Does A Person Need To Repent Of Their Sins To Be Saved?

The following was written by my friend Robert Serreyn...
QUESTION?: I have heard many preachers from different churches say that in order to be saved a person MUST repent of their sins. Is that true???

ANSWER...
  1. MUST REPENT... Yes in order for a person to be saved the individual has to repent. One thing a person needs to understand is that repentance and believing are one of the same coin, So therefore when a person Trust Christ as their only payment for their sins(believes the Gospel) that individual has repented.
  2. TO CLARIFY what was said above The word REPENT in the Greek when it is in reference to salvation is MENTANOIA which means A CHANGE OF MIND.
  3.  THE TRUTH... At the moment that a person TRUSTS CHRIST and places their faith in Christ Death, Burial, and Resurrection as the ONLY PAYMENT for their sins that person has REPENTED; or in other words CHANGED THEIR MIND from what they once thought or believed what took them to heaven to God's way of going to heaven.
  4. THE CONFUSION begins when churches, preachers, or missionaries place a FALSE DEFINITION (such as Turn from sin. Be sorry for your sins, et cetera), or do XYZ to get saved.
  5. God NEVER makes a person do anything or places any conditions in order to get saved.

 TO PUT IT SIMPLE...

God LOVES you... John 3:16

Jesus Christ DIED for your sins... Romans 5:8

Simply BELIEVE to be saved... Acts 16:31

1 Corinthians 15:1-4, "Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures."

Matthew 6:33 Says You Need God's Righteousness

Matthew 6:33-34, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.”

This is one of my very favorite passages of Scripture. Each time that I see a clock, I am reminded of familiar Bible passages. For example: When I see “9:11” I am reminded of Ecclesiastes 911, about time and chance happening to all. When I see “2:20” I am reminded of Galatians 2:20 that says Christ liveth in me. And when I see “6:33” I am reminded of Matthew 6:22, about seeking God's righteousness. What does that mean? Most preachers get the interpretation of this Bible verse very wrong. I love that the Bible has a built in dictionary and commentary, defining and explaining itself. Philippians 3:9, “And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:” I love that Bible verse!!!

If you want to go to Heaven dear reader, then you absolute must have God's imputed righteousness. The Greek word for “imputed” means “counted.”
Romans 4:4-7, “Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works, Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.”
The Greek word for “imputeth” in verse 6 is the SAME exact Greek word used for “counted” in verse 5. So we can use imputeth and counted interchangeably. God counts a man's faith in Jesus Christ for righteousness. In other words, you don't need any personal righteousness of your own to get to Heaven, and it is a good thing, because you and I have no righteousness to offer God. Isaiah 64:6, “But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.” Dear reader, Christ not only died for your sins, He died for your righteousness too! The reason why is because our human righteousness is filth to God. Christ died for all mankind, to pay for our sins.

It is rare to hear neo-evangelicals preach about the imputed righteousness of God. As I just showed you from Romans 4:4-7, a man's childlike faith in Christ is counted by God for righteousness. That is, God imputes His gift of righteousness to us in response to our faith in His only begotten Son (John 3:16). We are saved by HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS, not our own! Matthew 6:33, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”

You see dear friend, you don't have to turn away from your love of sin to get to Heaven, or quit your sinful bad habits, you must be totally 100% absolutely PERFECT! Obviously no human being has ever done that except Jesus, who didn't have a human father. God Himself was Jesus' biological Father. Jesus was born into the world by a supernatural virgin birth, which is the only time such a divine miracle has happened, or ever will happen, in the history of human civilization. Luke 1:35, “And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God. There has only been one virgin birth in history, Jesus.

Please understand that the Roman Catholic church is a religious and theological cult. Catholics are errantly taught that Mary, Jesus' mother, was born without original sin from her conception. First of all, the term “original sin” is not even found in the Bible, it is a wicked fabrication of Roman Catholicism. Second, Mary was a guilty sinner just like you, me and everyone else. Mary was a needy sinner, so she needed to put her trust in Jesus as her personal Savior too, or else she absolutely would have went to burn in Hell day and night forever, without rest or hope. Luke 1:46, “And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour. Mary called her own biological child, Jesus, my Saviour.

Dear friend, there is no salvation in the Roman or Russian Orthodox Catholic Churches! Matthew 5:20, “For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.” There's not a dime's difference between Russian and Roman Catholicism! Both branches of the cult require Sacramental Salvation to get to Heaven, which is 100% unbiblical. You won't even find the term “sacrament” in the Holy Bible. It is manmade tradition.

Mark 7:9, “And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition. That perfectly describes the Roman Catholic cult. It also perfectly describes the deadly cult at Bob Jones University (BJU) today, who are the fountainhead of the corrupt Brooke Westcott and Fenton Hort Greek text, upon which the Devil's modern Bible revisions are all based and influenced. In fact, the Jehovah's Witness' cult, who strongly deny the deity of Jesus, were one of the first groups to embrace the corrupt Greek of Westcott and Hort, because that text brutally attacks the deity of Jesus and the Godhead (aka, Trinity). The modern Bible perversions have been translated from the SAME corrupt Greek text of Westcott and Hort as the JW's New World Translation (NWT).

