Get Busy Laying Up Heavenly Treasures

Matthew 6:19-20, “Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.”

Hebrews 6:10, “For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.”

Dear reader, there is nothing more exciting to me as a child of God, than to know that I am amassing treasures up in Heaven. In his intriguing book titled: "Justice," Dr. Jack Hyles says:
“I am glad that when I do something to lose a reward, there is something I can do to earn it back. That is what justice is really all about. Justice is equaling the punishment to the crime, but it is also equaling the reward to the good works.” —Pastor Jack Hyles, Justice; chapter 25, “The Positive Side Of Justice
I love what Brother Hyles said. I often think of this truth. We are all guilty sinners! No human being has ever achieved sinless perfection, except Jesus Christ who never sinned even once (Hebrews 4:15-16). I used to think to myself, “Why in the world would God give me any rewards, when I have made so many bad, sinful and unwise choices in my life?” But Pastor Hyles chapter in his book about the positive side of justice helped me understand that God doesn't just look at the bad, like humans do, He looks at the whole big picture. Proverbs 15:3, “The eyes of the LORD are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.”

We all have a certain number of days here upon the earth. I don't know about you, but I want to use my time wisely for the Kingdom of Heaven's sake. I get encouraged by what God said in
Hebrews 6:10, For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister. God promises to reward us as believers for our good works, labors and effort spent for Jesus' sake and the Gospel's.

I love what Jesus said in Mark 9:41, “For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward. Our dear Savior and Lord is so ethical, that He promises to reward even a helper, someone who helps another person who is a disciple of Christ. Even if we give a cup of water to someone who is serving Jesus, God will reward us for doing that. That means God will reward you for volunteering to help out around the local church. If you mow the church lawn, the Lord promises to reward you.

Albeit, these arrogant big name neo-evangelical pastors today, like Jeff Redlin at Pensacola Christian College's Campus Church, who gets paid well over $100,000 per year, already has his reward. I have never made a single penny since 2002 when I began my website ministry. I have spent at least 50,000 hours diligently laboring over the past 20 years for Jesus Christ. Whereas opportunistic clergy like Jeff Redlin only work 8 hours and then go home, I often labor 12 to 16 hours per day on my website ministry. On umpteen occasions I have worked through day and night, on a labor of love marathon, not wanting to lose my momentum. My record is working straight through for 37 hours. I enjoyed every minute of it, by faith fighting the good fight of faith.

And yet, for all my earnest labors for Christ, nearly every pastor I meet expresses contempt for my website ministry. When I came to Campus Church in July of 2021, Pastor Jeff Redlin shamefully falsely accused me of finding weaknesses in preachers. His rude and insensitive remarks hurt my heart, because I knew that he was wrong. THE TRUTH is that I am faithfully contending for the faith, as the Bible commands in Titus 1:13-14, “This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith; Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth.”

Since 2014, I have been sharply rebuking the pastors at the shameful Harvest Baptist Church on Guam. Harvest's pastors are Bob Jones University alumni, who preach the Devil's lie of Lordship Salvation. They promote the Devil's modern corrupt Bibles. They preach a false understanding of Bible repentance concerning salvation:
Dear reader, RIGHT DOCTRINE MATTERS!!!

