone, and denies that Jesus' blood is applied to the heavenly Mercy Seat. Sadly, Dr. Steve Pettit (president of Bob Jones University since 2014) is a personal friend and hardcore supporter of John MacArthur, sinfully bidding him Godspeed. BJU teaches Calvinism to their students. So we see that Lordship Salvation is rooted in Calvinism.

I wanted to share that basic information with you, so you'll understand what's going on. The Bible colleges influence thousands of churches. Most people don't see the threat of Bible colleges today. Water flows downhill. If BJU teaches their 2,600 students Lordship

Paul was rebuking the Jews for trying to keep the law to merit salvation. Paul points out to them that they are requiring other men to do something that they cannot even do, KEEP THE LAW. Paul several verses later reinforces his preaching, saying:

Romans 2:21-23, “Thou therefore which teachest another, teachest thou not thyself? thou that preachest a man should not steal, dost thou steal? Thou that sayest a man should not commit adultery, dost thou commit adultery? thou that abhorrest idols, dost thou commit sacrilege? Thou that makest thy boast of the law, through breaking the law dishonourest thou God?”

Advocates of Lordship Salvation require others to "turn away from sin" (i.e., not steal, not commit adultery, not get drunk, et cetera) as a necessary part of getting saved; yet they all still commit sin. Lordship Salvation is an utter contradiction. It is utter hypocrisy. The same Jews who boasted of keeping the law, broke the law of God, and in so doing dishonored God. In Romans chapter 3 Paul shifts gears and concludes (based on his evidence in chapter 2) that all have sinned and no one can be justified by the works of the law. Romans 3:28, “Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.”

The Corrupt First Baptist Church Of El Paso, Texas

Galatians 1:6-9, “I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.”

I have been considering what city I would like to relocate from Guam to in the United States. I am considering El Paso, Texas. I was searching for a good Bible-believing Baptist church to attend. The First Baptist Church of El Paso caught my attention, but sadly they preach another gospel that is totally perverted...

SALVATION

Salvation is God's free gift to us, but we must accept it. We can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God's offer of forgiveness can anyone be saved from sin's penalty. When we turn from our self-ruled life and turn to Jesus in faith we are saved. Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into his life by faith. [emphasis added]

Do you see the woeful contradiction? In one statement they say that you cannot be saved by works, but then they follow two sentences later by saying that without works you cannot be saved! That is theologically crazy! Clearly they are ADDING works to faith, corrupting the simplicity that is in Christ (2nd Corinthians 11:3-4). 

Dear reader, where does the Holy Bible teach that a person must “TURN FROM OUR SELF-WILLED LIFE” to receive God's free gift of eternal life? You'll never find any such garbage in the inspired King James Bible. In fact, you DON'T have to turn away from your self-willed life to be saved. Eternal life is a free gift from God (Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9). If you were required to turn away from ruling your own life, then salvation would be a REWARD, not a GIFT. Shame on the First Baptist Church of El Paso for perverting the Gospel.

Here is “the Gospel” as defined in the Word of God:

1st Corinthians 15:1-4, “Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:”

Huh, there's no mention of turning away from your self-ruled life. The First Baptist Church of El Paso are guilty of preaching the Devil's lie of Lordship Salvation. We find this foolish group in Matthew 7:21-23, who followed Jesus calling Him “Lord, Lord,” but Jesus said He never knew them!!! Please don't follow the pastors and congregation of the First Baptist Church of El Paso into the Lake of Fire. The way to be saved is by faith alone in the finished redemptive work of Jesus Christ. Acts 16:30-31, “And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.”

Truth Resistance Is As Deadly As Insulin Resistance

Revelation 3:1-2, “And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead. Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God.” Jude 1:3, “Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.”

Insulin resistance kills three times more Americans than cancer does! What is insulin? What is insulin resistance? Insulin is a hormone produced by the pancreas that regulates blood sugar (glucose). Eating carbohydrates (rice, bread, pasta potatoes) all gets converted in the body to glucose. Plus the sugar you eat gets turned into glucose. Fructose is sugar from fruit. Sucrose is sugar from sugar cane. Too much sugar is toxic for your body!