Dear reader, I cannot warn you enough to RUN away from the modern Bible revisions. They may seem easier to understand, and in many cases will be because of the updated English; however, Satan has cleverly managed to undermine all of the modern versions by attacking Jesus' deity, obliterating the Godhead, corrupting what it means to repent to be saved, et cetera. The modern Bible revisions are deadly! In such cases that the Word of God has been changed, corrupted and turned into a lie, they may seem easier to understand when in fact they are now IMPOSSIBLE to understand, because the truth has been compromised and corrupted into a lie. For example: Look what the Easy-To-Read Version (ERV) has done to pervert Mark 1:15. Although seemingly easy to understand, it is not longer THE TRUTH. So in reality the Bible has become IMPOSSIBLE to grasp and understand, because it is a lie. The Devil is a beautiful liar!

Dear reader, you need God's righteousness to go to Heaven. Thankfully, it is very easy and free to obtain God's righteousness. Romans 10:3-4, “For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth. The moment that you place your trust (i.e., confidence, faith, reliance) in the Good News (Gospel) of Jesus Christ crucified on a cross, buried and bodily resurrected from the dead three days later, you are immediately and forever born-again. What saith the Scripture? ...
1st Corinthians 15:1-4, “Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:”
There you have it, THE GOSPEL. I didn't see anything in their about giving up your sinful bad habits? Did you? No, you didn't either. Nor did I see anything in that Scripture passage about getting water baptized, surrendering one's life to serve Christ, counting the cost and paying the price, living a lifestyle of repentance, inviting Jesus into your life, following Christ, making Jesus the “Lord“” of your life, running the Christian race faithfully, changing your life, publicly confessing the name of Jesus, nor anything else. Boy, I'm out of breath...lol. Seriously, the Apostle Paul was given this Gospel directly from Jesus Christ Himself. Galatians 1:11-12, “But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.” Amen and amen!

The counterfeit gospel of "Lordship Salvation" is being preached today is after man, not Jesus Christ! Here is a wonderful sermon by my ministry friend, Pastor Ralph Yankee Arnold, teaching us why Lordship Salvation is NOT the Gospel...

Why Lordship Salvation IS Wrong!

The true Gospel always points you to CHRIST; a false gospel always points to YOU.

Salvation is not a reward for the righteous, it is a gift for the guilty!

Salvation is not doing your best, it is having Christ's best put to your account through receiving Him by faith.

Turning away from sinful ways would be a work. Faith puts all of the merit where it belongs, on the object of our faith, Jesus and His work.

If to “repent” means to forsake our sinful ways TO BE SAVED, but Jesus already paid for our sins by dying on the cross, then what are we repenting from?

We must stay true to the simplicity of the Gospel!! Repentance regarding salvation is a change of mind from unbelief to belief!!! We must earnestly contend for the faith (Jude 1:3).

Faith is the only righteous thing that I can do.

So please be on guard against today's plethora of hellbound false prophets, who will come to you disguised as preachers in sheep's clothing, teaching that YOU must forsake YOUR sinful past ways, and YOU must surrender all to Christ as Lord, and YOU must live a changed life from now on, hating YOUR sins. Do you see that their false plan of salvation always focuses on what YOU must do?

Dear reader, you don't have to turn away from your sinful ways to get into Heaven when you die, you must be totally sinless and perfect in every way! We know that this is IMPOSSIBLE! All humans are sinners by nature and by choice. If you are looking for a big sinners to condemn, you've found him! I am a big hell-deserving, guilty sinner. I shamefully, but honestly, admit it. And so are you dear friend, whether you want to admit it or not (1st John 1:8-10).

You are more of a rotten sinner than you could ever imagine, because you and I are not as righteous as our holy Creator. God is incapable of sinning. James 1:13, Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:” If you ever meet someone who denies being a sinner, you know right away that they are NOT a born-again child of God. Jesus is the Great Physician who came into the world to save THE SICK, not the haughty SELF-RIGHTEOUS crowd. Mark 2:17, “When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”

The GOOD NEWS (or "GLAD TIDINGS" in Romans 10:15) is that Jesus has already made full payment for all of your sins. God sacrificed His only begotten Son on a cruel splintered cross, who suffered a bloody and horrific criminals death, who was innocent and had no guilt of His own. What a beautiful Savior! Jesus with joy in His soul, and excruciating pain in His body, endured the suffering of dying on the cross, because God would rather die than to live for eternity without you dear friend. The Lord did that FOR YOU! I am starting to cry just typing these words, truly. What a precious Savior we have. Oh how He loves you and me dear sinner.

You CAN become 100% totally righteous, but not of your own accord or human effort. JESUS CHRIST has paid your debt of sin. He who knew no sin, became as sin; so that we who knew no righteousness, could be made the righteousness of God in Christ (2nd Corinthians 5:21). It is God's free gift to you dear friend, just for the taking. Just believe the record concerning Jesus Christ which God has provided to humanity His inspired Word. God counts (imputes) a man's faith for righteousness (Romans 4:5-7). That is only possible because Jesus died on the cross, and through Christ's sacrifice on the cross God is offering eternal life to whosoever wants it through faith in His only begotten Son (John 3:16).

God's free and simple plan of salvation is something entirely different, in which CHRIST paid for our sins through Calvary's cross. CHRIST shed His precious blood to wash away our sins forever. It was CHRIST alone who paid our debt of sin, and not anything that we could ever do that gets us into the Kingdom of God and Heaven! Praise the Lord! Hallelujah!!! Remember, the true Gospel always points you to CHRIST; a false gospel always points to YOU.

