Ray Comfort Requires Keeping The Law To Be Saved

Hebrews 4:10-11, “For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.”

This is THE SAME damnable heresy that is being shamefully taught at Pensacola Christian College (PCC). PCC invited and honored false prophet Ken Ham, who also teaches this damnable heresy that you must turn from your wicked ways to get to Heaven, which is really being required to KEEP THE LAW to be saved. These false prophets, and corrupt Bible colleges like PCC, MUST be exposed because RIGHT DOCTRINE MATTERS!

I typed out this helpful commentary just now from The Strand Study Bible (page 2132) for 1st John 5:13a, “
These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God;
5:13a There are two reasons why people need to “rethink” the Deity of CHRIST (that believe on the name of the Son of God):

1. It is a necessary part to salvation (Jn 8:24)
God tells us that there are two areas in which we must repent if we are to be saved: (1) we must change our minds as to who we are (Lk 5:31-32 & 13:1-5 and Mt 27:3). We are “sinfully” sick and in need of the Savior and cannot save ourselves (Rom 3:10, 23); and (2) We must change of minds as to who CHRIST is (Mt 4:13-17 & 11:20-24, Mk 1:15, Acts 3:12-19 and Acts 2:38). He's God (Jn 8:24, 58-59) and our only Savior (Acts 4:10-12).
Bible repentance is NEVER to turn away from your sinful bad habits, which would be human REFORMATION, not REPENTANCE. Pastor Strand is correct, we must repent (change our mind) about TWO things to be saved: (1) Who WE ARE; and (2) Who JESUS IS. We are Hell-deserving guilty SINNERS (Revelation 21:8), but Jesus is the crucified and risen SAVIOR (1st Thessalonians 4:14). That is the simplicity of the Gospel—you just have to stop trying to save yourself by WORKS (Hebrews 4:1); and rest in the finished sacrifice of Jesus which He made through Calvary's cross (Hebrews 4:10-11), so that Jesus could apply His precious shed blood to the Mercy Seat in Heaven in the presence of God the Father (Hebrews 9:12, 22-24; 10:1, 12:24).

Ray Comfort False Gospel Given To Millions

What Ray Comfort, Ken Ham, Jack Chick, Pacific Garden Mission's UNSACHKED, Bob Jones University (BJU), and Pensacola Christian College are preaching is something entirely different, where you are required to be willing to KEEP THE LAW in addition to childlike faith in the name of Jesus.

PCC is a cult today! Here is page 62 of the “John & Romans” booklet, which Campus Church delivered right into my mailbox last year. It tells the reader that to be saved you must make a mental check to forsake your sinning:
“I repent of my sins. I realize that sin is something that God hates and I no longer want to hold onto sinful bad habits in my life.”

SOURCE: “John & Romans,” Campus Church at Pensacola Christian College, p. 62
Do you still think I bumped my head? PCC has MUCH blood on their incompetent hands for preaching a counterfeit plan of salvation. PCC's Campus Church mailed this damnable corrupt booklet to 50,000 homes in Pensacola! PCC must be held accountable for perverting the Gospel of free grace, for leading souls into Hell. I am not just barking up an empty tree here folks! If we could stop sinning on our own, we wouldn't need Jesus (Galatians 2:20).

The false gospel that Ray Comfort, Ken Ham, BJU and PCC preach gives you nothing but a burden. Jesus said in Matthew 11:28, "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." Jesus gives rest; Ray Comfort gives you a heavy burden to bear (by trying to stop sinning to get to Heaven). How is the latter a free gift? The reason why PCC has been corrupted is because they refuse to contend for the faith.

Heaven's Door Is Wide Open—Put Down The Pick Axes, Grappling Hooks, Shovels And Jack Hammers

John 10:1, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.”

While I was listening to Alexander Scourby reading the King James Bible from 2nd Samuel, and laying down resting in my chronic neck pain today, the Lord impressed a truth upon my heart from my website. One of my young children drew a picture many years ago that is worth a thousand words. I'm glad that I scanned and saved the picture. Truly, “Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise?” (Matthew 21:16b).

The classic picture (shown below) shows the Jehovah's Witnesses trying to break into Heaven using jack hammers. Then it shows the Seventh Day Adventists trying to scale Heaven's walls to break into the celestial city with grappling hooks. And then the picture shows Roman Catholics trying to break through the roof with pick axes. And still others are attempting to use water (Baptismal Regeneration), thinking it will help them to break into the heavenly city. Ah, but what they all fail to realize is that THE DOOR IS WIDE OPEN!!!

The Door Is Wide Open! Everyone Is Welcome! Eternal Life Is Free!
Romans 10:3-4, “For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.”

