1st Peter 1:3-5, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.”
Dear reader, we are living in strange times of history. Did you know that people are having their dead loved one's bodies frozen in liquid nitrogen? They're paying to have their pets frozen. One of the main companies is Alcor. They'll cryonically freeze your whole per for $130,000. A human will run about $220,000. Perhaps you just want to freeze your pet's head for $30,000. I'm not kidding. The saddest thing of all is the false hope that companies like Alcor offer their clients. See what I mean in the following quote from their website...

Dear friend, what you just read is pure science fiction. It bothers me that Alcor lies to people, when the inspired Holy Bible teaches that death is inescapable. Romans 6:23, “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
The Bible teaches that Adam opened the floodgate of sin and death upon the world. Romans 5:12-13, “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.” The Old Testament law condemns all men as guilty sinners. Romans 3:19-20, “Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.”
You are a dirty sinner friend, and so am I. We are all guilty and deserve to be punished in Hell for all eternity in our sins. There is only one of two places we can go: Heaven or Hell. There is no other place for God to send us. Alcor evidently doesn't believe the Holy Bible. Whereas God says all humans will die because of sin, Alcor claims that in the future scientists will conquer death, and you'll be able to live forever in your mortal human body. As long as there is aging, sickness and disease, there will be death. Just because man has overcome smallpox, leprosy and consumption doesn't mean that mankind will eliminate aging and death. You may die perfectly healthy, but you will die!
In 2016, Smithsonian published an article showing that there were at that time 72,197 people in the United States above age 100, a record number. People are definitely living longer, but have you looked at those 100 year olds? They are all decrepit, hunched over and ready to die. The oldest recorded American was Sarah Knauss who died on December 30, 1999 at age 119. I don't think Alcor's fantasies of humans living indefinitely in the future is a valid claim. In fact, it is ludicrous, but it brings in millions of dollars annually to freeze more pets and people, giving families false hope.
As a born-again Christian since age 13, and a Baptist preacher, I can tell you on the authority of God's Word that the following information from Alcor is a lie...
Cryonics is currently the best-known method for pausing the dying process in a way that allows for potentially restoring good health with medical technology in the future. Cryonics is an ambulance to the future.
Dear reader, no one can “pause” the dying process by freezing someone's head or body. All they can do is deep freeze a DEAD BODY! Ecclesiastes 12:7, “Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.” The moment that you breathe your last breath, and your heart beats its last beat, and you are dead, your spirit and soul will return to God. Hebrews 9:27-28, “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.” Once you are dead, it's all over! Your eternal fate has been sealed by the decision you made back on earth whether to receive or reject Jesus Christ as your personal Savior.
I didn't write this blog to expose or criticize Alcor, not at all. They are doing what they are doing, and I don't care what they do. I am writing this blog because THERE IS A MUCH BETTER WAY TO HAVE ETERNAL LIFE!!! What saith the Scripture? John 6:47, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.” Wow, what an amazing promise from God! John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
Dear friend, why spend $220,000 by signing over your life insurance payout to Alcor, hoping that scientists will somehow discover a way to rejuvenate your dead body? Why do that when God is promising to give you eternal life and an immortal body, if you will simply by faith receive Christ's sacrifice on the cross as payment for your sins, and believe that after being buried, He resurrected from the dead three days later. This is the Gospel (the 'GOOD NEWS'), by which you will be saved if you BELIEVE IT!!!
Romans 1:16, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.” If you will believe (place your confidence in) what Jesus has already done for you on the cross, who paid your debt of sin, you will be immediately, irrevocably and permanently saved. You have God's Word! Isn't that so much better than than Alcor's commitment to watch over your frozen body for the foreseeable future?
If you want to put your trust and hope in some stupid company like Alcor, go ahead, but I'm going to trust in Jesus Christ for eternal life. We'll see how things work out in eternity.
I have to warn you about something though. The Bible teaches that God's wrath is upon you if you are not saved. John 3:36, “He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.” You need to understand that God sacrificed His only begotten (biological) Son, as a ransom for your sins and mine. How would you feel if you loved somebody so much that you sacrificed your son for them, say on the battlefield, but then they were ungrateful?