Americans as a whole eat a horrible diet. Only 5% of Americans eat the required amount of fiber each day. The average American eats 20 times more red meat than they should. Meat is high in protein but contains ZERO fiber. Beans are much better, having both protein and fiber! Consequently, 40% of Americans are obese. Here is some information explaining insulin and insulin resistance:

Insulin is a hormone that plays a big role in metabolism, which is all about how our body converts digested food into energy.

Let’s start from the beginning:

Our digestive track breaks down the carbohydrates we eat into glucose as well as other simple sugars. Our bloodstream then delivers glucose across the body,  for our cells to use as energy.

That’s where insulin comes in.

It’s a hormone produced by our pancreas, to help blood glucose enter into the cells. You can think of it as the key that opens the cell’s door, allowing blood glucose to enter.

‘Insulin resistance’ simply means that the cells of our body have slowly stopped responding to insulin – it can no longer open the door.

Although cells have other ways of taking up glucose, this definitely causes an imbalance in our blood glucose levels, and even impairs the functions of cells. 

The condition of ‘insulin resistance’ is known as type-II diabetes mellitus. This is different from type-I diabetes mellitus, where the body cannot make insulin in the first place, making it necessary for the patient to inject insulin into their blood.

Likewise, churches today are obese with money, comfort and luxury. The New Testament church didn't have heating and air conditioning. As far as we know they didn't even have a building. How does that compare to churches today with their padded pews, stained-glass windows, lush carpeting, annual trips to the Holy Land, exorbitant salaries for pastors (2 to 3 times what the average U.S. worker gets paid annually), et cetera? These spiritually obese churches have become truth resistant, just as an insulin resistant sick person.

Insulin Resistance (Diabetes) Causes All Sorts Of Health Problems

Once a person's body has become resistant to insulin, meaning that the muscles no longer burn sugar as energy, really bad things start to happen. Blood sugar levels spike. Blood pressure spikes. Nerves start to die in the feet, toes and extremities of the body. You can go blind, have a stroke, have kidney failure, and a bunch of other awful things. The cure is simply to lose weight, eat heathy, exercise and take control of your health. Insulin resistance is also known as diabetes, commonly known as: “The Silent Killer” (because many people don't even know they have it until too late). Diabetes is also called: “The Sitting Disease,” because America's sedentary lifestyle is the major cause of insulin resistance, and bad diet.

The same horrible thing has happened to the churches today. Churches have become truth resistant. Pastors and congregations no longer respond to the Holy Spirit, failing to absorb truth; just like muscles which no longer respond to insulin, failing to absorb glucose (body sugar). As a consequence of not being able to absorb truth, because pastor's hearts are not right with God today, all sorts of really bad things are happening in the churches. 

This is why the deadly disease of Lordship Salvation is so prevalent in churches nowadays (in the absence of truth), which is a perversion of God's grace. Some people mockingly refer to the simplicity that is in Christ (the free grace Gospel) as “cheap grace,” but friend, grace does not come cheap, it cost Jesus His life. God's grace is free to you and me, but it cost God His only begotten Son (John 3:16), and it cost Jesus His very life (2nd Corinthians 5:21), so we could be free and escape eternity burning in the Lake of Fire (Romans 5:9). 

It is resistance to THE TRUTH why so many churches today have been infected with literally  hundreds of corrupt English Bible revisions, which attack the deity of Jesus, pervert the meaning of repentance, change of plan of salvation, remove the Godhead (Trinity), eliminate complete passages of Scripture, and diminish the preeminence of Christ. Truth resistance is deadly, and your church has probably already been diseased by this Silent Killer!!!