The above awesome picture warms my heart just looking at it, first to know that my daughter understands this depth of the simplicity of salvation, but also because it silently refutes every Lordship Salvationist, every Mormon, every Catholic, every Muslim, every false religion in the world. They could enter through the pearly gates for free, but they are trying to climb up and break into Heaven “SOME OTHER WAY” as “a thief and a robber” the Bible calls them (John 10:1, our text verse). Jesus said in Luke 24:25, “O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken.” Jesus is THE DOOR (John 10:9). Amen!

Folks, THE DOOR TO HEAVEN IS WIDE OPEN!!! The Bible proclaims that eternal life is a free gift (Romans 5:15; Ephesians 2:8-9), paid for by the literal, liquid, precious, blood of Jesus (1st Peter 1:18-19; Romans 5:9) that He sprinkled upon the Mercy Seat (Hebrews 12:24) in the heavenly Holy Place (Hebrews 9:12) in the presence of God the Father on our behalf (Hebrews 9:24). Jesus' blood was THE PRICE and the heavenly Mercy Seat was THE PLACE.

All you Lordship Salvation heretics telling people to intent to reform, cease from sinful bad habits, and turn away from a life of sin to receive the free gift of God, PUT DOWN YOUR JACK HAMMERS! PUT DOWN YOUR SHOVELS! THE DOOR IS WIDE OPEN!!! Jesus paid it all! Eternal life is a GIFT from God! A gift is free, with no obligations.

Anytime that someone misled in your church, or a wayward friend, or a confused total stranger, starts talking about needing something more than childlike faith in the gospel to be saved, you just start talking about the Biblical doctrines of THE GIFT OF ETERNAL LIFE and THE IMPUTED RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD and remind them that the satanic, Masonic, religious cults agree with Lordship Salvationists 100% concerning their unbiblical views on repentance . . .
Only the simple, unhampered, unmolested, uncorrupted, preserved, inerrant, inspired, pure Words of God in the King James Bible uphold the SIMPLICITY OF SALVATION by faith alone in the cross of Christ Jesus upon which He died for our sins, was buried, and then resurrected from the dead three days later. Salvation is as simple as walking through a door (John 10:1,9). Salvation is as simple as drinking a cup of water (John 4:14). Salvation is as simple as eating a piece of bread (John 6:51). Anyone who receives the gospel as full payment for their sins has eternal life.

I was thinking today about two men in the Old Testament whom God killed. One man was killed for picking up sticks on the Sabbath Day. The other man was killed for touching the Ark Of The Covenant, which contained the Word of God. Do you know why God justly killed both of those men? The Sabbath Day was a type of Jesus Christ, in whom we REST COMPLETELY for redemption. Today, Jesus is our Sabbath, in Whom we rest for salvation (Hebrews 4:1-11). By collecting sticks on the Sabbath, it symbolized adding human effort (works) to Christ's finished work of redemption at the Mercy Seat in Heaven. Salvation is of the Lord, totally and completely, and man has no part in God's work of salvation. You can learn MUCH more about this important subject in Dr. Jack Hyles' awesome free online book titled, 'SALVATION IS MORE THAN BEING SAVED.'

The Ark Of The Covenant contained the stone tablets of the law of God (the Word of God), the golden pot of manna and Aaron's budded rod. God killed that man for touching the Ark, even though he sincerely was only trying to steady the ark from tipping over (because he saw it swaying back and forth) to let His people know (and let the entire world know) that no one must ever tamper with the Word of God. The Hebrews were forbidden on pain of death from touching the Ark Of The Covenant. God's Words are INCORRUPTIBLE the Bible says in 1st Peter 1:23. When men change the Word of God into a lie (Romans 1:25), they bring swift destruction and damnation upon themselves.

So we learn that God particularly killed these two men in the Bible, one for adding works to salvation and the other for corrupting the Word of God.
It's Not The Shedding Of Jesus' Blood That Saves, But The 'SPRINKLING' Of That Shed Blood
I am reminded of the true story of a minister who visited an elderly lady. Her son had been away in the military on foreign soil for many years. When asked if she ever heard from her son, she said, “No, but he's been sending me these stamps every month, and I papered them on my wall to remind me of him.” They weren't stamps, but foreign money. That little ole lady was wealthy and didn't even realize it, sitting on tens-of-thousands of dollars, which back then in World War II was worth $100,000 in today's money.