There are only two types of religion in the world: DO and DONE. You either believe that YOU must DO something to get to Heaven (e.g., turn from your sins, surrender all to Christ as Lord, follow Jesus, live a lifestyle of repentance, do good works, et cetera); or else you believe that Christ has already DONE it all for you on the cross. I'm in the DONE boat with Jesus, how about you dear friend? God only saves those who are trusting to be saved, He doesn't save anyone who is trying to be saved. Salvation is received, not achieved. Do you have God imputed righteousness, which is by God's grace through faith alone in Jesus alone?

Six Perverted Gospels

Galatians 1:7 “Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.”

The following excellent article was authored by Evangelist Allen Domelle...
A Perverted Gospel
Paul was amazed that the Galatian church was so quick to receive another gospel. These believers accepted the true Gospel to get saved, but they allowed the Gospel to be perverted by “smart” people who were smarter than God because what these “smart” people said was the Gospel was not the Gospel.

Paul said to them, “… there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.” The word “pervert” means twisted, distorted, misconstrued, and corrupted. In other words, they twisted the Gospel just a bit, but twisting the Gospel always makes it a false gospel. The Gospel doesn't need to be twisted or distorted to make it work; it is powerful enough the way God gave it to us to save any sinner.

Sadly, the same battle that Paul fought we still fight today. There are some who are considered “smart” people who pervert the gospel of Christ. The “smart” people are pretty dumb to think that their gospel is better than God’s. Always remember that the gospel of the “smart” people will send a person to Hell, but the Gospel of Christ will always take a person to Heaven. Let me point out to you several perverted gospels of which you must beware.

First, beware of a bloodless gospel. There are some who say only the death is necessary, but God says that the blood is needed for an atonement for our sin. A bloodless gospel is a dead gospel that will not pay for one sin.

Second, beware of a works gospel. There is no work that will ever pay for your sins. You can try to be good, but the problem is that you are still a sinner. You cannot work yourself to Heaven because Christ’s sacrificial death is the finished work and the only work needed for salvation.

Third, beware of a baptism gospel. Baptism has not saved one person. Just because you are baptized does not make you saved. You can get baptized many times, but every time you will come out of the water a sinner on your way to Hell. The waters of the baptismal have never paid for one sin and will never pay for anyone’s sin.

Fourth, beware of a selective gospel. There are some that say only certain people will get saved. The Gospel of Christ says that “whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13) 2 Peter 3:9 says that the Lord is “not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” A gospel that says that only someone is selected before they are born to get saved is a perverted gospel.

Fifth, beware of a conditional gospel. The conditional gospel says you accept Christ as your Saviour, but you can lose it if you don’t work to keep your salvation. Let me remind you that the Gospel of Christ not only saves you, but it keeps you until you get to Heaven.

Sixth, beware of a difficult gospel. There are some who want to make it so difficult for a person to get saved that they never lead a person to Christ. My friend, the hard part of the Gospel was done on Calvary, but the easy part is up to the sinner to simply trust Christ. Let’s be careful about making the Gospel difficult and let the power of the Gospel save those who trust Christ and call on Him to save them. SOURCE

Get Busy Laying Up Heavenly Treasures

Matthew 6:19-20, “Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.”

Hebrews 6:10, “For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.”

Dear reader, there is nothing more exciting to me as a child of God, than to know that I am amassing treasures up in Heaven. In his intriguing book titled: "Justice," Dr. Jack Hyles says:
“I am glad that when I do something to lose a reward, there is something I can do to earn it back. That is what justice is really all about. Justice is equaling the punishment to the crime, but it is also equaling the reward to the good works.” —Pastor Jack Hyles, Justice; chapter 25, “The Positive Side Of Justice
I love what Brother Hyles said. I often think of this truth. We are all guilty sinners! No human being has ever achieved sinless perfection, except Jesus Christ who never sinned even once (Hebrews 4:15-16). I used to think to myself, “Why in the world would God give me any rewards, when I have made so many bad, sinful and unwise choices in my life?” But Pastor Hyles chapter in his book about the positive side of justice helped me understand that God doesn't just look at the bad, like humans do, He looks at the whole big picture. Proverbs 15:3, “The eyes of the LORD are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.”

We all have a certain number of days here upon the earth. I don't know about you, but I want to use my time wisely for the Kingdom of Heaven's sake. I get encouraged by what God said in
Hebrews 6:10, For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister. God promises to reward us as believers for our good works, labors and effort spent for Jesus' sake and the Gospel's.

I love what Jesus said in Mark 9:41, “For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward. Our dear Savior and Lord is so ethical, that He promises to reward even a helper, someone who helps another person who is a disciple of Christ. Even if we give a cup of water to someone who is serving Jesus, God will reward us for doing that. That means God will reward you for volunteering to help out around the local church. If you mow the church lawn, the Lord promises to reward you.

Albeit, these arrogant big name neo-evangelical pastors today, like Jeff Redlin at Pensacola Christian College's Campus Church, who gets paid well over $100,000 per year, already has his reward. I have never made a single penny since 2002 when I began my website ministry. I have spent at least 50,000 hours diligently laboring over the past 20 years for Jesus Christ. Whereas opportunistic clergy like Jeff Redlin only work 8 hours and then go home, I often labor 12 to 16 hours per day on my website ministry. On umpteen occasions I have worked through day and night, on a labor of love marathon, not wanting to lose my momentum. My record is working straight through for 37 hours. I enjoyed every minute of it, by faith fighting the good fight of faith.

And yet, for all my earnest labors for Christ, nearly every pastor I meet expresses contempt for my website ministry. When I came to Campus Church in July of 2021, Pastor Jeff Redlin shamefully falsely accused me of finding weaknesses in preachers. His rude and insensitive remarks hurt my heart, because I knew that he was wrong. THE TRUTH is that I am faithfully contending for the faith, as the Bible commands in Titus 1:13-14, “This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith; Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth.”

