The Gospel In 45 Seconds

1st Corinthians 15:1-4, “Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.”

The gospel is three things:
  1. Jesus DIED on a cross 2,000 years ago to pay your dent of sin.
  2. Jesus was BURIED.
  3. Jesus bodily RESURRECTED from the dead three days later.
You must realize that you are a needy sinner. Romans 3:19-20, “Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. You've got to know what you're being saved from, the penalty of sin in Hell forever (Revelation 21:8).

Any admitted guilty sinner who comes to God, by faith (taking God at His written Word), accepting Christ's sacrificial death on Calvary's cross as FULL PAYMENT for your sins, believing that Jesus was buried but then raised up the third day, is saved. 1st Thessalonians 4:14, “For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.” That's all you need to do to go to Heaven, simply REST in the finished work of Christ through Calvary's cross. Simply BELIEVE (trust, rely) that Jesus did it all for you.

Salvation is not a reward for the righteous, it is a gift for the guilty.

Salvation is not doing your best, it is having Christ's best put to your account through receiving Him by faith.

Turning away from sinful ways would be a work. Faith puts all of the merit where it belongs, on the object of our faith, Jesus and His redemptive work.

The true Gospel always points you to CHRIST; a false gospel always points to YOU.

Faith is the only righteous thing that I can do.

You don't need to pray a Sinner's Prayer to get to Heaven, just “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved” (Acts 16:31).

Thank you for reading my ministry blog.

Properly Exegeting Romans Chapter 2

Romans 2:1-3, “Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things. But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things. And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?”

In my humble opinion, the key verse in Romans chapter 2 is Romans 2:17, “Behold, thou art called a Jew, and restest in the law, and makest thy boast of God. If you miss this truth, you'll misinterpret the entire passage. The Apostle Paul is rebuked the self-righteous religious crowd for resting in the Law of Moses instead of resting in the 'GOOD NEWS' (Gospel) of Jesus Christ crucified, buried and risen the third day (1st Corinthians 15:1-6).

Romans 2:17-20, “In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospelBehold, thou art called a Jew, and restest in the law, and makest thy boast of God, And knowest his will, and approvest the things that are more excellent, being instructed out of the law; And art confident that thou thyself art a guide of the blind, a light of them which are in darkness, An instructor of the foolish, a teacher of babes, which hast the form of knowledge and of the truth in the law.”

Paul said that he received the Gospel directly from Jesus Himself (Galatians 1:12).

Dan Corner Is Caught Between Works And Grace

One of the most dangerous FALSE TEACHERS today is Evangelist Dan Corner at Evangelistic Outreach Ministries, who vehemently denies the fundamental Bible doctrine of Eternal Security. I sincerely feel very sorry for Dan and his family, because unless they repent of trusting in their own goodness and many wonderful works done in Jesus' name, none of them will be allowed someday to enter into Heaven.

This is why Jesus warned in Luke 13:23-24, “Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them, Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.” Jesus completed the only “work” on Calvary's cross that can save sinners. Jesus paid a debt that He did not owe because we owed a debt we could not pay (2nd Corinthians 5:21).

Here is a FALSE meme on Dan Corner's website...

Kindly said, Dan Corner fails to understand or rightly divide the Word of Truth. Although it is true that “by the fear of the LORD men depart from evil” (Proverbs 6:16b), it is also true that not every born again Christian fears God as they ought. When that happens, our heavenly Father has to scourge and chastise us (Hebrews 12:6-8). Hebrews 12:6, “For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.”

But this doesn't in any way jeopardize our eternally secure position in God's family as His child, which is based solely upon one's faith in Christ. Romans 6:1-2, “What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? You won't find a better Scripture passage that supports the fundamental Bible doctrine of Eternal Security. We shouldn't abide in sin. I like what

When David in the Old Testament committed adultery with Bathsheba and then ruthlessly murdered Uriah her husband to hide his wickedness, David did not fear God as he should have at that time in his life, but David's salvation was still safe and secure in the everlasting arms of the Father in Heaven.

Exodus 20:20, “And Moses said unto the people, Fear not: for God is come to prove you, and that his fear may be before your faces, that ye sin not.” Dan Corner cites this passage in a lame attempt to deny the truth of Eternal Security. According to Mr. Corner you are not saved if you indulge in a lifestyle of willful wicked partying in sin. The inspired Word of God strongly disagrees with Corner, as I just showed you from Romans 6:1-2. As saints we fall 'IN GRACE,' never 'FROM GRACE' (which fate only someone who trusts in the works of the law can suffer according to Galatians 5:4).

Kindly said, Dan Corner simply does NOT understand God's simple plan of salvation. Dan hates sin so much that he has added turning from sin to live in holiness as a prerequisite to saving faith, which is a works-based counterfeit gospel (Jonah 3:10).
Romans 8:32-35, “He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth. Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?”

ONCE SAVED, ALWAYS SAVED! Or as I like to say: IF SAVED, ALWAYS SAVED! The spiritual new birth is as irreversible as the physical birth. We do not get saved by doing good works, so we cannot be lost again by doing bad works. Hebrews 6:1 teaches to repent from DEAD WORKS (i.e., all works which cannot save, which includes bad works and good works alike). You cannot forsake bad works, nor add good works, to please God. Our best effort is filth to God (Isaiah 64:6). Sin must be paid for by death, which is why Christ died a vicarious (substitutionary) death on Calvary's cross in our place 2,000 years ago.

According to Romans 2:17 the Apostle Paul is addressing self-righteous religious Jews. As such, those Jews were resting (trusting) in keeping the Law of Moses. Paul points out to them in Romans 2:13b that it is “not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.” In other words, if you want to merit your own way to Heaven by keeping the Law of Moses, then you cannot break or leave off even one of those approximately 720 laws. Breaking even one law essentially makes someone guilty of violating them all, since only one sin is enough to disqualify a sinner from entering into Heaven (James 2:10).