In that same way, every human being has the wealth of Heaven, the universe, and eternal life available to them, simply for the taking by faith in Christ, but they don't realize what they're missing (and are going to miss), because Satan hath blinded them (2nd Corinthians 4:4). Romans 8:32 says that if God was willing to give up His only begotten Son for us, how much more shall he FREELY give us all things! God is good! I wouldn't want to miss out on Heaven for anything, and being with Jesus forever in sweet fellowship; but I certainly DO want to miss Hellfire, and have God's promise that I will never go there, because Jesus paid for my sins with His precious blood. I love you Jesus, my God and my Redeemer! Job 19:25, “For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth.” God is so awesome, freely giving us eternal life just for the taking!

Oh, how I desire to proclaim the Biblical truth of the simplicity of salvation by faith alone in Jesus Christ, Who died on the cross for our sins, was buried, and then was miraculously resurrected from the dead after three days. Heaven's Door Is Wide Open—Put Down The Pick Axes, Grappling Hooks, Shovels and The Jack Hammers! You don't have to CLIMB UP SOME OTHER WAY (John 10:1) to get into Heaven my friend, for the pearly gates are wide open and Christ Himself is waiting there to lovingly receive you if you'll come to Him now by faith. As ironic as it may seem, the surest way to miss out on Heaven is TO TRY TO GO THERE!

There are only two basic types of religion in the world: DO and DONE! Either you have been taught a lie and believe that you must DO something to get to Heaven; or else you simply rest in Jesus Christ who paid your ticket (Hebrews 4:1-11), accepting the Biblical truth that your payment to get to Heaven is DONE. Please read, Repentance And Faith.

THE DOOR TO HEAVEN IS WIDE OPEN, COME ON IN BY FAITH IN THE GOSPEL!!! JESUS IS THE DOOR!

Romans 6:23, “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Luke 17:26-27, “And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.”

Beware Of The Satanic 'Church Of Christ' False Religion

Mark 7:7-9, “Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do. And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.”

Someone sent me an invitation to attend the local Gateway Church of Christ in Pensacola. As I always do, the first thing I did was go look for their Statement of Beliefs. What I found is a laughable joke! Clearly, as cults often do, they are hiding their beliefs. Seventh-Day Adventist and Jehovah's Witness church cults do this all the time. Beware of these cults! And may I add, any Baptist church that preaches Lordship Salvation is equally a deadly religious cult!

I had to go searching online for what other Church of Christ (COC) cults believe. They all essentially believe that you must stop living a lifestyle of sin to get to Heaven, which is a counterfeit gospel. Case in point, here is a quote from the Statement of Faith of the Clovis Church of Christ in California...
Again, in Acts 3:19 Peter says

"Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;"

So, if repentance is a requirement, what does it mean and what must we do to meet this requirement? To repent is to change our mind and make the decision that we will change our life to begin serving the Lord as He desires us to serve Him. This is brought about by understanding what God has done for us, and realizing that we are not right with Him in our current condition and that we desire to change so as to please Him. This means, that an immoral person must become moral and upright in lifestyle. For the religious person who has tried to live a life pleasing to God, repentance may involve recognizing that we have not done what God requires of us with regard to salvation and that we must obey the inspired plan in order to be right with Him. If we are in the denominational world, belonging to a church that has a creed or doctrine other than the Bible and/or in addition to the Bible, then we must turn away from such a religion and find a congregation of people that believe in the Bible and only the Bible. (We are certainly happy to help you in any such search.) Repentance then is produced by Godly sorrow (2 Corinthians 7:10) which leads to a change of heart and a change of mind, which is the beginning of a changed life... one that is dedicated to God. [emphasis added]

What you have just read is Satanic! You don't have to “become moral and upright” of your own doing to get to Heaven, you need to receive Jesus' sacrifice on the cross as full payment for your sins. Simply believe that Jesus did it all for you! There is no requirement to become a moral person to be saved in the inspired King James Bible. They started off right in COC by teaching that repentance is “a change of mind, but then they embellished repentance by adding other things to it which are totally unbiblical. The Bible does not say to clean up your life of sin, commit to do better, promise to turn away from sinful bah habits nor to dedicate your life to God to get to Heaven. These things are all proper in their place, but you may do all of these things are never have been saved at all. Jesus emphatically stated in John 3:3b, Ye must be born again.

I love and share David's attitude. Psalms 84:10, “For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand.  I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness. Amen and amen! I'd rather be a doorkeeper in a local Bible-believing church, than to rule in Satan's Hollywood kingdom. I'd rather cut the grass for God's house, than to dwell in Hugh Hefner's mansion. Like Joshua, I'm on the Lord's side (Joshua 24:15).

