More Damnable Heresy From Pacific Garden Mission

1st Thessalonians 4:14, “For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.”

It is tragic that over a century later, Pacific Garden Mission today preaches the Devil's lie of Lordship Salvation. They've taken Billy Sunday's miraculous conversion and life and made it the standard for everyone who desires to be saved. So according to PGM, if you aren't willing to give up the old sinful ways, you cannot be saved. That is works, not grace!

I like to drop in from time to time at UNSHACKLED, just to hear their latest episodes. Today I listened to the true life story of Debbie Stilley and her alcoholic biological father. I was sickened by what I heard, as I had already sadly anticipated the damnable false teaching from Pacific Garden Mission. The mission's longtime faithful director, Harry Saulnier (1902-1990) never would have tolerated this ungodly counterfeit plan of salvation being preached today at the organization. Here is what I heard in today's latest toxic episode of UNSHACKLED...

“Dad listened very carefully, and when I finished, I asked him if he wanted to put his trust in Jesus Christ, and receive Him as his Lord and Savior, and begin a life of submitting to Him, living for Him. And he said 'Yes.' I was so grateful.”

Dear reader, what you have just read is NOT the Gospel. It is not God's simple plan of salvation, which is by faith alone. Tragically, a group of unsaved neo-evangelical yuppie types have taken control over Pacific Garden Mission, condemning souls to Hell forever with a tainted false gospel. UNSHACKLED is in fact shackling lost sinners to a false gospel. 

Nowhere does the inspired King James Bible teach us to receive Jesus as both Savior and Lord to get to Heaven. You don't make Jesus Lord, He is Lord! Jesus automatically becomes everyone's Lord the moment that you trust Him as your Savior. 1st Timothy 4:10, “For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.” Here we plainly see that Jesus is the Savior of even lost sinners; the Savior of those who knowingly reject Him!

But that doesn't mean Christ-rejecters are saved. It means that if anyone goes to Hell someday, it will only be because they knowingly rejected Christ's payment for their sins through Calvary's cross. 1st John 2:2, “And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.” This Bible verse clearly disproves Calvinism's deadly lie of “Limited Atonement” (which falsely claims that Jesus only died for believers, and not all humanity). The Bible says that Christ died for all men, for the ungodly.

Furthermore, UNSHACKLED gets the Gospel wrong by requiring lost sinners to “begin a life of submitting to Him, living for Him.” No, you don't have to begin a lifestyle of submitting to Christ to get to Heaven, because that would be WORKS, not God's merciful GRACE. Titus 3:5-7, Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.”

“Washing of regeneration” simply means being regenerated, that is, having He (Jesus) who is the beginning born in you. 1st John 5:20, “And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.” Jesus is God and eternal life! So, if you have Jesus living in you as your personal Savior, that is, the indwelling blessed Holy Spirit, then you have eternal life.

The word “saved” here in Titus 3:5 refers to more than the new birth, it also includes the sanctification of the believer. The word “renewing” in the Greek is anakainōsis and means “renovation” by the Holy Spirit. In other words, God saves us by faith alone in His only begotten Son, Jesus (Galatians 3:26); and then the indwelling Holy Spirit begins to renovate us, to conform us into the image of Christ (Romans 8:29).

Pastor Jack Hyles has authored a very helpful book on this topic titled, “Salvation Is More Than Being Saved.” God has a wonderful plan for every believer's life. That plan includes suffering, burdens and heartaches to help us grow (1st Peter 1:7-9), but ultimately we will all be glorified in Heaven with our dear Savior and Lord. I highly encourage you to especially read Dr. Hyles chapter on 'Lordship Salvation,' so that you can better see what is so deadly about the counterfeit plan of salvation of UNSHACKLED.

I feel sick after having listening to today's episode of UNSHACKLED. Please bear with me as I quote the heresy I heard today again, because I really want you to see what is wrong with this theological tommyrot, poppycock and balderdash...