Paul then leaves off rebuking them for their utter hypocrisy and proceeds to educate them in Romans chapter 3 that “all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. There is the simple unadulterated truth dear reader. We are all guilty sinners in the Lord's sight for violating His commandments. Romans 3:10-11, As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.

Romans 2:7 Does Not Teach Works Salvation

Redemption cannot be obtained through becoming a doer of the law. Dan Corner literally cites Romans 2:7 to support his damnable heresy of denying the eternal security of the believer. Romans 2:7, “To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life.” Sadly, some some false prophets (like Dan Corner) have tried to use this Scripture passage to teach that “good works (“by patient continuance in well doing”) are essential to salvation (i.e., eternal life). However, that is absolutely not what this passage is teaching, God forbid.

The only “work” good enough to save a person is the work Christ performed on Calvary's cross 2,000 years ago. Therefore, whosoever accepts Christ's sacrifice on the cross as full payment for their sins, believing that Jesus was buried but then miraculously resurrected from the dead three days later is saved. What Paul means in Romans 2:7 is simply that someone who is pure of heart to seek the truth will ultimately find it at Jesus' feet. John 14:6, “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

Acts 10:35-36,  “But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him. The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all:)”

When asked by some followers of Jesus what “work” God required of them to have eternal life, Jesus plainly said to trust in Him. John 6:28-29, “Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.” Here we have a bold proclamation from Christ Himself, that the only work a person can do to get to Heaven is to simply BELIEVE ON THE LORD JESUS CHRIST (cf., Acts 16:30-31; Galatians 3:26; 1st Thessalonians 4:14).

Romans 2:7, “To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life.”  A good example of Romans 2:7 is the life of Cornelius in Acts chapter 10. Cornelius was a centurion commander over 100 soldiers in the Italian army. The Bible tells us that Cornelius was a good man who feared God and loved the people. He gave alms to the poor. He prayed and fasted. He wanted to do what was right to please God, even as a lost man. The Scripture tells us that Cornelius was still a lost hellbound sinner. Yet, it was because of Cornelius' sincere desire to please God, that ultimately led Cornelius to salvation through faith in Jesus Christ (Acts 10:43-44).

Heaven Tracts

2nd Corinthians 4:3-4, “But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.”

I cannot express enough how important it is to present the Gospel with clarity and simplicity. You can DOWNLOAD this tract in .pdf format to PRINT, if you'd like.

If the Gospel we present is not CLEAR, SIMPLE, Or it is intertwined with works of any kind...

Then we have essentially doomed the individual to Hell, fire and damnation forever. Revelation 20:15, “And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”

Acts 16:31b, “
Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved.

The Simplicity Of God's Plan Of Salvation

2nd Corinthians 11:3-4, “But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.”

Since the beginning of human civilization, the Devil has been trying to complicate God's simple plan of salvation for mankind. Part of our sinful human nature is pride and self-righteousness. 2nd Corinthians 4:3-4, “But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.” Satan wants everyone to spend eternity burning in the fires of Hell. All men are sinners (Romans 3:10-23). We have all broken God's Ten Commandments. The primary purpose of God's Old Testament law is to give humanity “THE KNOWLEDGE OF SIN” (Romans 3:20b). Consequently, we all deserve to be punished in Hell forever.

Most preachers today misunderstand the inspired Word of God. Men by nature have ego issues, full of stubborn pride and an unwillingness to admit when wrong doctrinally. I love the following passage of Scripture, which gives us some meat and potatoes doctrinally (i.e., foundational principles)...
Romans 3:19-27, “Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.”
Please don't miss what we just read in verses 21 and 22, “But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: Carefully notice that the Bible simply says to BELIEVE on Jesus Christ to be saved. There is no mention of repenting of sin or turning away from your sins to be saved. That is keeping the law! Telling someone to turn away from their sin to get to Heaven is the same as putting them under the yoke of keeping the law to be saved. What do you think the law is? ...
THE TEN COMMANDMENTS (Exodus 20:1-17):
  1. You will not have other gods before me.
  2. You will not make idols.
  3. You will not take the name of the eternal God in vain.
  4. Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy.
  5. Honor your father and your mother.
  6. You will not kill.
  7. You shall not commit adultery.
  8. You will not steal.
  9. You shall not speak false testimony against your neighbor.
  10. You will not covet.
Nine of those commandments are moral law, which apply to all people, for all time periods, and in all geographical areas. But the fourth commandment to keep The Sabbath was only for the Jews, who lived during the Old Testament time period, and who lived in the land of Palestine. According to Colossians 2:14-16 the ceremonial laws were nailed to the cross. God's law became fulfilled in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ (Romans 10:3-4). So we are not expected by God to keep the Sabbath Day today in New Testament times. It was a ceremonial law, not a moral law. This is important to understand.

These knuckleheaded ignoramus preachers today who go around foolishly requiring people to turn away from sin to be saved, are in reality keeping lost sinners under the curse and weight of God's law, which is another gospel accursed by God (Romans 3:19-20; Galatians 1:6-9). Jesus came into the world to die for our sins, not demand that we make an effort to stop committing them or else God won't save us. The very idea is absurd. Who can turn away from their sins? No one! You may have forsaken 99% of the sins in your life, but you will still be just as dirty, guilty and wicked as the vilest sinner upon the face of the earth (James 2:10). If you comprehend this Bible truth, then you will quickly understand the total fallacy of “Lordship Salvation.” You don't get saved by “surrendering all” to live for Christ; but rather, you get saved by ceasing from your own labors and simply RESTING in the finished redemptive work of Christ (Hebrews 4:10-11). JESUS PAID IT ALL!!!