Since 2014, I have been sharply rebuking the pastors at the shameful Harvest Baptist Church on Guam. Harvest's pastors are Bob Jones University alumni, who preach the Devil's lie of Lordship Salvation. They promote the Devil's modern corrupt Bibles. They preach a false understanding of Bible repentance concerning salvation:
Dear reader, RIGHT DOCTRINE MATTERS!!!

There is a foolish notion circulating in many churches today that says it is wise not to speak against doctrinal error. The Devil's lie suggests that we cannot reach people for Christ if we offend them with THE TRUTH. That is why Joel Osteen said on national TV that Mormons are true Christians, because he is bought and paid for by the Devil. Joel is so afraid of making enemies that he dare not speak the truth, lest he upset some people. THE TRUTH is that Mormonism is a deadly religious cult, that is rooted in sexual perversion and false doctrine. Mormons deny the deity of Jesus, that He is almighty God. Instead, Mormons claim that Jesus ascended to become godlike, which every Mormons is encourage to do. Mormons also perversely require water baptism to get to Heaven. This is the heresy of Baptismal Regeneration. Kindly said, Mormons are NOT true Christians. They are hellbound in their false religion and unbelief. The Apostle Paul warned about such false prophets:
2nd Corinthians 4:3-4, “But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.”
2nd Corinthians 11:3-4, “But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.”
Sadly, Mormonism has another Jesus, another gospel and another spirit (which is NOT the Holy Spirit of God). Mormonism is a false religion!!! Yet, Joel Osteen tells the world that they are true born-again believers. In so doing, Pastor Osteen has the blood of millions of Mormons upon his hands, for comforting them in their unregenerate state. I quoted to you earlier Titus 1:13-14, which exhorts Christians to REBUKE THEM SHAEPLY who propagate a counterfeit gospel which cannot produce the new birth. Jesus exclaimed in John 3:3b, “Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Getting born-again is not optional if you want to enter into Heaven someday! Satan's greatest weapon is to con people into living the Christian life without ever being born-again!!! That is the sad situation in 98% of America's churches today. They have churchianity without Christianity!

You Must Be Born-Again To Receive Rewards In Heaven

Dear friend, I encourage you to get busy laying up treasures in Heaven. I speak to the saints, of course. If you are not a born-again child of God, then the Lord will not honor your good works and labors for Christ. Here is Scriptural proof of what I say:
Matthew 7:21-23, “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”
That is what the prophet Ezekiel meant in the following passage from the Old Testament:
Ezekiel 33:13, “When I shall say to the righteous, that he shall surely live; if he trust to his own righteousness, and commit iniquity, all his righteousnesses shall not be remembered; but for his iniquity that he hath committed, he shall die for it.”
Those wicked false prophets in Matthew 7:21-23 were trusting in THEIR OWN RIGHTEOUSNESS, instead of solely resting in Christ alone:
Romans 10:3-4, “For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.”

Philippians 3:9, “And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:”
The religious Jews in Romans 10:3-4 were caught up on the Old Testament law. God had given the law to His people through Moses, with the intention that the law be used as a measuring stick, by which when compared, men fall short and see their need for Christ (Romans 3:19-20; Galatians 3:24-26). But the Jews misunderstood the purpose of God's law, thinking instead that to get to Heaven they needed to keep the law. But since no one is perfect (i.e., sinless), Paul knew that it was IMPOSSIBLE for anyone to get to Heaven through keeping the law. This is why Paul said in Romans 2:13, “(For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified. Paul told the Jews that in order to get to Heaven by keeping the law, you had to do more than just hear it spoken, you had to keep it 100% perfectly your entire life! No one has ever done, nor ever will do that.

If you do not know for 100% certain that you are going to Heaven dear reader, you CAN know that. If that is you, please read: "I Never Knew You" by Michael P. Bowen, which is a wonderful Gospel tract in book format. I have never liked Gospel tracts, because they are so vague, lacking information and really don't get the Gospel across. If you know of a loved one who is not prepared to enter into eternity, I highly recommend giving them this book as a gift, which you can get on the Amazon.com website.
Most people think the opposite of Scripture! Most people think that where your heart is, your treasure will then follow. But the Bible teaches that where our treasure is, our heart will follow. I love that! There is a very important lesson to be learned here. If you lack feeling in any area of your life, invest in it and the feelings will follow. If you don't feel love for your spouse, start praying for them. Start investing in them with your time, your attention, doing nice things for them, and in time the feelings will come. The Bible says that where our TREASURE is, there will be our HEART also. I have labored day and night since 2002, when God spoke to my soul to start a website to preach THE TRUTH. I have invested tens of thousands of hours, but have never tried to keep track of my time, because God knows all my humble labors. Hebrews 6:10, “For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.”

This is just a brief blog article, to tantalize your thoughts, and not intended to be comprehensive. I have written a book on my ministry website called: 'Rewards In Heaven,' if you would like to read further. If you are not saved, please get saved now friend, before it is too late. Death often comes without notice (Proverbs 27:1). Here is a wonderful MP3 sermon by Pastor Ralph Yankee Arnold titled: "Are You Sure You Are Saved?"

Jesus Doesn't Forgive Sin, He Already Paid For It

1st Peter 1:18-19, “Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:”

Jesus doesn't forgive sin. That is correct! Jesus has already paid for everyone's sins with His precious blood. That is why forgiveness of sins is a free gift, since Christ has already paid for it. So to be saved, you simply need to freely receive God's gift.