Nowhere does the Holy Bible require a man to submit to live for Christ to get to Heaven. In fact, that was their fatal error in Matthew 7:21-23 that led to their eternal damnation. Jesus denied knowing them as His sheep. In their own defense, they boasted of their “many wonderful works” done in Jesus' name. They boasted of prophesying (preaching) in Jesus' name on earth. They were living the Christian life without ever having been born-again. The way that you get born-again is by trusting in Christ alone, apart from all works (like foolishly thinking you must turn from your sins, and living a life of submission to Christ to be saved).

There is no mention in the preceding fake plan of salvation by UNSHACKLED of one's being a guilty sinner (Romans 3:19-20). No one has ever been saved who doesn't admit that he or she is a guilty sinner in God's sight. You've got to know why you need to be saved, and what you are being saved from. You are a rotten sinner, and so am I. The Bible says that the wages of our sin is death (Romans 6:23). This includes a second death of being tormented in fire and brimstone without hope or relief, day and night forever (Revelation 14:11; 20:11-15; 21:8).

But the 'GOOD NEWS' (GOSPEL), praise God, is that Jesus paid your debt of sin, so that He has made a way of escape from the wrath of God to come upon the wicked (Psalms 9:17). What saith the Scripture? Romans 5:8-9, “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.” Oh dear friend, please do not delay one more second, if you have never received God's free gift of eternal life.

Nor does the sickening preceding UNSHACKLED episode of Debbie Stilley even bother to mention the Gospel. There is no mention Of Jesus' death on the cross to pay for our sins. There is no mention of His burial. There is absolutely no mention of Jesus' bodily resurrection from the dead. But PGM is so enamored with the Devil's deception of Lordship Salvation, that this is all they can think about. Kindly said, PGM and the creators of UNSHACKLED have a works-based-salvation on their brain. PGM is teaching slavation, not salvation!!!

I hope you can discern dear reader how wicked and wrong PGM's perverted theology has become. You DON'T have to “begin a life a life of submitting to Jesus, living for Him,” to get to Heaven. That is the Devil's fallacy of Lordship Salvation. The sincere fools in Matthew 7:21-23 tried PGM's way and are burning in Hell today!!! Please don't take the bait. Please don't buy into UNSHACKLED's damnable heresy!!! Faith is the only righteous thing that I can do.

I think Michael P. Bowen, in his excellent defense of the Christian faith titled, 'I NEVER KNEW YOU,' says it best...

I am at eternal odds with the false, counterfeit messages of salvation-by-works that are taught from virtually every pulpit today, on every television channel, and on every Christian radio station; however, I am not at eternal odds with the individuals who preach these counterfeit messages. My heart literally goes out to all of them because they simply do not understand Christ’s plan of salvation. They have been lied to by a crafty enemy named Satan, whose sole aim is to take as many people with him to the lake of fire as he can possibly manage to steal away from God using a counterfeit plan of salvation that appears so real, so genuine, and so holy that few ever realize they have been deceived by it. Oh reader, so many of today’s professing Christians who think they are going to heaven when they die are not going to make it to heaven as they had assumed because they’ve been lied to by today’s error-filled gospel messages.

Dr. Mark G. Cambron Has it 100% Correct On Repentance

Here is an excellent and needful writing by Dr. Mark G. Cambron (1911-2000) on the subject of REPENTANCE. Please read the following quote carefully, because Dr. Cambron is one of few theologian who gets it, that is, he understands the simplicity of the Gospel and that repentance does not mean turning from sin as proponents of Lordship Salvation foolishly teach...

Repentance is necessary for salvation.

The Greek word for repent is metanoeo, which, translated into English is: to change ones mind. It does not mean to turn from sin. That would add works to salvation.

Repentance for salvation means a change of mind from men's ideas of salvation and religion, to an acceptance of Gods only way of salvation.

This results in a completely new creation, not a reformation of the old. The old nature remains as evil as ever after salvation and has not been reformed . . . The old nature can now be controlled by the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit.

God guarantees salvation. This is His gift to us.
God guarantees reward and fruit to the obedient son.
God guarantees chastening and loss of rewards to the disobedient son.

God does not cast out disobedient children, but in some cases, does take them home. He does not permit His children to live as they please without His discipline and guidance.

Many teach repentance for salvation incorrectly, by including some form of human effort or righteousness, such as willingness to turn from sin, or turning from sin. This is heresy and has confused many people. It adds works to salvation and causes many to not understand Gods great gift. It is probation, not salvation. It is completely unscriptural. It is Galatianism and a counterfeit of the gospel.