Here is a wonderful excerpt from Michael P. Bowen's helpful book titled: “I NEVER KNEW YOU: The Horror Of The Great White Throne Judgement And How You Can Avoid It”:
Here is the gospel: God says that we are sinners and that no amount of good works or behavioral changes on our part could ever make us holy enough to enter heaven. God sent His Son to pay for all of our sins. Jesus paid for our crimes by dying on the cross for us all. His dead body was buried in a grave. On the third day, Jesus arose from the dead. The instant you believe this, He knows it and He saves you. “Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that believeth on Me hath everlasting life”(John 6:47). The free gift is based solely upon your trust in what Jesus did for you and has nothing at all to do with what you do for Him. “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9). ~Michael P. Bowen, “I Never Knew You,” p. xii
There you have it friend, how to know that you're going to Heaven in just 30 seconds!

“But we've so muddied the Gospel, that when men want to make a decision to trust Christ, we've made it so complicated that they can't make a simple decision to 'Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved.' We'll say, 'If you don't do this' or 'You don't do that' or 'You haven't done that,' you're not saved'; but the truth of the matter is that when asked in the Bible, 'Sirs, what must I do to be saved?,' one clear simple answer was given to him — 'Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved.'” —Pastor Curtis Hutson, “Things That Are Different Are Not The Same” (preached at Southwide Baptist Fellowship on October 3, 1994)

God bless you dear reader and thank you for taking the time to read my blog. To God alone be ALL the praise, credit, thanks and glory, because without Jesus we can do nothing (John 15:5). Jesus is precious!!!

God’s Simple Plan of Salvation

Pastor Robert Ford Porter (1893-1976) was born in Sparta, Michigan. His parents were godly Christians, and he was saved at a young age. After his father died, however, he drifted away from God. He rededicated his life to Christ during a revival in Evansville, Indiana when he was 23. Porter taught Sunday school and worked with Dr. Ernest Reveal at the Evansville Rescue Mission. In 1919 he surrendered to preach and attended Moody Bible Institute.

After graduating he founded the East Side Baptist Church in Evansville. In 1926 he accepted the pastorate of First Baptist Church in Princeton, Indiana. He led his church to leave the increasingly liberal Northern Baptist Convention, then was forced by the convention to spend two years in court defending the withdrawal. Porter won the case, establishing the right of churches to leave the convention.

Porter later founded the Lifegate Baptist Church in Indianapolis. Among the other ministries he started were Indiana Baptist College (Heritage Baptist University), Came Berean, a radio ministry, a film ministry and the Vacation Bible School Institute. He is best known for his tract," God's Simple Plan of Salvation," which he wrote in 1933. Lifegate, Inc., which he founded for the sole purpose of distributing the tract, has now published more than 500,000,000 copies in over 100 languages.

Porter's prayer for a worldwide ministry that outlived him has been richly answered. On November 20, 1976, Ford Porter went Home to Heaven. His ministry continues today, led by his son, Robert Ford Porter, and his grandson, Robert Mark Porter. His tract continues to be printed and distributed around the world, and multiplied thousands have been saved through its clear presentation of the gospel message. SOURCE

Without further ado, here is Pastor Ford Porter's wonderful Gospel tract, “God's Simple Plan Of Salvation,” which he wrote in the year 1933:
My Friend: I am asking you the most important question of life. Your joy or your sorrow for all eternity depends upon your answer. The question is: Are you saved? It is not a question of how good you are, nor if you are a church member, but are you saved? Are you sure you will go to Heaven when you die?

God says in order to go to Heaven, you must be born again. In John 3:7, Jesus said to Nicodemus, “Ye must be born again.”

In the Bible God gives us the plan of how to be born again which means to be saved. His plan is simple! You can be saved today. How?

First, my friend, you must realize you are a sinner. “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).
Because you are a sinner, you are condemned to death. “For the wages [payment] of sin is death” (Romans 6:23). This includes eternal separation from God in Hell.
“ . . . it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment” (Hebrews 9:27).
But God loved you so much He gave His only begotten Son, Jesus, to bear your sin and die in your place. “ . . . He hath made Him [Jesus, Who knew no sin] to be sin for us . . . that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him” (2 Corinthians 5:21).

Jesus had to shed His blood and die. “For the life of the flesh is in the blood” (Lev. 17:11). “ . . .without shedding of blood is no remission [pardon]” (Hebrews 9:22).

“ . . . God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8).

Although we cannot understand how, God said my sins and your sins were laid upon Jesus and He died in our place. He became our substitute. It is true. God cannot lie.

My friend, “God . . . commandeth all men everywhere to repent” (Acts 17:30). This repentance is a change of mind that agrees with God that one is a sinner, and also agrees with what Jesus did for us on the Cross.

In Acts 16:30-31, the Philippian jailer asked Paul and Silas: “ . . . ‘Sirs, what must I do to be saved?’ And they said, ‘Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved. . . .’ ”

Simply believe on Him as the one who bore your sin, died in your place, was buried, and whom God resurrected. His resurrection powerfully assures that the believer can claim everlasting life when Jesus is received as Savior.
“But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name” (John 1:12).

“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13).
Whosoever includes you. Shall be saved means not maybe, nor can, but shall be saved. Surely, you realize you are a sinner. Right now, wherever you are, repenting, lift your heart to God in prayer.

In Luke 18:13, the sinner prayed: “God be merciful to me a sinner.” Just pray: “Oh God, I know I am a sinner. I believe Jesus was my substitute when He died on the Cross. I believe His shed blood, death, burial, and resurrection were for me. I now receive Him as my Savior. I thank You for the forgiveness of my sins, the gift of salvation and everlasting life, because of Your merciful grace. Amen.”