One of the most deadly false prophets today is Evangelist Ray Comfort, who actually uses the phrase “LIVING A LIFESTYLE” while witnessing to a woman on an airplane. In the following YouTube video clip, look at the BIG LIE Evangelist Ray Comfort tells this poor deceived woman passenger on an airplane. Kindly, Ray says that “repentance” means “LIVING A LIFESTYLE THAT PROVES THE REALITY OF YOUR REPENTANCE!” And then he adds, “IT'S A CONTINUAL THING!” Read for yourself what Mr. Comfort horribly teaches this woman, in this transcript from the Living Waters video:
“So if the plane goes down, you'd end up in Hell! There are two things you have to do to be saved. Do you remember what they are? I told you what they are—You've got to repent and trust the Savior! ... God's offering you everlasting life upon your repentance and faith in Christ. Who in his right mind wouldn't say, 'Whoa! That's a good offer!' (The curious woman asks what it means to “repent”?)... Have you ever said you're sorry to someone you did something wrong to? That's all repentance is—You've sinned against God; it's a matter of saying, 'God, I'm sorry,' and then LIVING A LIFESTYLE that proves the reality of your repentance. That's what repentance is, it's a continual thing! God, 'I'm sorry, but I'm not going going to lie or steal or blaspheme Your name ever again. It has that attitude! And the second thing—trust in Jesus!” [emphasis added] ~Evangelist Ray Comfort, “I've never killed anyone” (MP3 clip from video).
Dear reader, I triple-dog dare you to show me even one verse from the Holy Bible that teaches that “LIVING A LIFESTYLE” is required as part of being saved. You cannot! Now my friend, “a double-dog dare” is serious business, but a triple-dog dare is something you don't want to mess around with! I triple-dog dare you to show me even one Bible verse that agrees with these false statements by Ray Comfort.

The Gospel of John is God's Gospel track. John 20:31, “But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.” PLEASE DON'T MISS THAT! God authored the Gospel of John specifically so “that believing ye might have life through his name.” That means we don't need any other Scripture than what is found in the Gospel of John to be saved. Where in the Gospel of John are we taught that, “LIVING A LIFESTYLE,” is necessary to receive eternal life? You cannot! Mr. Comfort is a bold-faced theological liar! Ray is ADDING to the Gospel, perverting it! This means Mr. Comfort is accursed by God. Galatians 1:9, “As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.” I didn't say that, almighty God did!

What Ray Comfort is teaching is a strange doctrine of works, human effort, which simply cannot produce the new birth. Satan's greatest weapon is to con people into living the Christian life without ever being born-again. That is exactly what Ray Comfort is doing!

Ray says to get saved you have to do “TWO THINGS”! In God's authentic plan of salvation, there is only ONE THING that you need to do, which is to BELIEVE THE GOSPEL! That is all we are told to do in the precious Gospel of John, nothing more. The Gospel is the GOOD NEWS of Jesus, the only begotten Son of God, the promised Messiah, Who gave His life on the cross to pay for our sins. Christ DIED for our sins, He was BURIED, and then He RESURRECTED on the third day from the dead for our justification. Those three elements comprise the Gospel:
1st Corinthians 15:1-4, “Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures..”

I am so glad and grateful that God made the GOSPEL very plain to see! Foolish men, like Ray Comfort and John MacArthur, have been blinded by Satan to add manmade religion to the Gospel and pervert the grace of God.

Yes, it is true, Jesus doesn't forgive sin. Christ has already paid for our sins with His precious blood, which he sprinkled on the heavenly Mercy Seat (Hebrews 9:12, 22-24; 12:24). Eternal life is a free gift which God offers to anyone who wants it. Simply receive it by faith, by taking God at His Word as recorded in the Holy Bible. Just receive Christ's sacrifice on the cross by faith, believing that He died in your place on the cross, was buried and three days later Jesus bodily resurrected from the dead for our justification (i.e., when Christ raised up from the dead our faith was validated in Him). So you don't need to ask Jesus to save you, He is already freely offering you eternal life, and all you need to do is take it by faith. John 6:47, Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.

The Samaritan Woman Became An Instant Soulwinner

John 4:7-15, “There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink. (For his disciples were gone away unto the city to buy meat.) Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans. Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water. The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water? Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle? Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. The woman saith unto him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come hither to draw.”

John 4:39-42, “And many of the Samaritans of that city believed on him for the saying of the woman, which testified, He told me all that ever I did. So when the Samaritans were come unto him, they besought him that he would tarry with them: and he abode there two days. And many more believed because of his own word; And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world.”

I love this precious true story in John chapter four. The Samaritans were half-bred Jews, literally. In the Old Testament, the country of Assyria (which was a world power at the time) invaded the northern kingdom of Israel. The capital of northern Israel was Samaria, but in the southern kingdom of Israel the capital was Judah. Northern Israel was conquered in 722 BC (southern Israel was conquered by Babylon 136 years later in 586 BC). After the Assyrians conquered Samaria in the north, they took the Jews captive to Assyria. Soon thereafter, the king of Assyria decided to send both Assyrians and Jews back to northern Israel to inhabit the conquered land. Those Jews intermarried with the captives from multiple other nations and became known as the Samaritan people.