Here is more damnable heresy taught by the ungodly Church of Christ...
Finally, we must live our lives in faithful and loyal service to our Lord Jesus Christ as God has directed (Revelation 2:10).
SOURCE: https://www.clovischurchofchrist.org/resources/the-plan-of-salvation
That is pure Lordship Salvation, not the free grace Gospel presented in 1st Corinthians 15:1-4. Works have no part in God's simple plan of salvation. Romans 4:5, “But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. Having to live a faithful life and loyal service to Christ to be saved is self-righteousness, not trusting saving faith. Remember, we are saved by GOD'S RIGHTEOUSNESS, not our own goodness (Philippians 3:9). Faith is the only righteous thing that I can do.

Water Baptism Is Not Required To Get To Heaven

The Satanic Church of Christ also corrupts the Gospel by adding a requirement to be water baptized to get to Heaven. Here is what the Clovis Church of Christ errantly teaches...
Acts 2:36-39

"Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ. Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call."

This tells us that baptism is necessary for the remission (forgiveness) of sins.

Pastor Curtis Hutson made this helpful statement: A good rule to follow when interpreting the Bible is to never use an obscure passage to contradict a clear one. Bravo! Yes, that is exactly right! In umpteen places in the New Testament where we are told to “believe” on Jesus to be saved, there is no mention of water baptism. For example: John 6:47, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life. If water baptism were necessary to get to Heaven, then Jesus would have mentioned it here, but He didn't. The thief on the cross didn't have time to be baptized. It would be very wrong to say that God made an exception, when we are plainly told in Galatians 1:6-7 that there is only one Gospel.

The Church of Christ wrest (twist) the Scripture to their own destruction (2nd Peter 3:16-17). No one in the Old Testament was baptized with water to get to Heaven. In the Epistle of First John, the apostle tells us the purpose of his epistle is so that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God” (1st John 5:13). Yet, John never once mentions baptism. This speaks volumes as to this unnecessity of water baptism to be saved. The ungodly Church of Christ have changed God's simple plan of salvation, making it works-based instead of faith-based. Please don't buy into their lies!

My father was right, religion is the worst thing that ever happened to this world. Salvation is not found in any religion, but in the person of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Limited Atonement: A Calvinist Perversion Of The Gospel

1st John 2:2, “And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.”

Just like John MacArthur, Pastor Charles H. Spurgeon (1834-1892) preached the Calvinist heresy of Limited Atonement, the Devil's lie that Jesus didn't die on the cross for all men, He only died for the saints. That directly contradicts the plain teaching of Hebrews 2:9, “But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.” Although Spurgeon made many prolific statements in his sermons which are often quoted, I don't trust his theology, and I humbly don't think anybody else should either.

1st John 4:1-6, “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them. We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.”

We live in a world of deception. The Apostle John emphasizes the fact that
many false prophets are gone out into the world” (1st John 4:1b). Concerning the future Tribulation period Jesus said in Matthew 24:11, “And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.” I learned a new adage this week: Religion is the “Try Harder” Salvation; With The Gospel Of Grace, You Get To Be You. In other words, God saves you JUST AS YOU ARE, so you don't have to forsake one sin to be saved. We're not saved by giving up anything; we're saved by putting our childlike faith (trust, reliance) in Jesus.

We know that a known liar can tell the truth, and a trusted pastor can tell lies.

This Only Would I Learn Of You

Galatians 3:1-2, “O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you? This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?”

The Apostle Paul wrote to the professed Christians at the church of Galatia and asked them one all-important question. Paul said, all I want to know is one thing, and just one thing... “THIS ONLY WOULD I KNOW OF YOU” ...
Galatians 3:2, “...Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?”
Wow! This matter of salvation by faith verses by works was so important that Paul stressed the importance of this truth above the remainder of his letter. Paul told them, I have one critically important question for you, and I just want to know one thing: Did you receive Jesus Christ by the works of the Law, or by the hearing of faith? Paul puts them on the spot doctrinally; which is what he asks: FAITH or WORKS, for it cannot be both?

The Word of God plainly teaches that salvation cannot be by both grace and works...
Romans 11:6, “And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.”
Romans 11:6 identifies most religions in the world today as fraudulent and of the Devil. Most religions teach a works-based plan of salvation and yet still label it as God's grace, but it is no longer grace just as Romans 11:6 warns.

The very moment that you add any self-righteous work (such as water baptism or the keeping of Sacraments) to simple childlike faith in the Son of God, Jesus Christ, then you have corrupted the Gospel. The Roman Catholic and Lutheran teachings on salvation by Baptismal Regeneration and sacramental salvation are works, and; therefore, are not based in the free grace view of the Gospel as taught in the holy Scriptures.

