The Devil's Bibles Turn Salvation Into A Process

1st Corinthians 1:18, “For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.”

The inspired Word of God plainly teaches that believers “ARE SAVED.” It is a done deal. Eternal life is a free gift from God (Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9). Just as you were born physically the first time into the terrestrial world; likewise, you are spiritually born the second time into God's Kingdom by faith. Once you were born physically you began to grow; likewise, when a person is born-again into God's family, they need to grow in the Lord. 1st Peter 2:2-3, “As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.” You don't have to continue to grow in order to have been born! That is very important to understand. The same holds true for both the physical birth (by the flesh) and the spiritual birth (by the Holy Spirit of God).

The King James Bible correctly says in our text verse that believers ARE SAVED, but all of the following modern perversions (and these are just but a few) change it to incorrectly read ARE BEING SAVED”...
CSB - 1st Corinthians 1:18, “For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but it is the power of God to us who are being saved.
CEB - 1st Corinthians 1:18, The message of the cross is foolishness to those who are being destroyed. But it is the power of God for those of us who are being saved.
CJB - 1st Corinthians 1:18, For the message about the execution-stake is nonsense to those in the process of being destroyed, but to us in the process of being saved it is the power of God.
CEV - 1st Corinthians 1:18, The message about the cross doesn’t make any sense to lost people. But for those of us who are being saved, it is God’s power at work.
ERV - 1st Corinthians 1:18, The teaching about the cross seems foolish to those who are lost. But to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
EHV - 1st Corinthians 1:18, For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved, it is the power of God.
ESV - 1st Corinthians 1:18, For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
ESVUK - 1st Corinthians 1:18, For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
GW - 1st Corinthians 1:18, The message about the cross is nonsense to those who are being destroyed, but it is God’s power to us who are being saved.
HCSB - 1st Corinthians 1:18, For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but it is God’s power to us who are being saved.
ICB - 1st Corinthians 1:18, The teaching about the cross seems foolish to those who are lost. But to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
ISV - 1st Corinthians 1:18, For the message about the cross is nonsense to those who are being destroyed, but it is God’s power to us who are being saved.
PHILLIPS - 1st Corinthians 1:18, The preaching of the cross is, I know, nonsense to those who are involved in this dying world, but to us who are being saved from that death it is nothing less than the power of God.
LEB - 1st Corinthians 1:18, For the message about the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
As you can see, the Devil's Bibles (all based upon the corrupt Brooke Westcott and Fenton Hort Greek text from Alexandrian, Egypt) are corrupt and turn salvation from an instant new birth, into a lifelong process of living the Christian life (i.e., religion). Satan's greatest weapon is to con people into living the Christian life, without ever being born-again!
“I want to make one thing clear at the start: You cannot do anything to get saved except come to the Lord Jesus Christ.  Oh, how Satan has tried to complicate it! Satan has tried to make more to salvation than that. People have tried to add their own work to salvation.” —Pastor Jack Hyles, “The Simplicity of Salvation