It is a tragedy that many Christians live shallow Christian lives. The Cambron Institute is dedicated to the task of training Christian men and women in the importance of total dedication and making Jesus the Lord of their lives not to be saved but because they are saved.

Shallow Christianity cannot be cured by adding works to salvation.

Beware Of PGM's Radio Show, 'UNSHACKLED'

The program 'UNSHACKLED' has been broadcasted on radio since 1950. I am nauseated by the counterfeit plan of salvation being preached today on UNSHACKLED. You didn't hear this garbage 50 years ago on their program. They should rename it to "SHACKLED." Faith is the only righteous thing that I can do. You get saved by coming to God by faith as a guilty sinner, receiving Christ's sacrifice on the cross as full payment for your sins, believing that Jesus was buried, and then bodily resurrected after three days. This is "the gospel" according to the inspired Word of God...

1st Corinthians 15:1-4, “Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:”

What we have just read from the Holy Bible is something very different than the theological garbage being promoted today by PGM's UNSHACKLED radio program. Things that are different are not the same. Tragically, PGM has been deceived by the Devil, embellishing God's simple plan of salvation by adding extra requirements to follow Jesus as “Lord” and living a life of submission to Him, to get to Heaven. Dear reader, this is the Devil's fraud of Lordship Salvation. Please read Dr. Curtis Hutson's excellent rebuttal of Lordship Salvation from his helpful book titled, “Salvation Crystal Clear.” The chapter is called, “Lordship Salvation: A Perversion Of The Gospel.”

Please listen to Pastor Jack Hyles (1926-2001) express his disdain for the Lordship Salvation mess today, which has tragically crept into 90% of Baptist churches today. I was disgusted recently to find a toxic booklet in my home's mailbox from Pensacola Christian College, teaching the Devil's lie of Lordship Salvation. Nowhere does the inspired King James Bible teach that nonsense. Only the modern corrupt Devil's Bible revisions teach that trash, perverted by wicked men for filthy lucre's sake. I sure hope that somebody is listening. Sometimes I feel like the Lone Ranger, like John the Baptist as a lone voice crying in the wilderness of cyberspace. Is anybody listening? I pray and hope so. RIGHT DOCTRINE MATTERS!!!

Pacific Garden Mission is sending lost sinners to the Lake of Fire, by giving them a false hope. You cannot obtain the new birth by surrendering your life to submit to live for Jesus. That is what the fools did in Matthew 7:21-23, but things didn't work out too well for them in the end. They all went to the Lake of Fire. Jesus called them “workers of iniquity.” All of their religious devotion, and calling Jesus: “Lord, Lord,” couldn't save them. They failed to do the only thing that can save anyone, which is to BELIEVE ON THE LORD JESUS CHRIST (John 6:28-29, 40; John 11:25; Acts 16:30-31). The road to Hell is paved with sincerity and good intentions. Proverbs 14:12, “There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.”

True repentance is letting go of your own ideas, of what you think you must do to get to Heaven, and instead placing your childlike trust in Jesus Christ alone. Simply, BELIEVE (put your confidence in) what Jesus did through Calvary's cross to pay for your sins, believing that after being buried, three days later Jesus physically raised up from the dead. Jesus is risen! If He hadn't raised up, then how could Jesus save those who trust in Him? Jesus is alive evermore, to save those who trust Him; and intercede on every saint's behalf as our heavenly High Priest (Romans 8:34; Hebrews 4:14-16). Jesus died as our Sacrificial Lamb, but He raised up as our heavenly High Priest.

Salvation is not a reward for the righteous, it is a gift for the guilty!

Salvation is not doing your best, it is having Christ's best put to your account through receiving Him by faith.

Turning away from sinful ways would be a work.

Faith puts all of the merit where it belongs, on the object of our faith, Jesus and His work.

If to “repent” means to forsake our sinful ways TO BE SAVED, but Jesus already paid for our sins by dying on the cross, then what are we repenting from?

The true Gospel always points you to CHRIST; a false gospel always points to YOU.