Just take God at His word and claim His salvation by faith. Believe, and you will be saved. No church, no lodge, no good works can save you. Remember, God does the saving. All of it!

God’s simple plan of salvation is: You are a sinner. Therefore, unless you believe on Jesus Who died in your place, you will spend eternity in Hell. If you believe on Him as your crucified, buried, and risen Savior, you receive forgiveness for all of your sins and His gift of eternal salvation by faith.

You say, “Surely, it cannot be that simple.” Yes, that simple! It is scriptural. It is God’s plan. My friend, believe on Jesus and receive Him as Savior today.

If His plan is not perfectly clear, read this tract over and over, without laying it down, until you understand it. Your soul is worth more than all the world.

“For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world and lose his own soul?” (Mark 8:36).

Be sure you are saved. If you lose your soul, you miss Heaven and lose all. Please! Let God save you this very moment.

God’s power will save you, keep you saved, and enable you to live a victorious Christian life. “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, Who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it” (1 Corinthians 10:13).

Do not trust your feelings. They change. Stand on God’s promises. They never change. After you are saved, there are three things to practice daily for spiritual growth:
Pray — you talk to God.
Read your Bible — God talks to you.
Witness — you talk for God.
AFTER you are saved, you should be baptized in obedience to the Lord Jesus Christ as a public testimony of your salvation, and then unite with a Bible-believing church without delay. “Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord . . . .” (2 Timothy 1:8).

Please note that you DON'T have to be baptized to go to Heaven. It is a step of obedience for the believer.

“Whosoever therefore shall confess [testify of] Me before men, him will I confess also before My Father which is in heaven” (Matthew 10:32).

Actor Jim Carrey's Suffering Led Him To Jesus Christ

1st Corinthians 1:18-19, “For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.”

I was delighted to learn that actor Jim Carrey is a Christian. Here is Jim's heart touching story. This is so precious! Sadly, Carrey's girlfriend took her own life in 2015. Through his suffering, losses and hardships, Jim Carrey said he was led to trust Jesus as His personal Savior, for which I am grateful. Many Christians had prayed for a long time for the beloved actor's salvation.

It just goes to show, that you never know who might come to Jesus Christ. Let's keep sharing the Gospel and praying for God to work in the hearts of the unsaved.
“There is power in this Gospel message. Most people just don't know how to present it... The clarity of the Gospel is what makes it easy for them to believe.”—Pastor Yankee Arnold, “WHY GRACE CAN SAVE THE WORST MAN!
Dear reader, God's plan of salvation is so free, easy and simple that even a small child can be saved simply by believing the Gospel (Good News) of Jesus' death on the cross, burial and bodily resurrection three days later. This is the Gospel according to 1st Corinthians 15:1-6.
1st Corinthians 15:1-6, “Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.”
BELIEVE IT, oh sinner, and you will be saved immediately, irrevocably and eternally.

The Prodigal Son Just Came

Luke 15:17-20, “And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father's have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger! I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee, And am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants. And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.”

The father had no idea why his son was coming home. The father didn't know if his son was sorry or if he had changed. For all the father knew the son wanted to ask for more money.

Yet, the inspired Holy Bible says that the father ran to meet him on the way. I heard this great sermon truth today from Pastor Jack Hyles. The sermon is called, “When He Was A Great Way Off.” I made this helpful sermon excerpt and titled it, The Prodigal Son Just Came.” Dear reader, God loves you so much and wants to give you eternal life, that even before you get to Him, He'll will save you while you're coming!

“Come as you are” God says, and I'll clean you up when you get there!” 1st John 1:9, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. You don't have to commit to forsake your sins to get to Heaven, you JUST COME AS YOU ARE! Whatever changes that God wants to see happen in your life is His department. You don't have to forsake your sins to get saved; Jesus paid for your sins through Calvary' cross with His blood, sprinkling that literal blood upon the heavenly Mercy Seat (Hebrews 9:12, 22-24; 12:24). No matter who you are, oh needy sinner, COME to the Lord and He will give you rest!
“We suppose there are many faulty ideas about repentance, but we will deal here with the more popular ones. Perhaps the most popular false idea is that repentance is turning from sin. We have heard some well-known preachers say, If you want to be saved, repent of your sins, turn from your sins.' If turning from your sins means to stop sinning, then people can only be saved if they stop sinning. And it is unlikely that anyone has ever been saved, since we don't know anyone who has ever stopped sinning.” —Dr. Curtis Hutson (1934-1995), booklet titled: “Repentance,” p. 4; © 1986, Sword of the Lord Foundation

“Several years ago I read a book by a professor at a fundamental university. Under the chapter on salvation, he said, 'Quit your sinning, and God will give you a new heart.' He presented repentance as turning from sin. I wrote this dear brother and expressed my concern, knowing that such teaching frustrates the unbeliever and makes him think that salvation is unattainable since he cannot live a sinless life.” —Dr. Curtis Hutson (1934-1995), booklet titled: “Repentance,” p. 5; © 1986, Sword of the Lord Foundation
“You don't get better to get saved; you get saved to get better. You can't get better until you do get saved.” —Dr. Curtis Hutson (1934-1995), booklet titled: “Repentance,” p. 5; ©1986, Sword of the Lord Foundation
Woe unto all the wicked pastors today who are preaching a counterfeit plan of salvation of partial faith in Christ plus something else!

You don't have to repent of your sins to be saved.

You don't have to take Jesus as the supreme “Lord of your life to be saved.

You don't have to be water baptized to get to Heaven.

You don't have to become a Christ follower to get to Heaven.

You don't have to keep any sacraments to be saved.