Since I am a Baptist, I see the apostate condition in most Baptist churches today, and it grieves me. Baptist churches everywhere are dying. Revelation 3:1-2, “And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead. Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God.” The Lord exhorted the church at Sardis to strengthen the things that were READY TO DIE. This Scripture passage is so applicable today in America. Once a church is so far gone that they preach another gospel of misunderstood repentance (aka, “turn away from your sin” to be saved), they are now a religious cult, not a church. It is corrupt theological institutions; such as, Bob Jones University and Moody Bible Institute, that are promoting a counterfeit plan of salvation through thousands of their corrupt graduates.

When a hardened person, like the Bob Jones camp today, become truth resistance, all kinds of spiritual diseases and problems ensue. BJU and HBC are infected with Lordship Salvation, Misunderstood Repentance and the Devil's False Bibles.

Pastors Are Killing The Churches By Resisting The Truth

The following information appeared in a Pew Forum article on October 17, 2019. The article is titled: 'In U.S., Decline Of Christianity Continues At Rapid Pace':

More than eight-in-ten members of the Silent Generation (those born between 1928 and 1945) describe themselves as Christians (84%), as do three-quarters of Baby Boomers (76%). In stark contrast, only half of Millennials (49%) describe themselves as Christians; four-in-ten are religious “nones,” and one-in-ten Millennials identify with non-Christian faiths... The data suggests that Christians are declining not just as a share of the U.S. adult population, but also in absolute numbers. [emphasis added] —SOURCE

I was saddened when I learned that Kanye performed a dance concert at Joel Osteen's so-called "church" in Houston, Texas in 2019. Check out this giant All Seeing Eye which was displayed when Kanye performed there. This is their way of bragging that the Luciferian elite have infiltrated the churches with the New World Order. I-chabod (the glory of the Lord is departed) is written over the door of today's churches!!! Joel Osteen is a false teacher. Evangelist Michael P. Bowen refutes Pastor Osteen's false gospel in his helpful book titled: "I NEVER KNEW YOU," chapter 2, page 19.

Jeremiah 23:1-2, “Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture!  saith the LORD. Therefore thus saith the LORD God of Israel against the pastors that feed my people; Ye have scattered my flock, and driven them away, and have not visited them: behold, I will visit upon you the evil of your doings, saith the LORD.” The churches are pathetic today. Formalism is the enemy of the Gospel. I have been in Catholic churches, which feel like spiritual morgues. That is because it is a formalized religion, but the blessed Holy Spirit of God is not present. God is love (1st John 4:8. God cares (1st Peter 5:7). God is faithful (1st Corinthians 1:9). 

Ephesians 4:30-32 teaches us as believers to be loving, forgiving, kind and tenderhearted one toward another. Yet, we find coldness, covetousness, hypocrisy, a sinful respect of persons, social cliques and a woeful lack of compassion for hurting people in many churches today. Something is very wrong! It is simply because the churches have fallen into the rut of going through the religious motions, not walking close to God, which produces the fruit of the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:22-25).

A Preacher Who Walks With God Will Hate Every False Way

A person who walks with God, by abiding in the Word of God, will hate every false way. Psalm 119:104, "Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way." I hate the New World Order (controlled by the Illuminati). I call them the "Luciferian elite." Alex Jones calls them "Globalists." Commander William Guy Carr refers to the NWO in his books as: "The World Revolutionary Movement." Carr refers to the Illuminati as "Satanists." These are all accurate terms. Satan is "the god of this world" (2nd Corinthians 4:4b). The average preacher doesn't study the NWO, doesn't care at all about it, and won't warn people about it. 

Consequently, tens of thousands of churches are embracing the Devil's NWO Bible versions. As any good coach will tell you: "The best defense is a strong offense!" The churches are biting hook, line and sinker into the NWO because their pastors have failed to educate them. Humbly said, it is because I love God and the inspired Word of God that I hate every false way, as the Bible says in Psalm 119:104. Sadly, over 95% of preachers and pastors today don't seem to hate anything, except not getting paid. Tragically, as I showed you earlier, the United States is departing from faith in God at a rapid pace. Pastors and churches are much to blame, for not strengthening the things that remain, for not contending for the faith!

