I cannot sit in any of these churches in my current home town because none of them believe what God said about Jesus. No. It’s better to stay at home; in fact, our very first president, George Washington, said that it’s better to be alone than to be in bad company. In fact, the bible tells true believers to never give money to a false ministry and to never wish an unbeliever “Godspeed.” Now, since Jesus is, in fact, God the Son, He, with an authority equal to that of God the Father’s authority, says most strongly the following truth: “Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that believeth on me hath everlasting life” (John 6:47). Reader, if quitting sinning and making Him the Lord of your life were a part of the equation He would have told us so, outright, but He did not. Salvation is “free” yet the church down the road, and the cults down the road, too, both in your town and in my town, all say that we must live the Christian Lifestyle PLUS have faith in Christ, or in Mary, or a combination of faith in Him or her PLUS all the good works we can do in order to get to heaven. It’s a LIE of Satan. Christ said that in the days before He raptured His body of true believers from this world, before the rise of the anti-Christ, that there would be many, many liars concerning salvation. Although Comfort and Cameron are good men who sincerely believe in what they are doing, they have been hooked in the jaws by a flawed definition of repentance by a lure like fish on the end of a master angler’s pole. They’ve bitten the counterfeit bait that appeared so real to their hungered souls, and as they are being reeled in by the father of lies himself, they are telling everyone else to bite into the bait that they themselves have eaten, yet, they still have not come to the realization that the lure they have bitten cannot nourish them, because it contains no life-giving power.

Brother Bowen is so right... if quitting sinning and making Him the Lord of your life were a part of the equation, then He would have told us so, outright, but He did not. Salvation is a “free gift” (Romans 5:18), yet perverse Bible colleges and corrupt churches everywhere are falsely saying that we must live the Christian Lifestyle PLUS have faith in Christ, or turn from our sinful living PLUS have faith in Christ, which are lies of the Devil. Satan's greatest weapon is to con people into living the Christian life without ever being saved.
When I attended the shameful Harvest Baptist Church on Guam in 2014, I handed hardcopies of “I Never Knew You” to their pastors. The senior pastor Marty Herron has a daughter. Her husband at the time was one of Harvest's associate pastors, who invited me over one Sunday night after church for dinner, the next day on Monday. I gladly accepted the invite. He no sooner had finished inviting me over for dinner, that I handed him a hard copy of “I Never Knew You.” The book offended him so much that he and his wife never called me for dinner. The truth offended him.
I also handed a hard copy to Marty Herron a few weeks later on a Wednesday night at church. The following Sunday evening I was called into the church office and reprimanded for giving that book to others. They were offended that the book exposes their hellbound heroes; namely, Ray Comfort, Kirk Cameron, Charles Stanley, Billy Graham, Franklin Graham, et cetera. A false gospel cannot produce the new birth by the Holy Spirit. The only way to be saved is to wholly lean on Jesus' name, receiving His sacrificial death on the cross as payment for your sins, believing that He was buried and then bodily resurrected three days later. That is “the gospel” by which all who BELIEVE IT are saved (1st Corinthians 15:1-4; Romans 1:16).KING JAMES BIBLE (KJB) — Hebrews 6:1, “Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God.” [emphasis added]
EASY-TO-READ VERSION (ERV) — “So we should be finished with the beginning lessons about Christ. We should not have to keep going back to where we started. We began our new life by turning away from the evil we did in the past and by believing in God.” [emphasis added]Do you see how the new corrupt Bible versions are horribly changing theology in the churches? The King James Bible teaches that we must repent from our DEAD WORKS to be saved, but the ERV teaches that we must stop living a life of deliberate sin (evil) to be saved. The Alexandrian Greek is of the Devil, teaching a works-based plan of salvation. Salvation is NOT by works (Romans 3:20; Ephesians 2:8-9; Titus 3:5; Romans 4:5-6). The doctrine of the imputed righteousness of God silences all the critics.
A baby believer likely won't discern the major theological differences between the ERV versus the KJB. They've butchered the eternally inspired Word of God. Hebrews 6:1 in the ERV sinfully changes the entire plan of salvation, which now requires partial faith in Christ PLUS giving up your sinful bad habits. No wonder our churches are so messed-up nowadays.