I once heard a story. I think it is fictitious. A man was working at a draw bridge. His job was to raise and lower the bridge so that ships could pass through the waterway. One day his wife and children came to visit him, waiting for him to get off work in a half hour. The man saw a ship approaching and went to raise the bridge. Just then he saw his only son playing in the gears that rotate as the bridge raises and lowers. He had to make a choice to kill his son, or kill dozens on the ship as it crashes into the bridge. He chose to sacrifice his son. When the ship docked, the man was crying and told the people that he had sacrificed his only son for them. They snickered and didn't take him seriously, laughing as he walked away in tears.
Now, I doubt if that story is true, but I do know that millions of parents have sacrificed their sons on the altar of some foreign battlefield. When our soldier boys came back from war in Vietnam, they were spit upon by a bunch of liberal hippie wackos in California. Can you blame those Moms and Dads of soldiers who sacrificed their lives in Vietnam for being upset at the protesters? But moreover, God gave His only begotten Son as a sacrificial Lamb for you dear reader (John 1:29). So, can you blame God for being angry at someone for rejecting His only begotten Son? Please listen, if you go to Hell at the end of this life, it will only be because you chose to go there. The choice is yours alone to make. Hebrews 10:31, “It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.”
Now Is The Time To Be Born Again
The beautiful, wonderful and awesome news dear friend, is that if you are reading this it is not too late for you. Right now, God wants to save you. You can become a born-again believer this very moment. The first thing you need to know is that God doesn't want anything from you. God doesn't ask you to forsake your sinful bad habits. God doesn't ask you to become religious or go to church. God doesn't ask that you be water baptized. There is NOTHING God wants from you to receive His free gift of eternal life.
What God does want is for you to BELIEVE on His only begotten Son, Jesus. God wants you to know that you are a dirty, rotten, guilty, sinner in His holy sight (Romans 3:10-23). You need to know what you're being saved from. You are a guilty sinner. There is a penalty on sin, which is to spend eternity burning in the fires of Hell. More than likely you don't think you deserve that degree of punishment. If so, it is only because you are looking at yourself, instead of seeing how righteous and holy God is. The Lord is sinless and perfect. Nobody can enter into Heaven if they have committed even one sin (James 2:10).
The Bible teaches in 1st Corinthians 6:9-10, “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.” Most people misunderstand this Bible verse, thinking that God won't let them into Heaven for committing these sins.
Fornication and drunkenness are two of the most common sins today in the United States, which sins appear in the list of those who won't be allowed into Heaven. I receive many emails from frustrated and worried saints, concerned that they might not be saved because of their sinful bad habits. They've been lied to by Lordship Salvation preachers like Ray Comfort, Marty Herron and John MacArthur. If you are one of those confused people, then I want to show you the next verse in 1st Corinthians 6:11, “And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.” Oh, what a beautiful phrase... BUT YE ARE WASHED!!!
Do you know what that means? Revelation 1:5-6, “And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.” The moment that you place your childlike faith (trust) in Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, His precious blood washes all your sins (past, present and future) away.
Let me share a wonderful truth with you. Psalms 103:11, “For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him. As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.” You can only travel so far north, and then you will be going south, and vise versa. However, you could travel east forever and never be going west. You could fly west on a plane forever, and never be going east. God chose the words “east” and “west” on purpose, to teach us that once our sins have been washed in the blood of the Lamb, they are gone forever!!! Isn't that beautiful?
Micah 7:18-19, “Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy. He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.” I love that! If you are saved dear reader, God has cast your sins into the depths of the Marianas Trench 37,000 feet down to the bottom of the ocean!
Now, some wicked sinner may go deep-diving to search for your sins to condemn you, but as far as God is concerned they are gone. Romans 8:34, “Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.” This is a rhetorical question. The implied answer is a resounding, “NOBODY.” Who is he that condemns a child of God? The Devil and his children, or a backslidden saint who behaves like Satan (Revelation 12:10), may try to condemn a believer; but the Word of God plainly teaches that “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus...” (Romans 8:1a).
