Acts 19:32, “Some therefore cried one thing, and some another: for the assembly was confused; and the more part knew not wherefore they were come together.” 1st Corinthians 14:33, “For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.”
We are living in very confusing times in the United States. I have never seen so much confusion as there is today. Sadly, even the churches are confused. I can't think of anything more confusing than having literally hundreds of English Bible versions. You couldn't make this up in a good science fiction movie, having hundreds of Bibles to choose from. Whatever happened to having an infallible, inerrant and inspired Holy Bible? Obviously Satan wants to confuse everybody. Pastor Jack Hyles had this to say about the modern Bible versions:
“You'd be shocked if you knew, how the versions of the Bible that are coming out, which are so unnecessary and not even Bible. You'd be shocked if you knew what they're doing to cause Christian people to feel subconsciously unstable! You'd be shocked if you knew what it's doing to the nervous system of our people—all these Bibles!” —Pastor Jack Hyles, MP3 sermon, Don't Chase The Pendulum (1986).
Consequently, because of conflicting Bible version content, there is much confusion in churches today regarding how to get to Heaven. Some preachers errantly claim that you must turn away from living in sin to be saved. Others say you must be water baptized. Some preachers teach you must surrender your whole life to Christ to be saved, as an exchange of all you are for all that Christ is. My understanding of the King James Bible is that you simply need to BELIEVE the Good News that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, Who died on the cross for our sins, was buried, and three days later He resurrected bodily from the dead.
Who is right? Who is wrong? It cannot be both. What confusion! Don't tell me that it is okay for some preachers to teach that you must cease from willful sinning to be saved, and others do not. You either must forsake your sinful lifestyle of stealing, adultery and drug abuse to be saved or you do not, but it cannot be both. What saith the Scripture? Romans 4:4-5, “Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.” God doesn't owe anyone anything! Salvation is by faith alone. The truth is that you couldn't turn away from your sins if you tried dear friend. The Bible says that even our best righteous efforts and human goodness are absolute filth to God (Isaiah 64:6).
These are confusing times. Everywhere I go in public today, even on the island of Guam, I see young people who are transgendered. I cannot discern if they are male or female, and that is sad. I'm a bit nearsighted at age 53, but my eyes aren't going that bad! The Devil wants to blur the lines of gender. Pastor Jack Hyles preached a helpful sermon on this topic called: “UNISEX.” I love everybody with God's love, so I am not bashing gays or being hateful, they need to know that God loves them. Jesus plainly said that He didn't come into the world to condemn sinners, but to save them (John 3:17; Luke 19:10).
God loves you dear reader and He desires for you to repent and be saved (2nd Peter 3:9). The way you “repent” is to simply “believe on the Lord Jesus Christ” (Acts 16:30-31). God has promised in His inspired Word “TO SAVE THEM THAT BELIEVE” (1st Corinthians 1:21b). No one can keep you out of Heaven except you! There is no sin or heinous evil so grotesque that God is not willing and able to forgive. Isaiah 1:18, “Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.”
I am listening to the Old Testament book of Jeremiah as I type. I listened to Proverbs yesterday. I just heard this Bible verse from Jeremiah 13:15, “Hear ye, and give ear; be not proud: for the LORD hath spoken.” I love that! Dear friend, God has spoken to us through His Son, through the Word of God (Hebrews 1:1-2; Revelation 19:13; John 5:39). There is no confusion for the man who anchors himself to the infallible, innerant and inspired King James Bible!!! Hebrews 6:19-20, “Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil; Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.” What is our anchor? It is the PROMISES of God as recorded in the Scriptures.
I'd rather have Jesus than silver or gold
I'd rather be His than have riches untold
I'd rather have Jesus than houses or land
I'd rather be led by His nail-pierced hand!
There is no need to be confused friend. We have God's Word to light our path in this dark and dreary world of sin and confusion. Psalms 119:103-105, “How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth! Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” The best way to expose the darkness is to shine the light! I am not confused about the Gospel. We are saved by faith alone without works (Ephesians 2:8-9). I am not confused about the Bible. We have the very pure inspired Words of God today in the inspired King James Bible (Psalms 12:6-7).
I am not confused about gender. God created every human being as either male or female (Genesis 1:27). I am not confused about which religion to join. There are approximately 4,400 different religions in the world. Salvation is not found in any religion, but in a person—the Lord Jesus Christ (Acts 4:10-12). I am not confused about the issue of abortion. Taking innocent life is first-degree premediated murder (Exodus 20:13). I am not confused about life. The whole duty of man is to fear God and keep His commandments (Ecclesiastes 12:13). The Word of God is a “LAMP” unto our feet, lighting the way as we take each step (Psalm 119:105). Like a bright lighthouse on a steep cliff overlooking the darkness of a stormy sea, the inspired Word of God is a beacon of light to rescue the perishing in the stormy sea of life.
You don't need to be confused dear reader, and you are all dear to me. THANK YOU for allowing God to use my humble writings to be a part of your life. I take my blog and websites very seriously. I know your time is valuable and you have privileged me with your time, to read what I have to say. Believe you me, that thought continually weighs upon my heart. I want to be a blessing. I want to feed the Lord's sheep, not just vent or rant. There are billions of webpages, but you chose to come here. God bless you whoever you may be.
As I mentioned, you don't need to be confused in matters of faith, morals or life. The Bible has the answer! The Holy Bible is the answer! Jesus Christ is the answer to ALL your problems!!!