Jesus greatly loved the Samaritan people, even though Jews avoided associating with the Samaritans, because the Samaritans were not pure ethnic Jews, Christ went to them with the Gospel. John 4:4, “And he must needs go through Samaria.” When Jesus approached the Samaritan woman at Jacob's Well in John chapter four, she was awestruck that a Jewish man would even take the time to speak with her. When she found out that He is the Messiah, the Bible says that she left her waterpot. Her mind was blown! John 4:28-29 “The woman then left her waterpot, and went her way into the city, and saith to the men, Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ?” I commend this Samaritan woman, who greatly wanted her own people to hear the Messiah, so they could be saved too.

I love this true story. When the Samaritan woman at Jacob's Well realized that she was speaking with the promised Messiah, the Bible says she left her waterpot and ran to tell her own people about Christ. She wanted them to get saved too! They got saved the very moment that they BELIEVED on the name of Jesus. John 4:42, “Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world.” I love that! They exclaimed in joy—[WE] KNOW THIS IS INDEED THE CHRIST, THE SAVIOUR OF THE WORLD!!! Amen and amen.

Dear reader, that is all God requires to get to Heaven, just put your trust (confidence) in the crucified, buried and risen Savior of the world. 1st Thessalonians 4:14, “For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.” That's it! Simply BELIEVE the Gospel (i.e., the Good News), and you are saved!

I have heard numerous Christian believers tell me that they don't know how to go soulwinning. It is so simple dear friend. If you know how you got saved, then you can tell someone else too. You don't need to become a theologian to win people to Christ, you just need to tell them how you got saved. Sadly, I have found that the reason why so many churchgoers don't know how to win someone to Christ, is because they don't even know how they got saved, which can only mean that they aren't really saved. No one is saved who doesn't know how they got saved!

I got saved when I was 13 years old. It was a Sunday morning during the summer. I don't remember the month or even the year, but my best guess is that it was in 1980, when I was 13 years old. I do however, vividly remember that Sunday morning, and the place where I was sitting in the pew in back of the church. I don't remember the title of the sermon, or even the subject that it was about. All I do remember is that the preacher said if you can sin, and there is no Holy Spirit conviction in your soul about the sin in your life, you are not saved. I instantly felt conviction, knowing that I didn't have the Holy Spirit. I had never been truly born again.

When I was in kindergarten, at age 7 (I actually did fail first grade. I am not kidding. That was in a public school. So my parents enrolled me into a Christian school, which decided it was best for me to go back and finish kindergarten, and learn my ABC's). It was in kindergarten in the Christian school, that my teacher asked everyone if we wanted to be saved. So I raised my hand and she led the class in a “1-2-3, Follow Me,” type of prayer. In hindsight, I didn't get saved that day. There was no conviction about me being a guilty sinner in God's sight. There was no awareness of why Jesus died for me, and what it meant. My parents had me water baptized in the weeks to follow. I had no idea what was going on spiritually.

It wasn't until I was in grade school, at age 13, that I finally felt God's Holy Spirit convicting me that I was a needy sinner. I was afraid of going to Hell, which is a perfectly fine reason to get saved. I once heard Paris Reidhead (1919-1992), an international missionary, teach on the KHMG 88.1 FM radio station of the corrupt Harvest Baptist Church on Guam, that if the only reason you got saved was to escape Hell, you didn't really get saved. Kindly said, Paris Reidhead is a damnable false prophet, who sadly very likely went to Hell when he died.

According to Paris Reidhead's corrupt theology, you can only get saved if you literally turn away from your sinful behavior and reform. That is NOT the free grace Gospel. I heard Pastor Jack Hyles (1926-2001) say that as an 11 year old boy he got saved because he was fearful of going to Hell. There is absolutely nothing wrong with coming to Jesus Christ to be saved to escape burning in the fires and torments of Hell forever! If more clergy would preach on the subject of eternal damnation in the fires of Hell, a lot more lost sinners would get saved. The average Baptist pastor doesn't preach on the subject of Hell once a year. I say that to their utter shame!

Life is short, Hell is hot, and eternity is a long time!

God's Simple Plan Of Salvation

2nd Corinthians 11:1-4, “Would to God ye could bear with me a little in my folly: and indeed bear with me. For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.”

Since the beginning of human civilization, the Devil has tried to tempt humans to disobey God. The Devil's name is Satan, who fell from his lofty position as one of God's archangels in Heaven. In Ezekiel 28:11-17 we find what is called in theology, “Double Fulfillment.” That is, this passage of Scripture has two parallel applications. Although Ezekiel 28:11-17 is speaking about the king of Tyrus, it also describes Lucifer and his fall from glory. We see another example of Double Fulfillment in Hebrews chapter 7, which speaks of Melchisedec. This passage is also clearly about the precious Lord Jesus Christ, who is without beginning or end, the King of Righteousness (Hebrews 7:1-4).

Lucifer became Satan, a malicious spirit being who labors night and day to kill, steal and destroy. As such, the Devil desires for for and everyone else to go to Hell forever. Satan's greatest weapon is to con people into living the Christian life without ever being born-again. Sadly, it is rare nowadays to hear preachers even use the term “born-again.” What saith the Scripture? John 3:3, “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

So how do you get born again? What does that even mean? Well, the Bible says that when Adam sinned in the Garden of Eden, death passed upon all men. Romans 5:12, “
Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law. Every human being born into this world since Adam, has been born with an inherent sinful nature. It is a part of who we are as humans. Children do not need to be taught how to lie, cheat and do wrong; they need to be trained up to tell the truth, be honest and to always do what is right.