You simply need to COME AS YOU ARE AS A SINNER and receive Christ's sacrifice on the cross as full payment for your sins, believing that He was buried, and then physically raised up from the dead three days later. This is THE GOSPEL (Good News) by which all who BELIEVE IT are saved. The Gospel is not a lifestyle to be lived, it is simply GOOD NEWS to be BELIEVED! Romans 1:16, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”

1st Thessalonians 4:14, “For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.” BELIEVE IT, oh sinner, and the work is done! John 6:28-29, “Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.” Believe! Believe! Believe! John 20:31, “But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.” Believe! Believe! Believe!

Just as the Prodigal Son just came to his father, that's all you need to do dear reader to be saved, just come to God by faith in His only begotten Son, Jesus, the Christ. Simply believe that Jesus did it all for you! John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Believe! Believe! Believe!

The inspired King James Bible tells us that it is very simple to be saved, so that our sins are forever washed away, and we will go to Heaven one day when we breathe our last breath on earth. FAITH + THE GOSPEL = SALVATION. It's that simple. But if you trust in anything more dear reader, then you will not go to Heaven to be with the Lord Jesus Christ, you will spend eternity in Hell (Revelation 20:15).

To get to Heaven, you must wholly rest in Jesus' name alone (John 1:12), which is what the Old Testament Sabbath Day symbolized. Hebrews 4:10-11, “For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief. Just as God rested from His works on the seventh day, even so must we rest completely in the finished redemptive work of Jesus to be saved.

Jesus has already done all the work required to pay for our sins. That is why God is offering eternal life as a free gift to anyone who wants it. Simply take God at His written Word as recorded in the inspired Scripture. Faith is the only righteous thing that I can do. Salvation is not a reward for the righteous, it is a gift for the guilty. Salvation is not doing your best, it is having Christ's best put to your account through receiving Him by faith.

Thank you for reading my blog. Jesus is precious!!!

Warning: Do Not ADD Anything To Your Faith!

Ephesians 2:4-9, “But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

I recently posted this intriguing picture below on Facebook. A sincere guest commented that they weren't sure if this message was Biblically accurate. She used the illustration of a sweet elderly woman who trusts Christ, but she also asks God to forgive her sins. Here is what she wrote about the message in the picture below:

So, if a little old lady who can't get to church due to ill health, asked Jesus to be her Saviour (after hearing and believing gospel on the radio ) would go to hell, if she asked God to forgive her sins?

I kindly posted this Biblical reply to help her understand:

Please understand that the preceding post is not criticizing "asking" God to forgive your sins. Albeit, Scripturally we don't need to "ask" God to save us, because He is already freely offering every human being eternal life as a gift (Titus 2:11; Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 5:15-18). God will not penalize someone for ignorantly asking to be saved, but it is important to understand that you don't need to ask or pray to be saved. The Bible says to just BELIEVE (John 3:16).

The preceding quote is refuting the demonic heresy that says you must forsake your sinful bad habits to be saved. This is a popular false teaching in many churches today. So even if a sweet old lady partially trusts Christ, but she also trusts in her effort to avoid sinning, she will go to Hell forever. That is what the Bible teaches (Galatians 3:1-3; Revelation 20:12-15).

We must not ADD anything to our faith, or else it is not faith at all. Romans 11:6, "And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work." Salvation cannot be by both grace and works, it can only be one or the other.

So, kindly said, anybody who ADDS water baptism, turning away from sin, running the Christian race, counting the cost and paying the price, exchanging all that I am for all that Christ is, following Jesus as "Lord," or anything else other than resting in Jesus Christ as our personal Savior, we cannot enter into the Kingdom of God. We need GOD'S RIGHTEOUSNESS (Matthew 6:33; Romans 10:3-4; Philippians 3:9) which is imputed (credited) to us by faith alone (Romans 4:4-7). God bless you my friend and kindest regards.
Dear reader, please do not make the fatal error of thinking that God will allow people to slide. That is, don't foolishly think that God will allow anyone into Heaven apart from FAITH ALONE in His only begotten Son, Jesus. John 14:6, “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

In the Gospel of Matthew, we have a remarkable true story of a group of religious people. These folks loved serving Jesus. They boasted on Judgment Day of their many wonderful works. They boasted to Jesus of their preaching, saying: “have we not prophesied in thy name?” Carefully notice that they did these good deeds in “Thy name.” They even followed Christ, calling Him “Lord, Lord” (there's your damnable heresy of “Lordship salvation ight there). What saith the Scripture? ...
Matthew 7:21-23, “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”
The blessed Savior Himself plainly tells us the Father's will:
John 6:40, “And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.
The heavenly Father's will is that you and I, and everyone else, BELIEVE on Jesus Christ alone. God desires for ALL humanity to be saved (2nd Peter 3:9). I marvel in bewilderment and astonishment that so many preachers today fail to see the simplicity that is in Christ (2nd Corinthians 11:3-4). Instead, they ADD repenting “OF YOUR SINS” to faith, which cannot produce the new birth. The only mindset that produces the new birth is that JESUS PAID IT ALL!!! That means there is absolutely NOTHING I can do to help save myself.

Preachers get into trouble when they start relying upon their own human understanding. The Bible warns in Proverbs 14:22, “There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.” To the carnally-minded religious man, it makes perfect sense that you cannot merely come to God and receive His free gift of forgiveness of sins, while maintaining the shameful attitude that you intend to continue committing those very sins for which Christ died. But friend, if you don't believe exactly that—YOU DON'T GET GOD'S GRACE!!!