The Way To Keep Living Is To Fight Dying

The churches are dying because pastors aren't standing. I am hated and despised by local churches on Guam where I live, and all across the world, because I preach THE TRUTH. The shameful Harvest Baptist Church of Guam, where I was welcomed for one year in 2014, axed me like a turkey on Thanksgiving Day when I befriended them with THE TRUTH (as a true friend does). Since late 2014, I have been banned from even attending church, for simply showing them that Lordship Salvation is not the Gospel.

Despite my love for them, Harvest's wicked pastors drove me out of their social club in 2014, and have sinfully ostracized me ever since. Neither Pastor Marty Herron nor Pastor Gary Walton would allow me to come back to church. Dear friend, the churches are changing because they aren't fighting not to change. It's like exercising, eating healthy and walking. If a person doesn't fight to stay healthy, we'll get fat and let our health go (now I'm preaching to myself...lol). I have been eating healthier, walking more and I've lost some weight. I feel good, but it is a constant battle. You see, you have to STRENTHEN THE THINGS THAT ARE READY TO DIE to preserve them.

The same is true of churches. By going alone with the apostasy everywhere today, and not fighting to stay healthy, the churches are all truth resistant (like insulin resistance), becoming obese with heresy and spiritual disease, dying prematurely. That's a great comparison of what is happening to churches today. To God be the glory. Our American churches have become so spoiled rotten, disgustingly fat, financially prosperous and weighed down with social clubs and high society types, that they are as a diseased body with type II diabetes. Churches today are having their bus ministry and weekly soulwinning program amputated. They are truth resistant. You can inject high doses of truth into the average church today, and it won't make a difference, they just laugh at you! 

I'm talking about the Bob Jones crowd. I'm talking about Pastor Marty Herron in Iowa at the Faith Baptist Bible College And Theological Seminary. I'm talking about Pastor John MacArthur, who is an alumni of BJU. I'm talking about Harvest Baptist Church of Guam, a dried up barren social club who emphasize the education business at the neglect of the Master's business of soulwinning. These names and institutions have all become truth resistant! You cannot help them, because they are subverted of themselves. Titus 3:10-11, “A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject; Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself.” The Lordship Salvation crowed sinneth. The wrong repentance crowd sinneth. The false Bibles crowd sinneth. They are subverted of themselves. They are TRUTH RESISTANT!!!

The Truth Resistant Harvest Baptist Church Of Guam

I happily attended the Harvest Baptist Church of Guam for a year in 2014. I saw that the church was infected with false Bibles, misunderstood repentance and Lordship Salvation. I gave them an injection of THE TRUTH, as a true friend does. I purchased several hundred dollars of books with my own money for the pastors, to help them to see. I was humble about it. I prayed and asked God to soften their hearts. But once the injection of THE TRUTH was given, I realized quickly that they are TRUTH RESISTANT at Harvest. 

Harvest Baptist Church (HBC) of Guam has spiritual type II diabetes. They have grown so fat with success, money and popularity in the geographical region, known as: The Federated States Of Micronesia, that they are sickly. Harvest's feet and toes are infected, rotting away. Their youth are rotting away with another gospel of Lordship Salvation. Harvest's spiritual glucose level is 400, using 24 different Bible versions among their sickly congregation. I am hated for caring enough to tell them THE TRUTH. Harvest's pastors are infected the most, indifferent as can be, totally truth resistant. You could inject unit after unit of TRUTH into Harvest Baptist Church Guam all day long, and their diseased church body would merely laugh at you, as they laugh at me, literally banning and ostracizing me from attending church since 2014. Harvest is as a dying man with stage 4 Type II diabetes.