Because of our sins, there is a penalty, which according to the Bible is death. Romans 6:23, “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Carefully notice the contrast in Romans 6:23, between the deadly wages of sin that we deserve, versus the free gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. No one needs to go to Hell forever. God desires for all men, even the worst of criminals, to repent of their unbelief and come to Jesus Christ in faith to be saved (2nd Peter 3:6).

Also, please understand that there is a difference between being spiritually dead versus the second death in the Lake of Fire. Every human being is born spiritually dead (Ephesians 2:1-2). But only Christ-rejecters are case into the everlasting Lake of Fire (Hell). Those sinners who never trust Christ as their Savior will perish in their unregenerated state. They were born spiritually dead into this world, and they will die spiritually dead. That is why everyone must be “born again,” it is not optional if you want to enter into the Kingdom of God.

You would be shocked friend, if in the Baptist church that you hopefully attend, you start asking the people around you if they know for certain they're going to Heaven. Ask them why they know. You will be shocked, as I was, to learn that at least half of them haven't a clue. I'm not kidding. I know a good elderly man, who has been an usher in a local Baptist church in Pensacola for the past five years, but when I witnessed to him, he told me that water baptism is necessary to go to Heaven. That is his pastor's fault for not feeding his congregation.

In that dear man's church, the pastor is always telling everyone that they must have “a relationship with Christ to get to Heaven. What does that even mean? Judas had a relationship with Jesus, but John 6:70 says Judas had a devil in him. Judas died in his sins because of unbelief, and is sadly burning in Hell forever. The unsaved wicked Pharisees also had a relationship with Jesus, but perished in their sin of unbelief. I am so thankful that I know I am a born-again child of God. If you don't know that friend, you can and should KNOW beyond any shadow of a doubt (1st John 5:13).

Salvation is solely based on what Christ has already DONE for you through Calvary's cross, and the blood which He sprinkled on the Mercy Seat in Heaven (Hebrews 9:12, 22-24; 12:24). So many churchgoers have been lied to, misled by their heathen pastor to think that they are saved by partial faith in Christ, PLUS something else (repenting of sin, following Christ as Lord, living the Christian life, et cetera). I tell you that there is no plus anything in God's simple plan of redemption. You simply CEASE from your own false religious dead works (i.e., trusting in Roman Catholicism, good works, Mother Mary, the Pope, Mormonism, Hara Krishna, religion, sacraments, et cetera), and come to God as a needy guilty sinner, completely RESTING in the finished redemptive work of Jesus Christ (Hebrews 4:10-11). That is what repentance is, a change of mind, turning from your UNBELIEF to BELIEF in Jesus as the Christ, the only begotten Son of God. When the Roman jailer asked Paul and Silas the $64,000 question: “What must I do to be saved?,” the answer was a simple: “BELIEVE ON THE LORD JESUS CHRIST” (Acts 16:30-31).

It is important that you understand what you are being saved from. That is why I took the time to explain these things to you friend. It is not enough to merely believe the Good News of Jesus Christ crucified, buried and risen to get to Heaven; you absolutely must realize and admit to yourself and God that YOU ARE A GUILTY SINNER:
Romans 3:18-20, “There is no fear of God before their eyes. Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.”
God made two great divisions to His inspired Word: Old Testament and New Testaments (or respectively, LAW and CHRIST). Galatians 3:24-26, “Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. God's Old Testament law (which is summed up in the Ten Commandments) was intended by God to be used as a measuring-stick, by which when compared humans fall short of being sinless and perfect. Thus, realizing our shortcomings to perfectly keep God's law, we then realize our need for the blessed Savior, Jesus. That is what Galatians 3:24-26 is teaching.

This should make it obvious to you then, dear reader, why it is so wrong for any preacher to falsely teach that you must turn away from your sinful ways to be saved. Evangelist Ken Ham preaches this damnable heresy! Forsaking your sinful ways was never the intended purpose of God's law. Does God want you to turn away from a deliberate lifestyle of sinning? Yes, of course, but that has absolutely nothing to do with receiving His free gift of eternal life. You must keep living the Christian life (which is our SERVICE for Christ, or sanctification); completely separate from getting born-again (which is SALVATION in Christ, or justification.

Pilgrim's Progress book author John Bunyan (1628-1688) well understood this very important distinction, as a free grace preacher of the saving Gospel:
“If you do not put a difference between justification wrought by the man Christ without and sanctification wrought by the Spirit of Christ within, you are not able to divide the Word aright; but contrariwise, you corrupt the Word of God, and cast stumbling blocks before the people.” —Evangelist John Bunyan
Also, Pastor M.R. DeHaan (1891-1965) had a very good understanding of this important distinction between sanctification and justification:
“There is a vast difference between coming to Jesus for salvation and coming after Jesus for service. Coming to Christ makes one a believer, while coming after Christ makes one a disciple. All believers are not disciples. To become a believer one accepts the invitation of the Gospel, to be a disciple one obeys the challenge to a life of dedicated service and separation. Salvation comes through the sacrifice of Christ; discipleship comes only by sacrifice of self and surrender to His call for devoted service. Salvation is free, but discipleship involves paying the price of a separated walk. Salvation can't be lost because it depends upon God's faithfulness, but discipleship can be lost because it depends upon our faithfulness.” Pastor M.R. DeHaan, Hebrews. Zondervan Publishing House, 1959 (p. 117)
I hope you can now see dear reader why it is so very, very, very important to always keep getting saved completely separate from changes in our behavior, serving Christ, following Him as “Lord of our life, turning away from our sinful ways, repenting of sin, running the Christian race faithfully, taking up our cross, giving up the old ways, surrendering all to Christ, counting the cost and paying the price, forsaking a lifestyle of sinning, living a lifestyle of repentance, et cetera, et cetera.