Whether a sinner intends to forsake his or her lifestyle of sinning at the time of salvation, has absolutely no impact on their faith in the Gospel (i.e., the Good News of Christ crucified, buried and risen the third day). That is why God calls it a free gift in Romans 5:18, “Therefore as by the offence of one [Adam] judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. This FREE GIFT is offered by God the Father to all mankind. You can have it for the taking dear friend, by simply accepting what the inspired Holy Bible tells us about Jesus Christ. These facts are properly called “the Gospel,” which means “Good news” or “Glad Tidings.” What saith the Scripture? ...
Romans 10:13-17, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report? So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Please don't miss that! Faith cometh by HEARING. I love what the Apostle Paul said in Galatians 3:2-3, “This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?” I LOVE THAT! This passage shows the simplicity of salvation—when a lost sinner HEARS the Gospel preached, and BELIEVES what they hear, they are immediately, irrevocably and forever saved!!! That is God's simple plan of salvation.

Keep It Simple, Because the Gospel is Simple

2nd Corinthians 11:3-4, “But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.”

The Gospel is called “THE SIMPLICITY THAT IS IN CHRIST” (2nd Corinthians 4:4). We are saved by believing THE GOSPEL. Romans 1:16, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.” 1st Corinthians 15:1-4 defines “THE GOSPEL” as three things: Christ DIED on the cross for our sins, He was BURIED, and He RESURRECTED from the dead after three days. If you believe (trust) these truths, receiving Christ's sacrifice on the cross as payment for your sins, believing that He is risen, then you are SAVED my friend!!!

The Holy Bible tells what it means to “believe,” it means to “trust.” Ephesians 1:13, “In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise.” Isn't that so precious? The Bible makes everything so simple, if you just take it at face value, and don't let deeper-life theologians mess with your mind. Ephesians 1:13, “AFTER THAT YE HEARD THE WORD OF TRUTH, THE GOSPEL OF YOUR SALVATION: IN WHOM ALSO AFTER THAT YE BELIEVED, YE WERE SEALED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT”!!! Folks, it's that simple to be born-again!!! The very moment that you place your trust in Jesus, in the Gospel, you are forever saved!!! You have eternal life!!!

Salvation is as simple as this: We are Hell-deserving sinners, and Jesus is the Savior. The big issue which needs to be dealt with in one's salvation is SIN. It is because of our own sins that we need salvation. Romans 6:23, “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Many people trust upon some religious experience, or a prayer, or mass, or baptism, or church membership to save them. However, none of these things can take our sins away. Only through Christ, by the precious blood that He shed, can our sins be taken away.

Believing Is Enough To Get To Heaven

When I attended the shameful Harvest Baptist Church on Guam for a year in 2014, I witnessed to one of their school teachers, named Jason. I asked him, “Do you believe that a person can come to God as a needy sinner and simply believe the Gospel to be saved?” He said, “Uh, I think there's more to it than that.” His disturbing reply convinced me that he is not saved.

Dear reader, faith in the GOOD NEWS of Jesus Christ crucified, buried and risen is ENOUGH to get to Heaven, nothing more is required nor permitted by God. 1st Thessalonians 4:14, “
For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. This is “the simplicity that is in Christ” (2nd Corinthians 11:3b). It is simple to be saved—you simply BELIEVE the Gospel when you hear it preached!

This is why the Apostle Paul asked the churches of Galatia in Galatians 3:2, “This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? Paul simply wanted to know how they were indwelt with the Holy Spirit (Romans 8:9). That is, how did they get saved? Was it by keeping the works of the law; Or, was it by putting their faith in the Gospel that he preached unto them? The latter is salvation; the former is damnation. Satan's greatest weapon is to con people into living the Christian life without ever being born again. We are saved by, “THE HEARING OF FAITH.”

This explains Hebrews 4:2, “For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.” You see dear reader, you get saved by BELIEVING the Gospel when you hear or read it. Moses preached the Gospel to the wandering Jews in the Wilderness for forty years, but they failed to have faith in the Good News which they heard, and tragically perished into Hell forever. There are only one of two places you can go when you die—Heaven or Hell.

Pastor Jack Hyles (1926-2001) said it well...
“More people will die and burn in Hell because they're trusting too much!”—Dr. Jack Hyles, “Yea, Yea, And Nay, Nay!
Oh guilty sinner, BELIEVING is enough to get to Heaven! Romans 1:16, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. Beware of any lying pastor and church (cult), whose Statement of Faith requires you to “Repent of your sins” to be saved. No such phrase is found anywhere in the inspired King James Bible (the only trustworthy Bible in the English language).

Beware of any church (cult) that preaches the Devil's lie of Lordship Salvation (i.e., mixing works with grace). You don't take Jesus as your Lord to get to Heaven, you take Him as your Savior. 1st Timothy 4:10, “For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.” You don't make Jesus Lord, HE IS LORD! The moment you receive the new birth, Jesus automatically becomes your Lord and Master.

As you grow in the knowledge and grace of our Lord Jesus Christ (2nd Peter 3:18), the Holy Spirit will sanctify you with the Word of God. We grow by abiding in the Scripture (1st Peter 2:2). But this is a separate matter of service (discipleship), not salvation (sonship).

I love this helpful quote from Dr. Martin R. DeHaan (1891-1965)...
"There is a vast difference between coming to Jesus for salvation and coming after Jesus for service. Coming to Christ makes one a believer, while coming after Christ makes one a disciple. All believers are not disciples. To become a believer one accepts the invitation of the Gospel, to be a disciple one obeys the challenge to a life of dedicated service and separation. Salvation comes through the sacrifice of Christ; discipleship comes only by sacrifice of self and surrender to His call for devoted service. Salvation is free, but discipleship involves paying the price of a separated walk. Salvation can't be lost because it depends upon God's faithfulness, but discipleship can be lost because it depends upon our faithfulness." —Pastor M.R. DeHaan, “Hebrews”; Zondervan Publishing House; 1959 (p. 117)
Bravo Pastor DeHaan, well said!