The following information is quoted from page 31 of the excellent work by Dr. Martin R. DeHaan (1891-1965), titled 508 ANSWERS TO BIBLE QUESTIONS (copyright 1952)...
Is the Lutheran Teaching of Baptism Scriptural?

I have read very carefully what you had to say concerning the Lutheran teaching of baptism. The teaching of baptismal regeneration as taught by the Catholic and Lutheran churches is a denial of the doctrine of salvation by grace. —Pastor M.R. DeHaan, '508 Answers To Bible Questions,' p. 31
I agree with Pastor DeHaan, the very suggestion that water baptism has the power to wash away a person's sins is a blatant DENIAL of the doctrine of salvation by grace. The Bible plainly teaches that salvation comes by God's free grace in response to a sinner's faith in Christ Jesus...
Ephesians 2:8-9, “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”
God's grace is greatly overlooked, misunderstood, and outright ignored in many religious circles these days. It is apostasy. No man deserves eternal life, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). You don't deserve to go to Heaven, and neither do I. We are too sinful and corrupted by birth.

So filthy in fact that God says we are guilty of breaking all His Commandments even if we violate just one of them (James 2:10). Surely, no one can fully comprehend just how holy and righteous God truly is. This is why we are admonished in Proverb 3:5-7 to trust the Lord with all our heart, and lean not unto our own understanding. We are to fear God and depart from evil.

The Apostle Paul had only one concern when he wrote to the churchgoers in Galatia, wondering if they were genuine Christians or not. Paul wanted to know how they think they got saved. Was it by doing good works or by the hearing of faith? Paul teaches them that anyone who preaches another Gospel (than the biblical Gospel of salvation by grace through faith) is CURSED!!! (Galatians 1:7-9). And that includes angels Paul said. Even if an angel were to appear and preach a different Gospel, let him be accursed (Galatians 1:8).

There has always been only one Gospel, and it is the very same Gospel by which Abram (later to be re-named Abraham) was saved in Genesis 15:6, “And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness” (see Romans 4:3-6). Paul said He received this Gospel directly from Jesus (Galatians 1:12).

I sincerely ask all my web visitors: THIS ONLY WOULD I LEARN OF YOU...
Galatians 3:2, “...Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?”
What makes you think that you're going to Heaven one day? Hopefully you want to go to Heaven, and I'm sure you do. Only a fool would want to burn in the literal sulfuric flames of Hell, suffering God's wrath and vengeance for all eternity. Have you believed a lie? Has the Roman Catholic religion duped you into believing that you are saved by faith and works, when the Bible clearly teaches in Romans 11:6 that salvation cannot be by works; otherwise it is no longer of grace. Ephesians 2:8-9 adamantly proclaims that salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, the sinless Lamb of God. Romans 3:20 warns that “by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.”

Please make certain that you are wholly trusting in the finished work of Christ, and not in the Sacraments of Roman Catholicism in order to get to Heaven. Phooey on the sacraments of the Lutheran religion that damn men's souls to Hell. Phooey on the false teachings of Scientology, Church of Christ, Seventh Day Adventism, Greek-Orthodox, Mormonism, Jehovah's Witnesses, Christian Science, the Church of England, the Unitarian Universalists (whose membership is 18% atheist), Freemasonry, and so many other apostates who foolishly trust in self-righteous works to get to Heaven. Phooey on the Devil's lie of Lordship Salvation, which foolishly says that you must follow Jesus as “
Lord to get to Heaven. The Devil is a beautiful liar.

The Bible teaches a free-grace view of the Gospel. That is, eternal life is free to every sinner, because Jesus paid our sin debt in full with His precious, literal, physical, blood (1st Peter 1:18-19; 1st John 1:7; Hebrews 9:12, 22-24; Revelation 1:5; 7:14). Salvation is freely paid for (Romans 5:15, 6:23), freely offered (Romans 10:13), and freely received (Revelation 22:17).

Never let the demonic idea remain in your mind that salvation can be of both works and grace, for that is the LIE Satan will use to lead you to Hell (for everlasting punishment when you die in your sins without Christ). Grace, and only God's grace toward undeserving sinners like you and me, can bring salvation, which is through faith alone in the Son of God, Jesus Christ. John 20:31, “But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.”

Make sure you are saved. If you are comfortable attending Catholic religious services, something is very wrong in your heart. Roman Catholics trust in both faith and works to get to Heaven, which is no faith at all according to Romans 11:6. They've believed a LIE of Satan. The best place to hide a LIE is between two TRUTHS. This is exactly what Satan has done with Catholics, who are extremely arrogant and woefully blinded by their own sinful pride.