The saddest thing is that although Harvest's diseased condition is totally curable, they would rather continue being infected, until every limb has rotted away, and all life is gone. Harvest's shameful pastors are arrogant sinful man, who are as fools who resent being told they are wrong. So they continue leading people into Hell by promoting Dr. Steve Pettit (president of Bob Jones University) who preaches another gospel of partial faith in Christ plus works. HBC sends people to Hell by preaching Lordship Salvation. HBC sends people to Hell by preaching a misunderstood repentance that demands a person “turn away from sin” to go to Heaven. You simply cannot give THE TRUTH to most Baptist churches today, because they have become truth resistant. This is a consequence of the sinful human heart.

Answering the question: “Why Is It So Hard To Convince People That They're Wrong?,” Pam Rose, a clinical psychologist, says:

Some people simply don’t “believe in” evidence. They believe what they want to believe for any number of reasons: to shore up a self-image, to avoid diligence and study, to support a whole system of non-evident beliefs, to remain consistent in their emotional attachments. They listen for support for their existing framework and reject all else: it’s staggering I know but some of us prefer to “like” an idea rather than support it with evidence.

Another huge step is required to convince someone they’re wrong or from a more positive perspective, to teach someone something. The other must agree to be taught by you, psychologically. From grade school teachers to preachers, coaches to politicians, parents (especially of teens!) and between friends, this ephemeral permission- to- learn- from lies between you with your evidence and your potential learner.

With some it seems once they’ve granted the permission to another to teach them, they may refuse to alter that permission despite massive evidence to the lack of fitness of that one to teach anyone anything. They may call it loyalty or commitment; I call it blindly following.

PBS show from years ago focused on a German ship rescuing German civilians from coastal areas of Europe to return them to Germany towards the end of WWII. It sank with 9,000 people, exceeding the Titanic always reputed to be the most souls lost. My good friend, a teacher could not/would not believe me. I was watching it as we spoke by phone and she sputtered, “everybody knows…..I’ve never heard of such a thing…..that’s just not true….etc. I said “It’s here before my eyes, don’t you believe PBS? I just saw full details about it” but she was adamant. I couldn’t change her mind but she changed mine about her. SOURCE

Pam is so right! These ungodly pastors today absolutely refuse to be taught by another preacher who resides outside of their particular religious clique. Just like that foolish teacher who refused to believe that 9,000 people died when the Wilhelm Gustloff ship sank in January of 1945, so also do today's foolish Bob Jones University graduates refuse to believe that God only authored ONE BIBLE (not 2, or 39, or 900). They refuse to believe that Lordship Salvation is a false plan of salvation. They refuse to believe that you don't have to forsake a lifestyle of sinful behavior to be saved. 

Yet, these things are all true. You don't have to stop any sin to be saved. You don't have to follow Jesus as your “Lord” (Boss), surrendering all to Him to receive God's free gift of eternal life. That is why the Bible calls eternal life “a gift,” because you can have it without working or qualifying for it. Literally, Steve Pettit teaches that Heaven is an “award” that you must “qualify” for. That is as Satanic as anything I have ever heard preached from a pulpit. Pettit said that to 2,700 students and faculty at Bob Jones University during chapel on January 26, 2015.

Pastor John MacArthur errantly preaches that salvation is “an exchange” for all that you are for all that Jesus is. Folks, it cannot be a gift then! Either salvation is a trade, an equal exchange of some sorts, or else it is a free gift that you simply receive by faith alone (Galatians 3:26), but it cannot be both. I am saddened and frustrated that so many pastors today refuse to heed THE TRUTH. I am irritated to know that the majority of Baptist pastors have nothing to say in rebuke of Evangelist Ken Ham's false theology, which demands that a person “repent of your sin” to be saved. That is false religion! If a man must cease from fornicating, getting drunk and stealing from his employer to be saved, or prove that he is saved, then eternal life cannot be justly called a “free gift” (Romans 5:15-18).

