2nd Corinthians 4:3-4, “But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.” 2nd Corinthians 11:1-4, “Would to God ye could bear with me a little in my folly: and indeed bear with me. For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.”
Dear reader, the Devil's methods are still the same today as they were 6,000 years ago in the paradisiacal Garden of Eden. Whereas God had told Adam and Eve in Genesis 2:16-17 that they COULD eat of all the trees in the garden except one (the tree of knowledge), the serpent misquoted God in Genesis 3:1 as saying the exact opposite, that they COULDN'T eat from any of the trees in the garden. God check for yourself and you will see!
The Bible warns that MANY false prophets are gone out into the world. 1st John 4:1, “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.” False teachers are notorious for taking Scripture passages OUT OF CONTEXT. The sinister art of taking words out of context is called “contextomy”:
‘Contextomy’ refers to the selective excerpting of words from their original linguistic context in a way that distorts the source’s intended meaning, a practice commonly referred to as ‘quoting out of context’. Contextomy is employed in contemporary mass media to promote products, defame public figures and misappropriate rhetoric. A contextomized quotation not only prompts audiences to form a false impression of the source’s intentions, but can contaminate subsequent interpretation of the quote when it is restored to its original context. —Research Gate, 'The Art Of Quoting Out of Context'
As we can see, taking someone's words out of context can do lasting and permanent damage! In Bible study there is a concept known as “The Law Of First Mention,” which simply means that the first mention of a word or doctrine in the Bible sets a precedent to help guide us to understand the rest of Scripture. The reasoning behind this is that the first mention of something in the Bible is likely the simplest and clearest meaning of it.
We certainly see that this holds true in the Garden of Eden. The first place in the Bible where something was intentionally taken out of context was when the serpent deceived Eve in Genesis 3:1-5. It is important for us to study and fully understand what happened in the Garden of Eden, because Satan is using this simple but very effective deception in the churches today, still taking God's Words out of context to destroy people's lives!
Dear friend, God deliberately made His plan of salvation very simple, so that even a small child or a mentally challenged (retarded) person, can still be saved. There are a lot of base people in the world, who have low IQs and have difficulty understanding things. So our benevolent God made His plan of salvation utterly simple, free and easy! Let's clarify:
- SIMPLE - The bad news is that we are all guilty sinners for breaking God's commandments. There is a penalty for sin, which is “death” (Romans 6:23). This includes the “second death,” which is to be punished in Hell forever (Revelation 20:11-15; 21:8). But God made a way of escape. The Gospel means “Good News.” It is the Good News that Jesus is the only begotten Son of God, the Christ, who died on the cross to pay for our sins, so we don't have to go to Hell. Jesus was buried and three days later He resurrected from the dead (1st Corinthians 15:1-4).
- FREE - Jesus paid for our sins with His precious blood (1st Peter 1:18-19).
- EASY - All you need to do to go to Heaven is BELIEVE (trust, rest in) the Gospel to be saved.
That is so simple that even a Caveman can do it! Sorry, I was thinking about the old Geico TV commercials. Getting saved is so easy that even a child can do it! I was saved at age 13. Pastor Jack Hyles and Dr. Curtis Hutson were both saved at age 11. Pastor Steven Anderson was saved at age 6. Pastor Ralph Yankee Arnold was won to the Lord by his father-in-law at age 18. Did you know that 85% of believers got saved at or before the age of 18? It is true. Only 4% of people get saved after age 70! Wow, that is scary! Dear friend, if you got saved later in life, consider yourself very fortunate!!! The older people grow, the less likely it is that they will ever come to Jesus Christ to be saved.
No wonder Jesus exclaimed in Luke 18:17, “Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein.” Amen and amen! To be saved, a person must humble them self before God almighty, admitting that they need a Savior to get to Heaven. Adults often are too proud to do that, especially those who have much wealthy, fame and the worldly pleasures of this life.
The Gospel is so simple. You simple need to come to God as a needy guilty sinner, receiving Christ's sacrifice on the cross as payment for YOUR SINS, believing that He is risen from the dead! That's it. If the Good News of the Lord Jesus Christ is your only hope for Heaven, then you are saved dear friend. God authored a particular book of the Bible to show humanity how to go to Heaven, which is the beautiful and simple Gospel of John. NOT ONCE is the word “repent” mentioned in the Gospel of John. Wow! This is so important for you to realize dear reader, because it very clearly shows that repentance is NOT a separate act from BELIEVING to be saved. If repentance we something that needs to be done, in addition to believing, then God would have plainly said so in His Word.