The truth has few friends these days. The inspired Holy Bible is truth (John 17:17). Jesus Christ is truth (John 14:6). The Holy Spirit is truth (John 14:17; 15:26). Jesus said God the Father can only be worshipped in spirit and IN TRUTH (John 4:24). The Bible can be summed up with just one word: TRUTH! Yet, this sin-cursed world wanders in utter darkness, falling into their own graves over each other, the blind leading the blind into damnation and perdition forever in the Lake of Fire (Revelation 20:11-15; 21:8).

This only would I learn of you dear friend: How do you think you were saved? If you tell me that you have turned away from your sinful living, plus faith in Christ, then I can tell you with biblical certainty that you DIDN'T get saved. If you tell me that you were water baptized, plus you trusted Jesus, to get saved, then you are not saved dear friend; you have been tricked by Satan. Jesus PLUS anything is a counterfeit plan of salvation. It won't be until you repent (change your mind) to forsake trusting in everything else, and decide to TRUST JESUS and Him alone to save you, that you will truly become a born-again child of God.

The Apostle Paul simply wanted to know how the Galatian churchgoers thought they had been saved. He asked them if they thought they had been saved by doing the WORKS of the law, or were they saved by BELIEVING the Gospel when they heard it preached unto them. The latter is the only way anybody ever has been, or ever will be, saved. Acts 10:43, “To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins. Thank you for reading my blog.

Worshipping Statues Of Mary Is The Sin Of IDOLATRY!

Exodus 20:4-6, “Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:  Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;  And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.”

Worshipping statues is the sin of IDOLATRY. When I lived on Guam, my next door neighbour was Roman Catholic. They attended St. Jude Catholic parish down the road. The church would pass around a 2 1/2 foot tall ceramic statue of Our Lady of Fatima (a title for the Virgin Mary due to her alleged apparitions to three shepherd children at Fátima, Portugal, in 1917). The family next door had decorated their home, as if Jesus were coming to stay with them. They decorated the living room, making a shrine to set the IDOLATROUS STATUE.

One day my neighbour had invited me over for something, I cannot remember. His wife invited a group of ladies to gather around and pray to the statue. The knew I was a born-again Christian and didn't agree with their wicked religion, so they started to pray to the statue as I was leaving... AND I WAS LEAVING!!!

In hindsight, it was one of the creepiest things I have ever seen. Literally, Catholic families on Guam pass a statue of Our Lady of Fatima around from house to house. The statue stays in each home for about 3 months, as they wickedly venerate the graven image. I preached the Gospel to my neighbour dozens of time, but he was deadlocked in his mind that works are required to get to Heaven.

Here is the SECOND of God's TEN COMMANDMENTS for humanity:
Exodus 20:4-6, “Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:  Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;  And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.”
By the way, if you examine the official Catholic TEN COMMANDMENTS from no Bible, they have wickedly completely removed the Second Commandment which forbids making and bowing to graven images.

To compensate for the missing Second Commandment, the Vatican deceitfully divided the Tenth Commandment not to covet into two separate commandments (one not to covet your neighbour's wife, and the other not to covet his goods). What a dirty deception! Since Catholics are guilty of worshipping statues, they just CHANGED God's Ten Commandments, throwing the Second Commandment under the bus.

FULL WELL YE REJECT THE COMMANDMENT OF GOD, Jesus said in Mark 7:9, THAT YE MAY KEEP YOUR OWN TRADITION. Catholicism is a prisonhouse of religion!!!

What Is Salvation?

The following is chapter one from Pastor Jack Hyles' (1926-2001) timeless book titled, "Salvation Is More Than Being Saved." Dr. Hyles was the faithful pastor of the First Baptist Church of Hammond for 42 years from 1959 until 2001 when he graduated to Heaven.
God made man for a purpose. That purpose was that He might have a race peculiarly made for His praise and glory and honor and that that race might seek to do only His will. Man chose not to fulfill that purpose when he believed the evil one, and he fell from his lofty estate of Edenic bliss and fellowship with God. Now man has fallen, but God still wants to salvage him. Basically, that is what salvation is...salvation is a salvaging. Now this salvaging is twofold. When a person is born again, his spirit is salvaged. 'Mere is more, however, to salvation (salvaging) than being born again. God also wants to salvage our lives. Ephesians 2: 10, "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them."