All of the preceding vain things have been wickedly added to the Gospel by today's corrupt neo-evangelical pastors, evangelists and Bible college professors. You may do all of these noble things and yet never have been saved at all. You don't get born-again by doing good works. You don't get born-again through the sacrament of water baptism. Sacraments” are totally unbiblical and you ought never give any attention to such nonsense. The Bible teaches water baptism as a public profession of one's faith, but it is a command for BELIEVERS only, not a sacrament of any church. Likewise, the Lord's Supper is a command from God only for BELIEVERS, a time to remember what Jesus has done for on through Calvary's cruel cross. Please do not ever think, refer or partake of any sacraments, because they are unbiblical. There is no spiritual grace or power bestowed upon the recipient of water baptism or the communion. Beware of formal religion that corrupts the truth of God's inspired Word.

I love this helpful quote from Pastor Harry A. Ironside (1876-1951), which shows that Dr. Ironside had a very sound understanding that our service, sanctification and discipleship as Christian believers, has absolutely nothing to do with receiving God's free gift of eternal life by faith alone in Jesus Christ:
“The Gospel is not a call to repentance, or to amendment of our ways, to make restitution for past sins, or to promise to do better in the future. These things are proper in their place, but they do not constitute the Gospel; for the Gospel is not good advice to be obeyed, it is good news to be believed. Do not make the mistake then of thinking that the Gospel is a call to duty or a call to reformation, a call to better your condition, to behave yourself in a more perfect way than you have been doing in the past …

Nor is the Gospel a demand that you give up the world, that you give up your sins, that you break off bad habits, and try to cultivate good ones. You may do all these things, and yet never believe the Gospel and consequently never be saved at all.”

One of my favorite authors is Michael P. Bowen. In his excellent defense of the Christian faith titled, 'I NEVER KNEW YOU,' Michael Bowen writes these wonderful words:
I am at eternal odds with the false, counterfeit messages of salvation-by-works that are taught from virtually every pulpit today, on every television channel, and on every Christian radio station; however, I am not at eternal odds with the individuals who preach these counterfeit messages. My heart literally goes out to all of them because they simply do not understand Christ’s plan of salvation. They have been lied to by a crafty enemy named Satan, whose sole aim is to take as many people with him to the lake of fire as he can possibly manage to steal away from God using a counterfeit plan of salvation that appears so real, so genuine, and so holy that few ever realize they have been deceived by it. Oh reader, so many of today’s professing Christians who think they are going to heaven when they die are not going to make it to heaven as they had assumed because they’ve been lied to by today’s error-filled gospel messages.

A tree without fruit is still a tree with roots. This is evidenced by the parable of the sower and the seed in Luke 8:12-15. Of the four groups, only the first group are unsaved, because the Devil removed the seed from their soul before it could sprout into new life. The second and third groups represent believers who never mature to bear fruit (leading others to Christ). They never matured into fruit-bearing Christians, because of their shallow roots; or because as with the third group, they become choked by the cares, riches and pleasures of this life. Ah, but the fourth group matured, having a good and honest heart the Bible says, keeping the Lord's Word, bearing much fruit unto Christ (cf., John 15:1-7). Just because the second and third groups didn't bear fruit, didn't mean they were not saved (as Ray Comfort errantly teaches).

I have shared these truths with you dear reader, to help solidify your understanding of what the Gospel is not. More people will miss Heaven someday simply because they trusted in TOO MUCH! Everything that is complicated about getting saved is God's part. The only thing that God demands of us to be born-again is to place our childlike faith in Jesus, His only begotten Son.

God's simple plan of salvation is so easy, free and plain to understand that even a small child can be saved. God needed to make His plan of salvation so simple, because the world is full of ignorant, unlearned and stupid people. I say that respectfully and with kindness, but it is THE TRUTH. There are a lot of not so bright humans on the planet. That doesn't make them better or worse than anyone else, it just means that God needed to make His plan of redemption for mankind utterly uncomplicated.

In 2nd Corinthians 11:3-4 the Bible even refers to the saving Gospel as “the simplicity that is in Christ.” We are saved by BELIEVING the Gospel. The “Gospel means GOOD NEWS!!! It is the Good News (or Glad Tidings) that God sent His only begotten Son, Jesus, into the world, to die on a cross to pay our massive debt of sin. Jesus died on a cross! He was buried. And three days later Christ bodily resurrected by a miracle of God from the dead. These three things comprise THE GOSPEL: Jesus' death on the cross, burial and physical resurrection.
There you have it, THE GOSPEL!!! I didn't see anything in there about turning away from sinful ways, did you? Nope! Oh, how men make everything complicated! God's simple plan of salvation is to just put your childlike faith (confidence, trust) in Jesus Christ. God knows that you and I have never seen Jesus, so it is okay to just believe on His name. John 1:12, “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:” Just take God at His Word as recorded in the Holy Bible. Simply BELIEVE the record which God Has given us in His Word of Jesus Christ crucified, buried and risen for our justification. What an awesome God and Savior!!!

Wrong Repentance No Salvation
(MP3 sermon, by Dr. Hank Lindstrom, 1940-2008)

The Gift Of Eternal Life Is Wrapped In The Wonderful Package Of Jesus

Romans 5:18, “Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gi...