In the Gospel of John we find the word “believe” mentioned 88 TIMES! Ladies and gentleman, that is all that God requires to be saved. What saith the Scripture? ...
John3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”John 6:28-29, “Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.”
John 6:40, “And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.”
John 6:47, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.”
John 11:25-26, “Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?”
John 14:6, “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”John 20:31, “But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.”
These are but a few of hundreds of wonderful Bible passages, which teach us that the way of salvation is simply to BELIEVE ON THE LORD JESUS CHRIST!!!
So why do multitudes of bad pastors, foolish Bible professors and tainted evangelists ADD the unbiblical requirement to “repent of your sin” to be saved? Repenting of one's sins sounds very religious, but it is NOT taught in the King James Bible. You have to be careful about using the Devil's corrupt modern Bible revisions, because many of them have been corrupted by Satan to say “turn away from your sin” to be saved. Please only use the inspired KING JAMES BIBLE!!!
If you pick up and read most religious tracts nowadays, they are very complicated, loaded down with all sorts of extra non-biblical requirements to get to Heaven. Dear friend, the King James Bible DOESN'T ASK YOU TO DO ANYTHING to get to Heaven. When the Gospel is preached, you simply BELIEVE WHAT YOU HEAR (OR READ), and that is how you get saved. The Apostle Paul calls this “the hearing of faith” in Galatians 3:2, “This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?” I love that Bible verse!
But then the ungodly Bob Jones University (BJU) camp come along with their perverse Calvinist doctrine, saying that if you don't do good works that your faith is not genuine and you're not saved! BJU is of the Devil. This is exactly what happened to the churches of Galatia, they were infiltrated by a works-based religious cult who misled them to believe that works are necessary to get to Heaven, under the disguise of faith. Galatians 3:3, “Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?” That is what Dr. Steve Pettit (president of BJU since 2014) is heretically preaching. That is what devil-dog Pastor Marty Herron (former shameful senior pastor who ruined the Harvest Baptist Church on Guam) is foolishly preaching today! These accursed wicked men (Galatians 1:6-9) are damning people's souls to Hell with a Calvinist counterfeit plan of salvation!!!
Repeatedly, we are told in the Word of God that the SIMPLE way of salvation is through faith alone in Jesus Christ. Galatians 3:26, “For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.” The Apostle Paul said that he feared lest the churches of Galatia would be deceived like Eve was tricked by the crafty serpent. The serpent took God's Word out of context in Genesis 3:1, just as Steve Pettit and Marty Herron take God's Word out of context to preach misunderstood repentance and “Lordship” salvation. It is a serious crime to take God's Word OUT OF CONTEXT!!!
I have plainly shown you the simple plan of salvation from the Gospel of John, which is to BELIEVE the Gospel (Good News) that Jesus died on the cross, was buried, and physically raised up after three days. If you make that your only hope for Heaven, you are saved! JESUS PAID IT ALL!!! I know 100% that I am going to Heaven, not because of anything that I have done; but because of what Christ did for me, dying on the cross and shedding His precious blood for my sins, being buried and raising up from the dead victoriously the third day. CHRIST IS RISEN!!! MY SAVIOR LIVES!!!
Dear friend, please don't let ungodly false prophets in the corrupt Bob Jones University religious camp take you to Hell with them! You DON'T have to “repent of your sin” or “follow Jesus” or “fully surrender your will to Christ” or anything else to get to Heaven, just BELIEVE on Him. In fact, if you think you're going to Heaven because you've “repented of your sins,” then YOU'RE NOT SAVED!!!
Partial faith in Christ plus something else equals damnation. The ONLY way to get to Heaven is you must completely REST in the finished redemptive work done by Jesus through Calvary's cross. We are saved by GOD'S RIGHTEOUSNESS, not our own righteousness. Philippians 3:9, “And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:” I have God's imputed righteousness, which is by faith alone in Christ.
The simple way of salvation is through faith in the Lamb of God. Acts 10:43, “To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.” Do you BELIEVE? Trust the Gospel of Jesus Christ now friend and you too can KNOW assuredly that your name is written in Heaven (Luke 10:20).
