A True Witness Delivereth Souls

Proverbs 14:25, “A true witness delivereth souls: but a deceitful witness speaketh lies.” Daniel 12:3, “And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.” 1st Corinthians 9:16, “For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!”

The dearest thing to the heart of God is soulwinning. Soulwinning is simply sharing with someone how you were saved, and trying to lead them to the Lord. Proverbs 11:30, “The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.” It is so easy to glance over Scripture and miss the golden nuggets of truth therein. God has used this humble writer since 2002 to witness the Gospel to millions of people with the truth. I am just the clay and God is the Potter. There is only one true and living God, Who has revealed Himself to the world in the beautiful man Jesus Christ (1st Timothy 3:16).

Humbly, I prayed as a young man earnestly for God to use me in some capacity. I worked my way through Hyles-Anderson College (1985-1993) by working as a truck mechanic. My soul was starving in hunger for God's presence. My life was surrounded with Bible preaching, which God used to shape my caring heart as a fundamentalist Bible preacher. My heart literally ached to be used of God. I used to pray in my car after work, with the heater going in five below zero temperatures, in the wee hour of the morning after midnight, begging God to use a sinner like me. I cried as I listened to Pan Pipes cassettes by Ralph Carmichael. I did that hundreds of times throughout my Bible college years. I believe my website ministry is the answer to that prayer. I give God ALL the credit and praise. Thousands of people have come to Jesus Christ as personal Savior through this needful ministry. It is my continued humble prayer that God would give me wisdom and strength to help others. I am just a crying voice in cyberspace, but I AM A VOICE!

The fruit of the righteous is a TREE OF LIFE. A tree bears fruit. A corrupt tree bears corrupt fruit. A good tree bears good fruit. Only a TRUE WITNESS can lead a lost sinner to Jesus Christ. Many false teachers today are preaching religion, but are not getting anyone saved. 2nd Timothy 3:5, “Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.” That “POWER” is the Gospel according to Romans 1:16, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.” Any Bible professor or preacher who

All of my ministry websites belong to the Lord. They are God's websites, not mine. The moment you and I got saved friend, we and everything that we own became God's (1st Corinthians 6:20). As a believer our life is hidden in Jesus Christ (Colossians 3:1-3). That is why Jesus said in Matthew 25:40 and 45 that whatever someone does (or doesn't do) to a believer, is equally as if done unto the Savior Himself. We are one with Christ (Galatians 3:26-29). Literally, Jesus says: “We're in this thing together!” 2nd Timothy 2:12, “If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:” (see also Revelation 20:6). What an awesome Savior!!!!!!!

The Bible says that a TRUE WITNESS delivereth souls. Delivers from what? From sin and Hell. I am listening to Alexander Scourby read the book of Proverbs today. Proverbs 26:8, “As he that bindeth a stone in a sling, so is he that giveth honour to a fool.” Colossians 1:13, “Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:” A man can only be delivered (rescued) with the Gospel. A true witness preaches a free grace Gospel, unadulterated with false theology. Sadly, the Devil has crept many false teachings into the churches today.

One of the biggest and most damning of these heresies is the lie that a person must repent “OF YOUR SINS” to receive God's free gift of eternal life. That phrase “OF YOUR SINS” is nowhere found in the King James Bible. Some of the Devil's corrupt Bible revisions have added these words, but the original Greek meaning of “repent” (metanoia) concerning salvation simply means “a change of mind.” Acts 20:21b speaks of “repentance toward God.” 2nd Timothy 2:25b speaks of repentance to the “repentance to the acknowledging of THE TRUTH...” There is no mention of forsaking a sinful lifestyle.

Proverbs 22:11, “He that loveth pureness of heart, for the grace of his lips the king shall be his friend.” Matthew 5:8, “Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.” Dear friend, I cannot emphasis enough the importance of having a pure heart. Being pure of heart simply means that you are real, sincere, care and want THE TRUTH. John 3:20-21, “For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.” Carefully notice that the opposite of running away from God (because of sin) is NOT turning from one's sins.

Please don't miss that. Thousands of corrupt preachers today are going around falsely saying that you must “turn away from your sin” to be saved, but that is not what the Bible says. We read in John 3:21 that the man who “DOETH TRUTH” cometh to the light. That is so precious and beautiful. Dear friend, you get saved by acknowledging THE TRUTH that you are a guilty sinner (Romans 3:19), believing THE TRUTH of the Gospel of Jesus Christ crucified on the cross, buried and risen the third day (1st Corinthians 15:1-6). Amen and amen!

Kindly said, when Evangelist Ray Comfort preaches Lordship Salvation, he never leads anyone to the Lord. How can he without the Gospel of free grace? Ray says you must live a lifestyle of turning away from sinful behavior to get to Heaven. Sadly, Dr. Steve Pettit (president of Bob Jones University since 2014) preaches the same damnable heresy!

Only a TRUE WITNESS can win a lost soul to Christ, because only the Gospel has the power to save. Proverbs 14:25, “A true witness delivereth souls: but a deceitful witness speaketh lies.” Oh how we need truth-telling preachers today!!! Proverbs 8:7a, “For my mouth shall speak truth.” Proverbs 16:19, “Better it is to be of an humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud.” I am nothing more than a clump of dirt that God loves and redeemed by the precious gift of His only begotten Son (John 3:16).
