John 10:27-29, “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.”
The inspired King James Bible teaches: “ONCE SAVED, ALWAYS SAVED.” I am amazed how many religious people get upset when they hear this truth, often expressed with the abbreviation: “OSAS.” I like to say it this way: “IF SAVED, ALWAYS SAVED.” There are many false conversions in the churches and Bible colleges today. These are they are think they have been saved by turning from all their sins, or by surrendering all to follow Christ.
Case in point is hellbound infidel Ken Ham at Answers-In-Genesis, who errantly teaches on their website that to get to Heaven you must:
“Turn from your sins; turn from your wicked way and begin to follow Christ.” —Ken Ham, Answers-In-Genesis
No, that is not the Gospel taught in the inspired Holy Bible. We read in Acts 16:30-31,“And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.” Let me ask you dear reader, did Paul and Silas answer the Philippian jailer's question of how to be saved, by saying: “Turn from your sin; turn from your wicked way and begin to follow Christ. And second, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.”? No, they did not! So where in the world did Ken Ham get the heretical idea that a lost sinner must “Turn from their sin; turn from your wicked way and begin to follow Christ to be saved”? Ken Ham is inspired by demons!!!
Read what one of my favorite preachers, Pastor Ralph Yankee Arnold, says:
“Work cannot be the evidence of salvation. If works are required as evidence, then they will prove that you are not saved. Your good work cannot prove you're saved; they can only prove that you're not, if you go by works. Why? Because you have to be perfect. So your works can only prove you're not saved. You have to live a perfect life. 'Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.' You have to fulfill everything that is commanded, that you have to do them. You know that good works did not save you!” —Pastor Ralph Yankee Arnold, “Once Saved Always Saved: The Final Word”
“SALVATION is a decision to trust; SERVICE is a commitment to God to perform.” —Pastor Ralph Yankee Arnold, “Works And Grace Clearly Explained”
“If a man could be saved today and lost tomorrow, then there should at least be one portion of Scripture with an illustration, or clear-cut verses, that said so. If a man could be saved today and lost tomorrow, and get saved again, there ought to be at least a story or an illustration or verse in the Bible that said so. Find it! It ain't there. Why would people want to believe something that's not in the Bible? God never said that. People make these things up because they just can't believe it ought to be free. That's too easy. You gotta make it hard.” —Pastor Ralph Yankee Arnold, sermon titled: “Clear Grace”
And here is a helpful quote by Dr. Curtis Hutson (1934-1995):
“To add anything to salvation other than the sacrificial death of Jesus on the cross is to say that His death was not sufficient payment for our sins.” —Dr. Curtis Hutson
I am saddened that today's ungodly preachers wickedly bid Godspeed to an infidel like Ken Ham. Namely, I am speaking about Pastor Clarence Sexton, who has shamefully invited and honored infidel Ken Ham at Temple Baptist Church and Crown College. I am talking about the fools at Pensacola Christian College and their Campus Church, who have also invited and honored Ken Ham, wickedly bidding him Godspeed. 2nd John 1:11, “For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.” Whatever a man represents and preaches is what you partake of when you endorse that evil man. Ken Ham perverts God's simple plan of salvation, preaching the Devil's lie of Lordship Salvation instead.
On the Day of Pentecost, when the Apostle Peter preached the Gospel to several thousand Jews, we read in Acts 2:41 that 3,000 souls were saved that day. They simply “gladly received his word,” that is, the GOOD NEWS (Gospel) of Jesus Christ crucified on a cross, buried and physically risen the third day, and they were immediately saved. Carefully notice (and I challenge you to read Acts chapter 2 if you doubt me) that Peter never told them to turn from their sins. He told them to repent and believe on Jesus Christ. That is, change their mind to believe on Christ. We repent TO believe, not repent AND believe. Evangelist Tom Ferrell got that one wrong. Dr. Ferrell thought you have to repent AND believe, but that is unbiblical. Proof of this is found in the Gospel of John, where we find the word “believe” mentioned 85 times, but never once is the word “repent” mentioned in the Gospel of John. Amen.
As we read in the earlier excellent quote from Pastor Ralph Yankee Arnold, if salvation could be lost then there should be at least one story, one example or one illustration in the Bible where a saved person became lost again, but no such passage exists.
The cliché of “ONCE SAVED, ALWAYS SAVED” is 100% biblical.