We have in our church a man who is educable slow. He is unable to hold a regular job so he goes from garbage can to garbage can and from roadside to roadside trying to find aluminum and tin. When he finds it, he salvages it. However, it is not salvaged when it is simply pulled from the garbage or from the roadside. To be sure, it is no longer in the garbage, and it is saved from the garbage, but it is not totally salvaged until it is recycled and used again. When man fell, he became dung. His righteousness became filthy rags. Salvation's plan was made, but that plan is twofold. The first step in that plan is the salvaging of the spirit of man when man puts his faith in the finished work of Christ. After that salvaging, however, there remains another salvaging (salvation) and that is when man is recycled in order that he may once again fulfill his original purpose just as the tin and the aluminum that are recycled.

Hence, salvation is salvaging everything that is possible. Hebrews 2:3, "How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard Him." The word "neglect" could also be translated "not completing" or "not totally salvaged." The book of Hebrews was written to Hebrew Christians; it was not written to the unsaved. Hence, Hebrews 2:3 was written to the saved, not to the unsaved. The average preacher who preaches from this passage and the average teacher who teaches therefrom, teach that this Scripture tells us that if we neglect being saved, we will not escape the wrath and the judgment of God. Though one who teaches that from this Scripture does not do it an injustice, he does not teach the primary truth that God intended for this passage. God is talking here about saved people neglecting their own salvation. It is not primarily talking about the salvaging from the garbage can; it is talking about the salvaging to the recycling. God is saying that He will punish us if we do not let our salvation be complete. Salvation from Hell and to eternal life is totally of Christ, but God wants more than our souls salvaged; He wants our lives salvaged.

We have four children. When our oldest daughter, Becky, was a senior in high school, I bought her a Hammond organ. I told her that the organ was hers as a gift, but that she should not neglect it. She should practice. She should keep it polished and dusted. The organ was saved to her, but it was not yet saved for its purpose. Its purpose was not just to belong to Becky It was more than that. It was both to belong to Becky and be used by Becky for the glory of God.

When our youngest daughter, Cindy, was seven years old, I bought her a beautiful bicycle, Two weeks after I bought it, I found it in the snow. I reminded her that the bicycle was hers, but that she was neglecting it.

God is telling us here that salvation is ours; that is, the salvation of the spirit is by grace through faith, but God wants us recycled so that we may once again fulfill the purpose of our creation. We are saved by grace through faith from the garbage can. Ephesians 2:8, 9, "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast." We are saved to recycling. Ephesians 2: 10, "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them." The purpose of our being saved from the garbage can is that we may be recycled.

Now don't misunderstand me. If all God does is save us from the garbage can, He is pleased. He does not want us to go to Hell. He wants us to be saved from sin and born again, but His full desire for us is that once we are saved from the garbage can we be totally recycled so once again we can fulfill the purpose of His creating us.

Because of this, soul winning is far more than we think. We equate soul winning with telling someone how to have his name written in Heaven and how to be saved from Hell and to know he is going to Heaven when he dies. This is soul winning, but it is not all of soul winning. If salvation is more than being saved from Hell, then soul winning is more than leading people to be saved from Hell.

Matthew 28:19, 20, "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen." You will notice we have both forms of soul winning mentioned here. We have pulling people from the garbage can. We also have "teaching them to observe all things," which means we are also to lead them to be recycled.

John 15:16, "Ye have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in My name, He may give it to you." Here we are to bear fruit; that is, save them from the garbage can. Our fruit should remain; that is, get them recycled.

James 5:19, 20, "Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him; let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins." This is talking mainly about recycling. This is talking about a brother who is saved from Hell but who has not been recycled for his original purpose. When we win him to Christ, we are soul winning. When we win him for Christ, we are soul winning.

Proverbs 11:30, "The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise." It mentions "he that winneth souls is wise." He that wins souls to salvation from the garbage can is wise. He that wins souls from the garbage-can to the recycling is wiser.

Daniel 12:3, "And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever." Here we are told that we are to turn men to righteousness. There are two righteousnesses. One is imputed righteousness which is the righteousness of Christ which is given us at the new birth. The second is the righteousness that we are to live in our lives. The first righteousness has to do with the salvation from the garbage can. The second righteousness has to do with the salvation of recycling.

Psalm 142:4, "I looked on my right hand, and beheld, but there was no man that would know me: refuge failed me; no man cared for my soul." This is not the cry of a man who has never been saved begging for someone to care for his soul in being born again. This is a born again man pleading for someone to care for his soul in helping him to get recycled. It is care for his saved soul for which he yearns.

Ezekiel 34:16, "I will seek that which was lost, and bring again that which was driven away, and will bind up that which was broken, and will strengthen that which was sick..." This is as much soul winning as the person who goes out with the Roman Road plan of salvation and leads someone to Christ.