All that is Scripturally necessary to go to Heaven is found in Acts 16:31b, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved...”

Believing Is All That's Required To Get To Heaven

Galatians 3:22-24, “Is the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law. But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe. But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed. Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.”

I marvel how so many preachers pervert God's simple plan of salvation. The inspired King James Bible plainly teaches that salvation comes by faith alone in Jesus Christ. Eternal life is a solemn PROMISED from God to save them that believe” (1st Corinthians 1:21b).

BELIEVE! BELIEVE! BELIEVE!

Acts 13:39, “And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.” What part of BELIEVE don't today's corrupt preachers understand? I am so sick and tired of hearing ungodly preachers embellish and change God's simple plan of salvation. In most Baptist churches today, sadly, you will hear some of the following corrupt embellishments added to the Gospel:
  1. turn from your sins
  2. forsake a lifestyle of sinning
  3. leave the world
  4. forsake your past sinful ways
  5. live a lifestyle of repentance
  6. become a Christ follower
  7. surrender your life to Christ
  8. receive Jesus as your Lord
  9. get water baptized
  10. partake of sacraments
  11. pray a sinner's prayer
  12. exchange all that you are for all that Christ is
  13. commit your life to Christ
  14. faithfully run the race
  15. prove the genuineness of your faith by doing works
NONE of these things are found in the inspired King James Bible, yet you will hear any number of these perversions of the Scripture in most churches today. It is tragic!

When asked in Acts 16:30, “And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?,” the simple answer Paul and Silas gave in verse 31b was, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved...” None of the aforementioned 15 embellishments are found in Acts 16:31. But we do find the all important word “BELIEVE.

I hope you now realize dear reader that you have been lied to by most preachers today. For example: Here is the perverted plan of salvation according to the late Billy Graham.

Beware Of False Prophet, Billy Graham

One such minister of unrighteousness is Billy Graham (1918-2018). I cannot warn people enough about the lying counterfeit plan of salvation of Billy Graham, and his son Franklin Graham. Here is a quote from the official website of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA)...
“Many people come to Christ without first counting the cost. The cost includes repentance, the forsaking of sin, and a continual, daily, open acknowledgment of Christ in your life.” [emphasis added]
SOURCE: How to Be Sure You’re Saved | Decision Magazine | BGEA
Liar, liar, pants on fire in Hell!!! Nowhere does the inspired King James Bible teach those lies!!! Bible repentance is “a change of mind” (Greek: metanoia), not a change of behavior. Changing one's behavior is reformation, not repentance. A changed life for a believer is produced by the “fruit” of the indwelling Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:22-25), and by not one's decision to straighten up as a requirement to be saved. Billy Graham is a liar!!!

Openly acknowledging Christ in one's life is strictly a matter of discipleship, not sonship. Pastor M.R. DeHaan (1891-1965) said it very well...
Billy Graham has woefully confused service with salvation (confused discipleship with sonship), mixing the two, which is another gospel that cannot produce the new birth by the Holy Spirit of God. One of my very favorite quotes, comes from one of my favorite Gospel preachers, John Bunyan:
“If you do not put a difference between justification wrought by the man Christ without and sanctification wrought by the Spirit of Christ within, you are not able to divide the Word aright; but contrariwise, you corrupt the Word of God, and cast stumbling blocks before the people.” —John Bunyan (1628-1688)
That is brilliant! Every pastor and every layman should memorize that precious quote, as I have also. John Bunyan fully understood the free grace Gospel. Bunyan understood that the fruit produced by the indwelling Holy Spirit (aka, the Spirit of Christ) was a matter of sanctification, and not of justification. The heresy of Lordship Salvation confuses people by combining sanctification with justification. Woe unto false prophet pastors! Jeremiah 12:10, “Many pastors have destroyed my vineyard, they have trodden my portion under foot, they have made my pleasant portion a desolate wilderness.

Don't Get The Tickets Mixed Up!

“𝗗𝗢𝗡'𝗧 𝗚𝗘𝗧 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗧𝗜𝗖𝗞𝗘𝗧𝗦 𝗠𝗜𝗫𝗘𝗗 𝗨𝗣” (Pastor Jack Hyles, 1997). In this helpful sermon, Dr. Hyles presents the Gospel as simply as he knows how. This is awesome! ...

Years ago Brother Hyles visited a museum. He was issued TWO tickets. The first one was to get into the museum, and the second ticket was for refreshments to enjoy the museum. Dr. Hyles explains that false religions confuse these two tickets, making people think that the second ticket is necessary to get into Heaven. This is what the damnable heresy of Lordship Salvation is, mixing service with salvation. ...
  1. Ticket number 1 is God's Righteousness.
  2. Ticket number 2 is my righteousness.
Trusting in what you can do is trying is get into Heaven with ticket #2. In Matthew 7:21-23 the people were trying to get into Heaven with ticket #2 (by their own self righteousness). I encourage you to listen to this practical life changing sermon.

You Don't Have To Give Up Anything To Be Saved

Titus 2:11-15 “For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.”

Jesus gave His life on the cross to pay for your sins, He doesn't demand that you meet Him half way. He doesn't demand that you give up your sins or follow Him as “Lord to receive His free gift of eternal life. All God requires is for you to believe that Jesus did it all for you. That's it!