Is your pastor and congregation TRUTH RESISTANT? If so, your church has been infected with sinful error and pride. There's just something in our sinful human nature that hates being wrong. Carnally-minded people would rather die than admit they were wrong! I used to tell people to “invite Jesus into your heart” to be saved, but I was very wrong. Dr. Oliver B. Greene used to preach that junk theology and misled a bunch of people. No, you don't invite Jesus into your heart to be saved, you simply “believe” on Him as the Bible says. John 6:47, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.” You cannot show me even one verse that teaches to invite Jesus into your heart. Right doctrine matters!

Popular Myths About Hell And The Devil Debunked

Job 1:6-7, “Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them. And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.” 1st Peter 5:8-9, “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.” Revelation 2:13, “I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan's seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth.”

Hollywood movies often portray the Devil as tormenting people in Hell, but nothing could be further from the truth. The typical depiction of the Devil is as a red creature with a tail, a sinister smirk on his face, having two horns on his head, and holding a big pitchfork to torment his prey. The Holy Bible describes Satan very differently in 2nd Corinthians 11:13-15, “For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.” The Bible describes Satan as an imposter, an actor, who masquerades as as angel of light...

The Devil Is A Beautiful Liar!

So this is the first myth about the Devil, that he is some red guy with horns, having a tail, and carries a pitchfork. That is the world's idea of who the Devil is, and it is admittedly intriguing, but that is not how the Word of God describes him. Satan appears as a beautiful creature, an angel of God, a popular rock star! When the Antichrist comes, the world will love and follow him, because he will not appear in his true form. Half way into the Tribulation period, the Antichrist's true colors will appear (called 'The Abomination Of Desolation' - Matthew 24:15), when the False Prophet starts murdering anybody who refuses to bow down and worship the Beast (Revelation 13:15-18). The very core nature of the New World Order is deception. Revelation 12:9, “And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.” I preach THE TRUTH so you won't be deceived.

The Devil Does Not Appear As The Devil

The Devil came to Eve in the form of a serpent, to deceive her. Do you know why Satan came as a serpent? The answer is simply because there were no other human beings at the time. If the Devil were to come to Eve today, he would come to her as a wicked person, who gives wicked advice (Psalms 1:1). When someone advises you to file for divorce, that is the Devil talking. When someone advises you to get even with someone, that is the Devil talking. When someone advises you to have an abortion, that is the Devil talking. When someone advises you to do anything wrong, that is the Devil talking. SHUT UP DEVIL!!!

Please don't forget this important truth. Evil often appears as good, intending to deceive it's victims. I could give you several dozen good examples. One example is the Tree of Knowledge in the Garden of Eden. Genesis 3:6, “And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.” Sound familiar? It sounds like the state governments, each time the individual states wanted to start a new state lottery. The states promise more money for education for the children. They promise lower taxes. But when they get their dirty lottery, the money gets stolen. Here's proof of what I just said!

The Devil Does Not State His True Intentions

Another example of how the Devil deceives are the gambling casinos. There has been substantial research done showing the phycological addiction often associated with gambling, and how casinos use this human weakness to prey upon their victims. If you read the preceding article at the link I provided, you learned that casinos use bright flashing lights and thrilling sounds to mesmerize their victims. Literally, by manipulating your desire for excitement, casinos make you feel like a winner while you're losing!!! The Devil is a beautiful liar!

Dear reader, that is exactly how the Devil works all the time! While a young woman is throwing away her virginity, giving her most prized possession (her innocence) to some lustful dog to whom she is not legally married, through his deceptive charm he makes her feel like she is a winner, only to find out shortly thereafter that she was just another fire-hydrant for a dog. Young ladies, never have carnal knowledge (intimacy) with a male until you are legally married. Most males are immoral nowadays, having being brought up with the Playboy American mindset, which is very sinful (Hebrews 13:4). You cannot go wrong doing things God's way. I'd rather die an old maid, than to live the rest of my life with regret that I gave my virginity to some pig that used me. If you wait until you are legally married, you cannot be burned. And I don't mean waiting until some guy promises to marry you, that means nothing. I mean wait until you are legally declared man and wife. The Devil is a beautiful liar!