There is a foolish notion circulating in many churches today that says it is wise not to speak against doctrinal error. The Devil's lie suggests that we cannot reach people for Christ if we offend them with THE TRUTH. That is why Joel Osteen said on national TV that Mormons are true Christians, because he is bought and paid for by the Devil. Joel is so afraid of making enemies that he dare not speak the truth, lest he upset some people. THE TRUTH is that Mormonism is a deadly religious cult, that is rooted in sexual perversion and false doctrine. Mormons deny the deity of Jesus, that He is almighty God. Instead, Mormons claim that Jesus ascended to become godlike, which every Mormons is encourage to do. Mormons also perversely require water baptism to get to Heaven. This is the heresy of Baptismal Regeneration. Kindly said, Mormons are NOT true Christians. They are hellbound in their false religion and unbelief. The Apostle Paul warned about such false prophets:
2nd Corinthians 4:3-4, “But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.”
2nd Corinthians 11:3-4, “But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.”
Sadly, Mormonism has another Jesus, another gospel and another spirit (which is NOT the Holy Spirit of God). Mormonism is a false religion!!! Yet, Joel Osteen tells the world that they are true born-again believers. In so doing, Pastor Osteen has the blood of millions of Mormons upon his hands, for comforting them in their unregenerate state. I quoted to you earlier Titus 1:13-14, which exhorts Christians to REBUKE THEM SHAEPLY who propagate a counterfeit gospel which cannot produce the new birth. Jesus exclaimed in John 3:3b, “Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Getting born-again is not optional if you want to enter into Heaven someday! Satan's greatest weapon is to con people into living the Christian life without ever being born-again!!! That is the sad situation in 98% of America's churches today. They have churchianity without Christianity!

You Must Be Born-Again To Receive Rewards In Heaven

Dear friend, I encourage you to get busy laying up treasures in Heaven. I speak to the saints, of course. If you are not a born-again child of God, then the Lord will not honor your good works and labors for Christ. Here is Scriptural proof of what I say:
Matthew 7:21-23, “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”
That is what the prophet Ezekiel meant in the following passage from the Old Testament:
Ezekiel 33:13, “When I shall say to the righteous, that he shall surely live; if he trust to his own righteousness, and commit iniquity, all his righteousnesses shall not be remembered; but for his iniquity that he hath committed, he shall die for it.”
Those wicked false prophets in Matthew 7:21-23 were trusting in THEIR OWN RIGHTEOUSNESS, instead of solely resting in Christ alone:
Romans 10:3-4, “For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.”

Philippians 3:9, “And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:”
The religious Jews in Romans 10:3-4 were caught up on the Old Testament law. God had given the law to His people through Moses, with the intention that the law be used as a measuring stick, by which when compared, men fall short and see their need for Christ (Romans 3:19-20; Galatians 3:24-26). But the Jews misunderstood the purpose of God's law, thinking instead that to get to Heaven they needed to keep the law. But since no one is perfect (i.e., sinless), Paul knew that it was IMPOSSIBLE for anyone to get to Heaven through keeping the law. This is why Paul said in Romans 2:13, “(For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified. Paul told the Jews that in order to get to Heaven by keeping the law, you had to do more than just hear it spoken, you had to keep it 100% perfectly your entire life! No one has ever done, nor ever will do that.

If you do not know for 100% certain that you are going to Heaven dear reader, you CAN know that. If that is you, please read: "I Never Knew You" by Michael P. Bowen, which is a wonderful Gospel tract in book format. I have never liked Gospel tracts, because they are so vague, lacking information and really don't get the Gospel across. If you know of a loved one who is not prepared to enter into eternity, I highly recommend giving them this book as a gift, which you can get on the Amazon.com website.
Most people think the opposite of Scripture! Most people think that where your heart is, your treasure will then follow. But the Bible teaches that where our treasure is, our heart will follow. I love that! There is a very important lesson to be learned here. If you lack feeling in any area of your life, invest in it and the feelings will follow. If you don't feel love for your spouse, start praying for them. Start investing in them with your time, your attention, doing nice things for them, and in time the feelings will come. The Bible says that where our TREASURE is, there will be our HEART also. I have labored day and night since 2002, when God spoke to my soul to start a website to preach THE TRUTH. I have invested tens of thousands of hours, but have never tried to keep track of my time, because God knows all my humble labors. Hebrews 6:10, “For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.”

This is just a brief blog article, to tantalize your thoughts, and not intended to be comprehensive. I have written a book on my ministry website called: 'Rewards In Heaven,' if you would like to read further. If you are not saved, please get saved now friend, before it is too late. Death often comes without notice (Proverbs 27:1). Here is a wonderful MP3 sermon by Pastor Ralph Yankee Arnold titled: "Are You Sure You Are Saved?"