I cannot warn you enough to RUN from today's corrupt Baptist churches (or any so-called church) that requires you to first be willing to forsake your sinful bad habits to get to Heaven. That is a works-based plan of salvation (damnation), not Bible salvation. For example: Here is a quote from their Statement of Faith at the Baptist Christian Church in Royal Center Indiana...
We believe that repentance is a change of mind and purpose toward God brought about by the Holy Spirit. Repentance is characterized by godly sorrow for sin which is offensive to God and destructive to the soul. True repentance is inseparably related to true faith causing one to purposely turn away from sin and move instead toward God as an act of faith. (Luke 13:1-3; Luke 15:7; Acts 8:22; Acts 20:21; Romans 2:4; 2 Corinthians 7:10) SOURCE
There are THREE major heresies in the preceding Statement of Faith:
  1. Repentance means a change of mind, period. Nowhere in the Bible do we learn that repentance also includes a change of purpose toward God. Wicked people added those extra words to God's Word (Proverbs 30:5-6).
  2. Nowhere does the inspired Word of God require someone feel sorry for their sins to get to Heaven. I triple-dog dare you to show me where the Bible says that! When the Apostle Paul mentioned godly sorrow in his second epistle to the church at Corinth he was addressing saved Christians, not the lost.
  3. Nowhere does the inspired Holy Bible teach that we must turn from our sins to get to Heaven. In sharp contrast, Jesus died on the cross to pay for our sins. He does not require that we be willing to forsake a lifestyle of sinning to be saved.
Do you see how bad churches today wrest the inspired Word of God, teaching false doctrines which poison men's souls and damn them to the Lake of Fire forever? Dear reader, you don't have to be willing to give up anything to be saved, Jesus gave up His life for you on the cross.

All you need to do to be saved is simply come to God by faith as a needy sinner. “By faith” I mean to just take God at His promises as recorded in the written Holy Bible. If you'll simply receive Christ's sacrifice on the cross as full payment for your sins, believing that Jesus died, was buried and physically resurrected three days later, you will be instantly and forever born again (saved). This is the Gospel as recorded in the Bible...
1st Corinthians 15:1-4, “Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:”
That is the official “Gospel,” which means, “Good News”:
  1. Jesus DIED for our sins on a cross
  2. Jesus was BURIED.
  3. Jesus RESURRECTED three days later.
If anybody SUBTRACTS or ADDS to the Gospel, he or she is preaching another Gospel. The only thing that you need to know to BELIEVE THE GOSPEL is why you need to be saved, which is because you and I are guilty sinners, and the penalty for our sins is eternal damnation in Hell's fire and brimstone (Romans 3:19-20; Revelation 20:11-15, 21:8).

NO ONE has ever been saved who refused to admit that he or she is a SINNER (1st John 1:8-10).

One of my favorite historical preachers was Pastor Harry Ironside (1876-1951), who made this excellent observation concerning the Gospel...
“The Gospel is not a call to repentance, or to amendment of our ways, to make restitution for past sins, or to promise to do better in the future. These things are proper in their place, but they do not constitute the Gospel; for the Gospel is not good advice to be obeyed, it is good news to be believed. Do not make the mistake then of thinking that the Gospel is a call to duty or a call to reformation, a call to better your condition, to behave yourself in a more perfect way than you have been doing in the past …

Nor is the Gospel a demand that you give up the world, that you give up your sins, that you break off bad habits, and try to cultivate good ones. You may do all these things, and yet never believe the Gospel and consequently never be saved at all.”

SOURCE: Harry A. Ironside, from the sermon: 'What Is The Gospel?'
Amen and amen! I encourage you to read Pastor Ironside's Gospel tract, 'What Is The Gospel?' Please don't allow any false prophet, who is really a wolf in pastor's clothing, to take you to Hell forever with himself. Jesus paid your debt of sin through Calvary's cross. He raised up from the dead and ascended into Heaven. Jesus sprinkled His literal liquid blood upon the heavenly Mercy Seat in the presence of His Father (Hebrews 9:12, 22-24; 12:24). All you have to do to be saved is to BELIEVE that Jesus did it all for you!

Faith is the only righteous thing that I can do. Salvation is not doing your best, it is having Christ's best put to your account through receiving Him by faith. Salvation is not a reward for the righteous, it is a gift for the guilty! Turning away from sinful ways would be a work. Faith puts all of the merit where it belongs, on the object of our faith, Jesus and His work. If to “repent” means to forsake our sinful ways TO BE SAVED, but Jesus already paid for our sins by dying on the cross, then what are we repenting from? The true Gospel always points you to CHRIST; a false gospel always points to YOU.

And remember, In Jonah 3:10 God repented, that is, He changed His mind not to destroy the people of Nineveh. If repentance means to turn from your sins, then how could God repent, since He is incapable of sinning? Tragically, many Baptist preachers (pastors and clergy) today are bold-faced theological LIARS! They are mere fools parroting and regurgitating the things that they've heard other fools saying, propagating the lies. This is why the inspired Word of God exhorts every believer to SEARCH THE SCRIPTURES (John 5:39; Acts 17:10-11), so that we may RIGHTLY DIVIDE the Word of Truth (2nd Timothy 2:15).

No one has ever turned from his or her sins. The very idea is preposterous! That is why Jesus Christ had to die on a cross to pay our massive debt of sin, so that we wouldn't have to burn in the fires of Hell forever to pay for our own sins. You may clean up your life superficially, so that you cleverly hide your sins from others (living above reproach), but God still sees your sins. No human being has ever achieved sinless perfection (Romans 3:10-23). Jesus was the only person who was completely without sin (Hebrews 4:15). Jesus is the sinless Lamb of God (John 1:29).

God freely offers the gift of eternal life to anyone who wants it. You need not give up anything to receive it. Just come to God as a needy sinner and take His gift by faith, by simply BELIEVING the Good News of Jesus crucified, buried and risen the third day. There is nothing else that you need to do, nor that you are allowed to do, to get to Heaven.