The serpent came to Eve instead of Adam, knowing that she was the weaker vessel (1st Peter 3:7). The serpent lied to Eve, only telling her what she wanted to hear (1st Timothy 2:14). The Devil convinced Eve that eating the forbidden fruit would be a win-win situation. It turned out to be the worst and most costly bad decision she ever made. Sound familiar? We've all been conned and made bad decisions that we regret. From shady used car salesman to crooked greedy lawyers, dishonest people will not tell you the whole truth. We've all been taken advantage of by lying politicians, shady business advertisements and thieving car rental agencies. The United States has become one of the most greedy and dishonest cultures in history.

Dear friend, the Devil is not in Hell, he is roaming the earth. Job 1:6-7, “Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them. And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.” The Bible calls Satan “The Prince Of The Power Of The Air” in Ephesians 2:2, “Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:” The Devil is a spirit. Could the “power of the air” refer to the incredible power of THE MEDIA? Brother Lester Roloff (1914-1982) used to say that next to the Word of God, the media is the most powerful force in the world. I fully agree! The U.S. newsmedia has the power to accomplish what an invading enemy army could not do!

Hell Is A Literal Place, Not Just A Parable

Human beings are not bodies with a spirit; but rather, a spirit with a body. Singer Sting of the band 'The Police' sang it right: “We are spirits in the material world.” That is accurate biblically. When our body can no longer provide housing for the spirit God gave to us at birth, our spirit returns to God Who gave it (Ecclesiastes 12:7). Our days on earth are numbered. Dear friend, the Devil is not in Hell, but he WILL BE down the road, and so will you if you die in your sins. Matthew 25:41, “Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:” 

Hell is a literal place, which burns with fire and brimstone (Revelation 21:8), which was originally prepared only for the Devil and his angels (i.e., Lucifer and the demons). It is clear to me from the Scripture that Hell (Hades) is located in the heart of the earth (Matthew 12:40). Scientists in 2021 still cannot determine if the center of the earth is composed of liquid rock, or if it is solid. They do know that the inner mantle is molten rock (lava). God never wanted one human being to go to Hell. But when Adam sinned, he opened the floodgate of sin and death upon the world (Romans 5:12). 

Consequently, humans do go to Hell now, anyone who dies in their sins (Luke 16:19-31; John 8:24; 2nd Thessalonians 1:8-9; Jude 1:7; Revelation 20:11-15; 21:8). Some Bible teachers say that the story Jesus told about the Rich Man And Lazarus in Luke 16:19-31 is a only a parable. Mormons, Seventh-Day Adventists and Jehovah's Witnesses all three agree that this story is only a fictitious parable. However, we know that is a true story for a few reasons:

1. Jesus did not call it a parable (which He always did when telling one)
2. The Lord used proper nouns (Abraham and Lazarus), which He never did when telling a parable.
3. Jesus didn't explain afterwards what the story meant, which He always did when telling a parable, so the hearers could understand.
4. In John 14:2b Jesus said, “if it were not so, I would have told you.” It would have been very deceptive and misleading for the Lord to describe a literally place of Hell, fire and eternal torment, if such a place did not really exist.
5. Other passages of Scripture support the reality of a physical place called Hell. Matthew 10:28, “And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.”

Yet, I am amazed to hear Bible teachers; such as I heard in a Wednesday night Bible study at the Harvest Baptist Church of Guam, that Luke 16:19-31 is merely only an untrue parable. If we are to take the Bible at face value, and I certainly do, then we must accept this story as 100% true. It actually happened! That is why Jesus mentioned actual names of real people.