Every Saint Will Receive An Immortal Body In The Future
Notice that Jesus is the first begotten from the dead. But wait a minute, what about the resurrected bodies of the saints when Jesus died on the cross (Matthew 27:52-53)? What about Lazarus whom Jesus raised up from the dead (John 11:43)? Did not these saints resurrect before Jesus? So why is Jesus called “the first begotten of the dead”? The answer is very simple, Jesus was the first person to resurrect in His glorified body. Lazarus raised up in his human body. Lazarus has to die again eventually. The saints who raised up from their graves when Jesus died on the cross, they had to die again down the road. But Jesus was the first person to raise up in His immortal body, and He is alive forevermore!!!
Dear reader, if you receive Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, you too will be raised up someday with an immortal body. What saith the Scripture? ...
1st Corinthians 15:51-58, “Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.”
The Bible says that Jesus took the “sting” out of death. Like a bee who dies after stinging someone, so also did Jesus die to remove the sting out of death. So when you die friend, you don't need to feel the sting of the second death in the Lake of Fire. Death for the Christian is merely a doorway to the next life, being in Heaven with the Lord. 2nd Corinthians 5:8, “We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.” This life is a continual learning process. That is why when a saint dies, we often say that they “graduated” to Heaven. No believer need to fear death! Psalms 116:15, “Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.” Our death is precious to God because another one of His dear children is coming home to be with Him.
God promises every saint that someday we will be resurrected with the same type of glorified body, that is, one fashioned like unto Jesus' resurrected body. ...
Philippians 3:20-21, “For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.”
I would infinitely rather have God's solemn promise in the inspired Holy Bible of eternal life and a new immortal body by faith in Jesus Christ, than to trust in Alcor's shady commitment to keep my frozen body in liquid nitrogen for future use. Don't be a fool, receive Jesus Christ! John 1:11-13, “He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” Jesus Christ is the only way to Heaven!!!

1st Peter 1:7-9, “That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.”
Wow, that is so precious! We cannot see Jesus, which the Bible acknowledges. That is why we are taught to believe on Jesus' “name.” John 2:23, “Now when he was in Jerusalem at the passover, in the feast day, many believed in his name, when they saw the miracles which he did.” Since you cannot physically see Jesus, it is perfectly okay to just BELIEVE IN HIS NAME to save you. I love Jesus, but I have never seen or met Him in person.
I love Jesus because He loved me first (1st John 3:16). I love Jesus because He lives in my heart, in the form of the indwelling Holy Spirit. Romans 8:9, “But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.” The Godhead (Trinity) lives inside the spirit, soul and body of every born-again believer. 1st John 3:24, “And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.” I love the blessed Holy Spirit, who is God in me.
Time Is Running Out For Lost Sinners
I have an 84 year old neighbour named Maggie. When I first met her earlier this year, I proudly told her that I am a Christian. She didn't hesitate to tell me that she is an atheist. I happily replied, “I'm glad to meet you.” I befriended her with God's love. I have since shared the Gospel with Maggie, but she wants nothing to hear of it. She told me frankly that she didn't come to the decision God doesn't exist quickly. She said it took her a long time, and she had given it a lot of thought. That breaks my heart.
Maggie is nearing the end of her life, and time is running out for her. Oh how foolish she is! All I can do is continue to pray for her, unconditionally love her, and patiently wait in hope. All the prayer in the world cannot force a lost sinner to come to Jesus Christ to be saved, but our prayers can convince God to give them more time and opportunities to be saved. It is my humble opinion that God gave wicked Playboy founder, Hugh Hefner (1926-2017), extra time to be saved, who died at age 91.
From all that I have read, I find no evidence that Mr. Hefner ever got saved. Only God and Hugh know where he went in 2017, but I seriously doubt if Hefner was saved. If he did go to Hell, if wasn't because of his sins, but because of his unbelief. Anybody who dies in their sins, only goes to Hell because they refused to trust Jesus as their personal Savior (John 8:24).
The way to Heaven is simply to BELIEVE the 'Good News' that Jesus was died on a cross for your sins, He was buried and three days later He physically raised up from the dead for your justification. Believe it, Oh sinner, and eternal life is yours!!! 1st Thessalonians 4:14, “For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.”