There are those who never lead people to Christ. They never snatch anyone from the garbage can. They feet their special calling is to lead them to recycling. This is only half their job and they are not totally obeying the Great Commission or the plan of God. On the other hand, there are those who spend all their time plucking folks from the garbage can and never work to get them recycled. These are not complete soul winners either, for they are only doing half of the Great Commission and leading folks to a salvation that is only a part of what God had in mind in His total plan.

May I ask you, reader, "Are you a soul winner?" Remember that a soul winner is a salvager--one who leads a sinner to choose Christ and one who leads a saint to choose the will of God, the work of God and the plan of God.

The lost man is free to choose good, but he cannot do what he chooses because he is lost. He may admire goodness, choose to do goodness, but he will not do goodness, for even his righteousness is as filthy rags. Isaiah 64:6, "But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away." All he can do is choose Christ. Now that he has chosen Christ, not only can he choose to do good, but he can do good. Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." Now good is available to him, but he needs a soul winner to lead him to choose the good over the bad, and be recycled.

The first part of soul winning is the choosing of Christ so that the choosing of good will be possible and that good will be available. The second part of soul winning is leading the Christian to choose the good that he now can do since he has chosen Christ. He used to hate the penalty of sin; now he hates sin. He has been delivered from the garbage can of inability to do good. Now he must be delivered to the recycling of the choosing to do the good that is now within his reach because he has chosen Christ.

This means that God not only wants the sinner to come to Christ; He wants the Christian to come to usefulness. He not only wants the soul winner to lead folks from Hell and to Heaven by faith in Christ, but He wants the soul winner to continue his soul winning by leading the Christian to choose to be recycled that he might once again be used for the purpose for which God made him. This is salvation!

Beware Of Any Liar Who Says You Must Pray, Call Or Ask To Get To Heaven

John 6:47, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life."

I like what Pastor Curtis Hutson (1934-1995) said: "A good rule to follow when interpreting the Bible is to never use an obscure passage to contradict a clear one." It would be bad Bible interpretation to base a doctrine on one verse, like Romans 10:9, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Countless fools have lifted this Scripture text out of context to create a new pretext (heresy). When properly interpreting the inspired Holy Bible, we must compare Scripture with Scripture to solve the puzzle. If a puzzle piece (i.e., your suggested interpretation) fits, by making sure that it agrees with the whole of Scripture, then you know you've got the correct meaning. If your suggested interpretation doesn't fit, then you've got the wrong meaning and need to keep studying.

The entire Gospel of John was authored by God for the specific purpose of showing humanity how to get to Heaven (John 20:31). In the book of John we find the word "believe " mentioned 85 times without any mention of confessing with the mouth. If "confession" were required to obtain the new birth, then John would have mentioned it. Likewise, in the book of John neither will you find any mention of following Christ, water baptism, surrendering all, or repenting of your sinful ways to be saved. Ungodly, but well-meaning, religious men added these embellishments to pervert God's simple plan of salvation. Woe be unto them in eternity when they are judged!

Also, the same Apostle John who penned the book of John penned the Epistle of 1st John. According to 1st John 5:13 the purpose of John's book is so that believers can "know" that we are saved. Nowhere does John require that we must "confess" to be saved. Dr. Bob Jones Sr. (1883-1968) shared this wisdom:
“'Pray to be saved. Ask the Lord to save you.' This is what I heard a minister say to a convicted sinner who came forward for prayer at the close of an evangelistic service. Nowhere in the Bible are men told to pray to be saved. There are examples where men did pray and were saved. Men are told to repent, to believe, to obey the Gospel, but the Bible never says to pray for salvation. It does say that whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved, but nowhere does the Bible command men to pray to be saved. I think I know why, God, who made the human heart, knew that it was not necessary to tell convicted sinners to pray. If a sinner can see Jesus Christ on the cross, it is as natural for him to pray as it is for birds to sing or flowers to bloom. 'Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved.'” —Dr. Bob Jones Sr., “Comments On Here And Hereafter,” chapter: Prayer And Praise, page 163; Bob Jones University Press, Inc., © 1942
It is heresy for anyone to tell someone that they must pray, call or ask to get to Heaven. The inspired King James Bible is abundantly clear that the man who BELIEVES is saved. John 6:47, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life."

Jesus did tell the Samaritan woman in John 4:10 that if she knew who He was, she would have asked Him for the water of life; but if you read the rest of the chapter, nowhere does it say that any of the Samaritans asked, called or prayed to be saved, it says they BELIEVED on Him. There is nothing wrong with calling, praying or asking Jesus to save you, just so long as you don't trust in prayer to save you. But to say that a person cannot be saved without praying, calling or asking is a perversion of God's simple plan of salvation.