The Devil Wants You To Do Your Will, Not His Will

Most people think that the Devil wants you to do his will. The truth is that Satan has no will for your life. The Devil couldn't care less about you, your loved ones, your friends, nor anybody else. Jesus warned that the thief (Satan) comes only to kill, steal and destroy (John 10:10). The Devil wants you to do your own thing, which is sadly what most youth are doing today in America. A socking 16% of 'Generation Z' now identify as homosexuals. According to Pew Forum, Christianity is in rapid decline in America.

Infamous Satanist Anton LaVey's (1930-1997) is famous for authoring 'The Satanic Bible,' in which he teaches that it is okay to commit immorality, just so long as you don't hurt anybody else. Whoremonger, Hugh Hefner (1926-2017) shared such immoral warped views. But that is a woeful deception, because immorality always hurts other people, whether it be from an abortion, the further destroying of someone's soul by sinning, or the undermining of the integrity of society as a whole. 

The 20th century's most infamous Satanist, Aleister Crowley (1875-1947), is famous for his motto: “DO AS THOU WILT, SHALL BE THE WHOLE OF THE LAW.” This is the same degenerate life's philosophy as Hefner and LaVey. Since they all disregarded God's commandments, these men elevated themselves as God, adhering to a lowlife form of beastly morality that permitted anything that society tolerated. Dear friend, low living has a high price! Colossians 3:5-7, “Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience: In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them.” 

It is not okay to live any way you and I choose, just so long as we think it doesn't hurt other people. What saith the Scripture? Ecclesiastes 12:13, “Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.” If we are to live by faith as believers in Christ, then we must fear God and keep HIS COMMANDMENTS, not our own. To the same extent that Americans forsake the King James Bible, faith no longer exists, and all manner of wickedness follows.

The Devil Is Not In Hell Waiting For More Victims

The Devil romans the earth as a roaring lion, seeking his next victims. 1st Peter 5:8-9, “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.” The Devil wont be the one to torment the dead in Hell, God will. 2nd Thessalonians 1:8, “In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;” God Himself will punish the lost.

Matthew 10:28, “And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” Vengeance belongs to God alone. The Devil does not have the authority nor power to hurt anyone without God's permission. We know in the Scriptures that God DOES often allow the Devil to hurt the unsaved (Revelation 9:4). God protects His own, the saints. Psalm 34:7, “The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.” The world gives the Devil too much credit. Satan cannot send anyone to Hell. Only God can put somebody in Hell, but He only sends those to Hell who choose to go there, by willfully rejecting the sacrifice of His only begotten Son on the cross for their sins (Philippians 3:9). To reject the free gift of God's grace deserves the penalty of eternal damnation. How can proud sinful men knowingly reject such a free gift rooted in the unmeasurable love of a holy God?

Perhaps the most interesting Scripture of all is found in Revelation 2:13, “I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan's seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth.” The Devil has his favorite seat in church. That is what we just read, “where Satan dwelleth,” in the church! That All Seeing Eye they are displaying speaks loud and clear that Kanye West is of the Devil, and Satan has infiltrated this wicked church with the New World Order. You couldn't make this stuff up! Yet, 70,000 deceived people continue to attend Joel Osteen's truth-barren apostasy circus each week, selling their souls to Satan.

I just wanted to point out a few common myths about Hell and Satan in this blog. The Devil's greatest feat has been to convince the world that he doesn't really exist, but he does friend! SATAN IS REAL!!! Just look at all the senseless wars and mass killings over the past 200 years. The Bible attributes these evils to Lucifer (Isaiah 14:12-18). When Jesus returns at His Second Coming, Satan will be bound in chains in the Bottomless Pit for 1,000 years' (Revelation 20:6). This will be a period of peace like the world has never known, often called in theology: 'THE MILLENNIUM.' Jesus Himself will reign as King over the earth from the throne of David in Jerusalem, in the true and regathered nation of Israel. The raptured saints, and all those saints who didn't live through the Tribulation, will help Jesus reign (Revelation 20:6). The saints who do survive the Tribulation, will go into the Millennium with their earthly bodies, bearing children and living happy lives without the Devil to ruin everything.
